- Uri & Athena, War and Magic Training
- Within this scene... By training Athena, and teaching the servant about the basic elements. He would also be teaching himself, to hone the fire within and focus it upon two single points, being the fist of his or even the palms of his hands. They were preparing for the fight to come, for another war against Theria, for the rumors of facing a dragon out there on the mountains! For Uri, this was nothing more than preparing a fellow member of his crew before sending her out to battle... Because if she went in not ready for what she'd see, Uri would've failed her and refused to let her fight.
- [17:51] Uri cos Brienne says, "Just a rumor I caught wind of."
- [17:52] Athena Diakonos says, "Well..."
- [17:52] Athena Diakonos asks, "Do you mind sharing with me?"
- [17:52] Athena Diakonos says, "I don't have many friends to tell me things."
- [17:52] Uri cos Brienne asks, "Of course--Really now?"
- [17:52] Uri cos Brienne says, "I would've thought you'd had plenty."
- [17:52] Athena Diakonos asks, "Why would you think that?"
- [17:52] Uri cos Brienne says, "Well, consider me and my crew your friends from now on."
- [17:52] Athena Diakonos says, "..Mhm."
- [17:53] Uri cos Brienne says, "Simple, you're kind and you're selfless."
- [17:53] Uri cos Brienne says, "That earns many friends."
- [17:53] Athena Diakonos says, "Hopefully."
- [17:53] Athena Diakonos says, "Now.. about the dragon."
- [17:53] Athena Diakonos says, "If you wouldn't mind."
- [17:54] Uri cos Brienne says, "Ah yes, I don't know much about it.. But I do know about Theria, the country we are at war with... They are known to harbor such beast within their mountains... "
- [17:54] Uri cos Brienne says, "Dragons by themselves are a hassle that requires an army of magi to take down."
- [17:54] Uri cos Brienne says, "And unless you're prepared to lose a limb, you need to be well equiped and trained."
- [17:55] Athena looked startled.

- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:57] Uri cos Brienne says, "Not sure if you are coming with me and the rest of the crew."
- [17:57] Uri cos Brienne asks, "But do you have any spells that'll help you?"
- [17:57] Athena Diakonos says, "N- not yet.."
- [17:57] Athena Diakonos says, "I've been sifting through elemental books but.."
- [17:57] Athena Diakonos says, "I'm struggling."
- [17:57] Uri cos Brienne asks, "Mind showing me what you know?"
- [17:57] Athena Diakonos says, "-I can cover my body in an essence shroud.."
- [17:57] Athena Diakonos says, "Though that's about it."
- [17:57] Uri cos Brienne says, "In return... I'll show you the magics of mine and how to obtain them.."
- [17:57] Athena Diakonos says, "Mhm.."
- [17:58] Uri cos Brienne says, "It might help point you to the right direction..."
- [17:58] Uri cos Brienne says, "We're going someplace secretive though."
- [17:58] Uri cos Brienne says, "I don't want anyone seeing this."
- [18:00] Uri cos Brienne says, "This is good enough."
- [18:08]
- {LOAD GAME}
- [18:09] "What's so secret that you had to bring me all the way out here?", the Diakonos asked curiously.
- The sound of the crashing waves added a sound track to the scene that played nicely with the chorus of birds and insects. The field was lit with the light of the stars and the moon overhead. It was oddly calming and slightly cold though not insanely so.
- (Athena Diakonos)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:13] And here they were, both Uri and Athena at the ebach… She probably wondered, why the beach of all places. Well, Uri had a plan for this, as the beach or rather just this one in particular. Because, for Uri, he saw the beach as a setting with all of the basic elements... Wind.. The Sand as Earth, nature itself, the moonlight and stars... And the sun bearing the flame.. The list would go on to even the sound around them, and the very gravity at work towards the high rising tides of the nightly ocean...
- "My secret? Well, you will see soon... It's nothing you'd want to flash off around your enemies as, everyone enjoys taking note of your abilities, so that they could find a weakness and one day destroy you... That's why it is crucial to keep your best potential hidden from too many eyes."
- He smiled a bit, "Now, draw your sword... We'll be sparring for a few rounds, till you can push me to that point of seeing what I hope to show you... In this fight, I want you to feel for the elements around you... See which one guides your sword the best."
- From there, he would assume a good fighting position, only assuming the stance of his Iron Fist.
- (Uri cos Brienne )
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:18] Athena looked saddened to hear her new Master say those words. To think the worst of people. The thought that everyone wanted to note your ability to find a way to beat you was disheartening to the young Diakonos, but she'd simply offer a nod. Drawing her sword to her hand when asked to.
- The green haired girl wouldn't assume a stance of any sort as she held her sword at her side. She only had one sword lesson to go off of and hadn't taken the time to learn anything else aside from striking really. Her gaze would settle on the man before she'd rush forward.
- She didn't get what he meant about finding the element that called out to her, nor did she know how sparring this time would help her any more than any of her previous spars, but she'd give it a shot.
- She needed to be strong enough to stop a dragon if it came down to it. Otherwise a lot of people would end up getting hurt in its path.
- (Athena Diakonos)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:26] To his surprise... Or rather, to his expectations to the very T...Athena was a skilled swords woman able to move around on the sands quite fluently. "You did well, better than I expected really... You were able to take me with just my basic combative stance, that I can be proud of."
- He would reposition himself to be far from her as he spoke once more. "But, tell me, what do you feel? How your movements are flown through your blade, how do you think in the battle field? How natural is it truly?"
- He waits for an answer while also... Picking up the heat, espousing her to more of his skills.. "As you might already know... I am a known as the Phoenix of Osrona, and I'll slowly show you why.."
- The heat around him began to gather...
- The sand would burn even, and the water within began to evaporate as he entered his initial stage of the fire shroud! He would also focus this heat upon his fist, or at least, he triedto perfect the idea of a certain possibility in the future... To him, titles meant nothing, for he was always striving for something greater.
- (Uri cos Brienne )
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:26] Uri cos Brienne asks, "Dragon's usually breathe fire... Can you endure the heat?"
- 18:34] Athena's offensive and evasive maneuvers were likely beyond what was expected of her as even without a proper stance she could move rather fluidly and land her attacks against the Brienne. She however didn't exactly block attacks too well as she was struck again and again by the man's fists.
- The Diakonos would keep her eyes on Uri as he repositioned himself across from her. The teen would stand tall in response to this which was a bit out of character of the girl's usual meek stance.
- "I feel unsatisfied to be frank.. Disappointed in myself.", the girl answered before shifting her weight forward as if preparing to dash. It was kind of obvious by the rising temperature of the beach at night along with that title of Phoenix that the man was a fire Magi.
- The teenager's guess was confirmed when the man covered his body in embers. A brilliant display of fire that would light up the field with its radiance. Imagine.. being perfect in something you didn't choose to do and being mediocre at what you wanted more than anything. The thought was infuriating.
- The girl would lift her blade a bit higher. A frown forming on her face as if she was actually starting to get angry, "I don't have to endure much if I take it down first, right?" Without a moment to process that, the swordswoman was already dashing at the blonde ready to strike.
- (Athena Diakonos)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:38] Uri would have moved onto the next phase of their sparring session, rather quickly too as the battle was drawing near.. "You need to be ready for anything even after you have obtained victory...Dig deep Athena, that dragon will hold nothing back...You need to dig deep and ignite the potential within..."
- The flames around Uri would spread rapidly...Heating up around his fist, trying to achieve that Inferno Fist but with no success..However in his attempt, he would simply go with what he already knew...A flame of his ancestors, what represented the phoenix from within.. Something far more primordial..
- "Heh!" The Captain grunts as the flames around his body began to shine in a mixture of the magics within. Ready for the next fight..
- "This is that secret I wanted to keep...Now get ready before the war begins.."
- (Uri cos Brienne )
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:42] Athena was covered in burns and bruises now as she lifts her sword once more. A hard frown set on her face. She couldn't reach him. It was impossible. There were too many flames between them. She wanted to give up more than anything.. The essence shroud covering the girl seemed to shudder a bit before the girl took a steady breath and took something of a defensive stance.
- She.. would just have to tank everything and wait for an opening to strike. The girl's essence shroud would begin to brown as the swordwoman successfully uses the Formian stance.
- (Athena Diakonos)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- 18:43] {Won Restrained RPB against Athena Diakonos}
- [18:45] The battle was rushed, but it was won in Uri's victory... The flames around him would heat up during their battle and from what he could see... It gave Athena trouble from even striking him... "All you need is to find a magic that will make you exceed and pass up the others... Athena, you have that potential, I know it..." He went to help her up, but..
- First... His flames would go from a raging blaze down to a collection of embers, until finally... Nothing but hot air and the flames around his fist, gone as well from this attempt to grasp the inferno connection from within.
- He went to offer his hand to her.. "Think you're ready? We have a war to fight against a great beast from the rumors..." he smiled at her. "I see strength, all you need is direction."
- (Uri cos Brienne )
- [18:47] "Thanks..", Athena replied taking the hand up. She didn't look too thrilled. Being taken down in an instant like that even when she did her best to block and endure really did something to the small amount of pride the Diakonos held for herself.
- "I'll.. work on it I guess.", was all she could really muster before sheathing her sword back onto her back.
- (Athena Diakonos)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:49] He smiles, to try and lighten her up. "It takes time, don't worry... But, we should head to the castle, if we plan to fight..." And so, Uri would lead them off... To the battlefield.
- (Uri cos Brienne )
