Somin is a mysterius & hard to read person, a total enigma. She tends to be quite guarded around those that don’t know her well. Freedom is the key to Somin's personality, she's independent & doesn't like to be tied down, she just wants to follow her own path in life. She's spontaneous, adventurous and a risk-taker. Change is constant in her world, requiring adaptability and courage. She may be perceived as a wild child by adults and a source of concern by her family, however she doesn't care about anyone's opinion. She's really intense, often a force to be reckoned with. She's is sarcastic, stubborn and argumentative, so don't even try to fight her. When she loses her temper she can be brutal, her sting can be extremely painful. — BACKGROUND:
She was born in Gangwon sorrounded by a loving family. She grew up as an energetic and curiosus kid, she loved sports and did very well at school, but essentially she discovered her artistic side, she ws very good at drawing from an early age. She had a happy childhood until she caught her father cheating on her mother, he begged her to keep the secret and she did, as a 11 year old confused little girl would do. When she turned 13, her father finally left her family, he got married again and had another daughter. Her mother became depressed and she could only count on her older brother that loved her deeply, however, he moved away to go to university when she was 14. Somin met a group of teenagers that were just like her, lost and heartbroken, they became her new family. Thanks to them, she started to drink and smoke weed at the young age of 15. Her mother got better and started to worry about her daughter, but sadly, the old sweet and happy Sonmi had already dissapeared and left a teenager out of control instead. Somin rejected every good opportunity she had to get out of her damaged lifestyle, until she was given a schoolarship to a university in Seoul, she didn't think about it two times and moved there as soon as she got out of high school. She receives money from her brother every month and spends most of it in drugs. She also sells some of her paintings to get some extra money.

He tries to protect her at all costs and also tries to make her understand thay her scars & past don’t define her. He always tries to make her laugh and makes fun of her about stupid little things.

— DEVELOP ABOUT THE LAST BULLET POINT:
She  started smoking weed when she was 15 because she needed a way out of her life, she felt like no one could understand her but her new group of friends, and they use to smoke all of the time. She moved to Seoul with one of her old friends, and he knew people there. This young people were even crazier, they were doing hard drugs and of course she tried them and liked them, she definetly wants to die young. At the end she stops taking drugs (maybe after overdosing)

EXTRA: Even though she takes drugs, she doesn't do it everyday. She goes to college and people see her as a regular (kind of intimidating) student, but no one really knows her.
