- lyrics:
- Now I find myself somewhere I cannot be mine
- Mom, I'm not the one, been over it a thousand times
- (There is an octave jump between those lines in the demo, but this is optional.)
- The song is called "Child Actor." I was reading about this apartment building in Hollywood where stage parents live with their kids - some very, very young - as they're trying to get them roles. Some of these people have moved across the country to get there. It's a level of dedication that obviously didn't come from the kids. It really blew me away how even after all the revelations about the terrible things that happen to vulnerable people in the movie industry, there are still people willing to force their kids into that life before they're even old enough to understand what's going on.
