- Blightborne and brigands play kinda differently basically blightborne guarantees you hit hard kinda brigands guarantees you get to hit in AR. Ultimately it doesn’t change much but basically if you play for resets you roll a lot for buffs outside of flurry cuz rolling is energy positive. Broadsides becomes better in aoe etc, you’re trying to reset ar the moment your AR ends basically
- Divers snapshots your damage so you want to be a hit more conservative with blade flurry charges basically
- So if you end a flurry with 2 cp and no pistol build to 6 before you flurry again that kinda thing
- You space out your flurries to maximize the chance you can flurry if you see divers proc
- Like arguably that’s the right way to play to begin with but it just enforces it
- Basically just be houghtful about your damage profile and you’ll be good
- DeminithYesterday at 11:28 PM
- ok gotcha
- 1 last thing, what do you mean "frontloading your damage"?
- Lettuce HuntYesterday at 11:33 PM
- like your burst comes from bte
- if you play deeper + ace
- so if you do a pull flurry and hit bte then you've done most of your damage basically
- DeminithYesterday at 11:34 PM
- gotcha. one thing I do a lot is fish for buffs at the end of a pull
- so my last cast is usually a roll
- Lettuce HuntYesterday at 11:35 PM
- try not to make your last cast just a raw roll
- DeminithYesterday at 11:35 PM
- so i have 0-1 CP at the start of the next pull
- Lettuce HuntYesterday at 11:35 PM
- more like roll + some sinisters
- cuz the fastest your damage comes out the better
- the more combo points you have the sooner you can blade flurry
- you really shouldn't flurry until you can finish with how wits is now
- because your sinisters early in flurry are big garbage
- DeminithYesterday at 11:36 PM
- yeah ive heard mixed things.
- some rogues say dont flurry until
- you have full CPs and a proc
- Lettuce HuntYesterday at 11:36 PM
- it depends really
- DeminithYesterday at 11:36 PM
- some say flurry on pull
- Lettuce HuntYesterday at 11:37 PM
- okay that's not necessariy correct eitehr
- DeminithYesterday at 11:37 PM
- because if you dont youre missing flurry casts
- Lettuce HuntYesterday at 11:37 PM
- like you don't want to spend like 7-8 globals setting up
- but you have a lot of like, room with flurry
- cuz at the end of a pull it's like, you basically have expended most of your flurry charges
- lets say you're completely tapped on flurries, you've got 35 seconds where you're getting flurry charges right
- so as long as you don't cap flurry charges
- you're not gonna lose any
- DeminithYesterday at 11:39 PM
- so, how do you front load your damage if you dont flurry on pull?
- Oh i get it
- you make sure you have enough CPs for a finisher
- flurry
- finish
- sinister strike
- or, flurry. ambush, finisher, sinister
- 1 last thing I promise
- do you ever hold you BtE
- at the end of a pull
- so you can open with it?
- Lettuce HuntYesterday at 11:57 PM
- yeah
- pretty much always
- if you have a mob with like 400k hp and you don't have to beat a cast or something
- should just keep rolling or if you have a good buff just dispatch
- you're trying to bank a pistol proc and a bte to open with in flurry usually
- DeminithYesterday at 11:59 PM
- You'll still flurry without a proc though if you have enough CPs for a finisher right?
- cuz you get ambush and the finisher to stack wits before using SS
- Lettuce HuntToday at 12:01 AM
- you shouldn't hold flurry for the proc
- like
- it's like from situation to situation
- DeminithToday at 12:01 AM
- yeah but generally
- Lettuce HuntToday at 12:02 AM
- generally your main condition to flurry is probably 2?ish globals where you don't sinister
- just so you get at least like 5-6 wits stack so it's 50/50 whether your sinister sucks balls or not
- basically after you finish at 5 or 6 you have a cp right
- so if you win the 50/50
- then you have a pistol to 5 or 6
- depending on if you got 1 or 2 form passive
- DeminithToday at 12:03 AM
- and then youre guarnteed procs basically
- Lettuce HuntToday at 12:03 AM
- then you hit dispatch and then you're good
- yeah
- but if you open in flurry at like 2 cp no proc
- then you can potentially sinister for like 4 globals
- at that point why not just sinister outside of flurry
- so as to not waste it
- basically
- DeminithToday at 12:05 AM
- well I appreciate the help, Sub. I work on ending pulls with enough CPs for a finisher. I think im still iffy on the blightborne/Blitz thing and how to play each. Initially I thought the proper way to play AR was to press it as soon as it lights up provided youll get most of the full duration of it
- Is there anywhere I can go to find this info? id like to decide which to play and how to best use them but apparently Ravenholdt is useless
- Lettuce HuntToday at 12:06 AM
- idk most of this info just comes from talking with other rogues tbh
- like keep in mind that at the end of the day gear/traits etc like barely matter to a large extent
- you can play the wildest shit and still pump
- like there was a few keys my boy rawr was literally playing loaded dice with marked for death
- and in a three outlaw group of me playing ds alacrity, another friend playing vigor, we all did the same damage
- with less than 1k dps variance
- basically just work on maximizing your uptime and doing the outlaw jobs and your dps just kinda improves itself
- and lots of it is just how tanks pull anyway
- DeminithToday at 12:10 AM
- Okay I guess the one burning question I have is, if you dont reroll good buffs, and you rarely ever, if ever at all, reroll during flurry, then how do you "play BB" in the sense of rolling outside of flurry?
- cuz if youre not in flurry youre always just rolling for good buffs and not rerolling the good ones
- like what changes
- Lettuce HuntToday at 12:10 AM
- you can roll during flurry instead of dispatching when you're late in the flurry
- cuz you don't really impact your dps much if you have a bad buff and you do one roll instead of one dispatch
- dispatch crits for what like 40k?
- 50k?
- yeah it's like a decent amount of damage but if you have like skull bones for example
- and you roll broadsides instead of dispatching
