  1. Fem wins.

  3. The argument that lightsabers cannot effectively cut through a large piece of metal or even significantly harm Guts himself was one of Ken's weaker opening arguments and an argument that hampered his later responses as something Fem could easily argue around, and it took until Ken's R2 until scans/antifeats used by lightsabers were even brought up by him for comparison, something which allowed Fem to reply with an effective counter in his last response with his feat dump paired with compelling reasoning that Guts' applied force would help Vader cut through his sword. While I felt Ken's R2 did a better job at explaining this point, his R1, I felt, didn't effectively prove that Guts or his sword could even reasonably resist lightsaber attacks (and just made the argument look bad) and anti-feats should have been the focus of the argument to start with.

  5. Granted this is one argument of many being made here and I found the debate of speed to be far more compelling. Ken has a very strong opening with Guts' objective feats vs. Vader's and makes the obvious choice of debating blaster bolts as having unquantified speed, and focusing on this unquantifiability/pointing out Fem conjuring random speeds/numbers really hurt Fem's R1. Forgoing the comparison of projectile feats to compare more objective feats, however, allowed Fem to reply with some comparable objectives from Vader's end while also bringing up anti-feats for Guts that all seemed fairly relevant. I also particularly liked how Fem turned the nerf dart comparison on its head, and honestly giving Fem even shitty possible examples to work with enabled him to come back with better arguments. Like the reverse of the above, I felt like Ken had a stronger opening for speed while Fem had a stronger rebuttal at the end.

  7. The pace of this argument had me going back and forth on who I thought had an advantage. Ken's R1 didn't come off as very strong and failed to make direct comparisons in feats, which made it easy for Fem to then go over this fact and supply said feats. However Ken's R2 did a complete 180 on this and really picked at a few of Fem's own faulty arguments while also committing to much more effective arguments relying on anti-feats and direct comparisons with the feats Fem provided. Fem then returned with a strong finishing reply as well, and while I don't think it really edged out Ken's own R2 in every argument, it was able to reasonably argue the two points (speed/heat) that formed the lynchpin of Fem's overall arguument, which is all he really needed to win here.

  9. Overall though, Fem had two excellent responses while Ken only seemed to pick up pace in his R2, at which point it felt like Fem was already running away with the debate.
