Long ago, when the world was at peace, there was a king named Niji. During his time, people began to rebel, and split into countries. These countries were named after colors. Eventually, Niji died, and a new ruler was never established. The world, separated, slipped into a dark era. Niji's only daughter, Niveous, fell in love with a man named Griseous. They had one boy, named Diamond. This boy would one day become the leader of White along with his wife, Pearl. One day, Griseous disappeared without a trace. Years passed, and Niveous fell in love with another by the name of Chrome. They had a boy of their own, named Onyx, who would one day lead Black. This is the tale of the time when Diamond and Onyx finally crossed paths. Along the way, a mysterious power known as Ascension is discovered, and each side must learn to wield it if they are to succeed in reshaping the world the way they desire.

There were originally 620 chapters planned, I'm in the process of shortening that. Here's all the new chapters and a little summary of each up to about 350.

1. Prologue

The events of the past unfold from the time of Niji's crowning to his death. The story begins in the present with Queen Amethyst's viewpoint of the world's current state. Meanwhile, deep within Blue HQ, King Indigo orders the destruction of Beige for unknown reasons.

2. Rebellion

A violent group known as the Silver Terrorists make themselves known and cripple the nation of Orange. Elsewhere, Indigo's forces obliterate Beige. Word reaches the eastern half of Blue and they are shocked by the act and the entire half chooses to seceed from Blue. They then rename their new country Sky Blue, and their leader, Cyan, declares war on Blue.

3. Outbreak

Blue launches an assault on Sky Blue and their neighboring country Dark Green. Elsewhere, the Silver Terrorists set their sights on the nation of Yellow. Amber, Orange's leader, calls for a final attack to reclaim their territory. The leader of the Silver Terrorists makes himself known as Gray, and demands Amber to surrender or face death.

4. Barrage

Amber asks Red to assist in the fight with Silver, and Red's king, Maroon, agrees. Yellow and its neighboring country, White, all attack Silver simultaneously with Red and Orange. Elsewhere, Queen Amethyst prepares for a meeting with a prince of Red.

5. Escape

Gray flees into Red territory as the Silver Terrorists fall to the quadruple assault. Blue continues it attack, forcing Dark Green and Sky Blue to unite as one nation, Sky Blue. Blue and Sky Blue resume fighting once more.

6. Onslaught

Sky Blue and Blue continue their war, and Blue attacks Pink as well. After making an agreement with Pink to have the two countries unite as simply Sky Blue, Cyan was killed in battle. A man named Aqua then takes over as Sky Blue's leader.

7. War

Amethyst and Prince Ruby discuss political issues at their meeting. To Ruby's horror, the meeting was staged so King Maroon could give the order for one of his soldiers to assassinate Amethyst. The plan proceeds, and Amethyst is shot in the heart. Purple and Red quickly declare war on each other. Red then takes the offensive, attacking Orange and Light Green simultaneously with Purple. Orange's leader, Amber, is killed during the fighting. Meanwhile, Gray stumbles upon a mysterious fortress in the deserts of Red.

8. Shield

Red takes over Orange, Light Green, and half of Purple. Yellow's forces save the rest of Purple and declare war on Red. Elsewhere, Blue grows stronger in their fight against Sky Blue. Gray enters the fortress and is greeted by a man named Ebony, who informs him that he is in the only building considered to be in the nation of Black. The leader of Black's intent is to defeat Red from the inside and claim the rest of the world for himself and the rest of Black.

9. Established

Blue obliterates Sky Blue, and King Indigo orders the death of everyone in Sky Blue. Indigo's son, Azure, who disagreed with nearly everything Indigo did, makes his move and kills his own father. Azure then takes his father's place as king of Blue, and begins the process of undoing all the damage Indigo has done. Sky Blue and Blue reunite as Blue. Elsewhere, Black's army begins to slowly take over Red.

10. Within

Maroon dies of old age, leaving Red without a leader. His son, Crimson, becomes the new ruler. Crimson wants only peace, and stops the attacks on Yellow, White, and Purple. Unexpectedly, the Black army attacks from inside Red territory and takes Crimson captive. Crimson manages to escape, but his whereabouts to everyone else remain unknown. Black quickly seizes control of Red, killing off the people who refuse to join them.

11. United

Topaz, the queen of Yellow, Azure, White's queen Pearl, and several people who the citizens of Purple viewed as leaders come to the agreement to merge Yellow, White, Blue, and Purple into one country, White, to stop Red. A broadcast suddenly begins on televisions throughout the world, and can be heard on every radio. A cloaked man, Ebony and Gray at his side, reveals he is the prince of Black and Crimson has been killed. He also explains that Black has taken control of Red, and the rest of the world is next.

12. Deceit

Black betrays Gray, revealing he was only used because people around the world already feared him and would see Onyx as an even greater threat. Gray is locked away in an underground building, and is told he will be executed the next day. Crimson appears inside the building and defeats the guards. His goal is to beat as many of Black's forces he can find before his demise. Crimson eventually finds Gray and holds him at gunpoint.

13. Counterattack

Crimson spares Gray, and lets him escape. Crimson disappears once again. White prepares to battle Black in a war that will decide who controls the world. Soon enough, the fight begins. Both sides control half the planet, and now battle for the entire thing. Aqua is killed during the battle.

14. Bloodlust

Ebony clashes with a woman from Blue known as Sapphire. Sapphire manages to stall Ebony long enough for one of White's strongest warriors, Ivory, to appear and fight Ebony. Ebony and Ivory enter a struggle with the swords they wield and ultimately end up piercing each other in the chest. White's army pushes forward to Black HQ, and prepares to attack it. King Diamond of White appears for the first time and announces that now is the time to attack.

15. Reborn

White strikes Black in their fortress, and heads inside to face Onyx. Azure is the first and only to enter the throne room during the battle, and he meets Onyx, the prince who appeared during the announcement. Onyx and Azure begin fighting one on one. Suddenly, Azure is shot from behind, and the killer is revealed as Gray. Gray shoots Onyx in the forehead, yet Onyx does not fall. Onyx explains to Gray that he is immortal. Gray charges at Onyx with a knife in hand and stalls him long enough for a few Silver Terrorists, who were still very much alive, to capture him. Gray deceives Black into believing he is their new ruler, and takes his place in Onyx's throne.

16. Ruler

Crimson returns, and enters the castle in secret. With the greatest of stealth, he makes his way into the throne room to face Gray. Crimson sees Azure's body and asks Gray why he's dead. Gray is then told that White, Azure included, want the same world of freedom he does. Gray realizes how grave the mistake he made killing Azure was and apologizes. Crimson forgives him. Just as Crimson prepares to leave, he is struck down. Onyx stands before Crimson's lifeless body, after escaping from the Silver Terrorists, and prepares to reclaim his seat as emperor of Black.

17. Prince

The Silver Terrorists' co-leader, Xanadu, saves Gray from a fatal wound Onyx attempts to make. Xanadu and Gray take as many of their followers as possible and flee the area. As Onyx gets himself set up once again, he sends his son, Umber, and two soldiers with him, Taupe and Rust, to finish off White. Upon reaching where White is stationed, Rust goes on the offensive. He is killed during the fight. A bullet that would have finished Umber is blocked by Taupe, and he dies. Umber retreats and returns with a few dozen soldiers to assist him. Xanadu suddenly appears and joins in the battle against Umber's forces. Once the soldiers are gone, Xanadu battles with Umber. Umber is finally brought down after several minutes of fierce battle. Gray and Xanadu ask some of the people there to escort them to White's leader and ask for unity between Silver and White. Several soldiers from Black rush into where White is stationed and kill Pearl, then are killed by her husband, king of White, Diamond. Diamond takes his sword and gun and leads a final assault on Black HQ.

18. Brother

The soldiers of Black and White do battle. Diamond is shot in the shoulder as he marches into the Black base, but he somehow completely ignores the pain. To everyone's shock, as he enters the building, his wound has completely healed, leaving only a bloodstained sleeve. Diamond enters the throne room and is horrified when he sees Onyx. The two are revealed as siblings who share the same mother, Niveous. Onyx's father once ruled Black, Chrome, but has since disappeared. Diamond's father once ruled the rainbow empire, Griseous, but has also disappeared. Chrome was one of the first to rebel against the rainbow empire. Diamond and Onyx, half-brothers whose parents shaped the world, now face each other. They each are revealed to hold a special power inside them called Ascension. All humans have Ascension. Normal humans have a stage of one almost always, with the occasional human stronger or smarter or faster than others at two. Diamond and Onyx are at stage three, and have acquired the power of healing and immortality. Onyx and Diamond face each other, prepared to fight until the other runs out of energy and falls to a lower stage, then kill them.

19. Clash

Onyx and Diamond fight. They are both evenly matched. One of Black's strongest soldiers, at Ascension stage two surprisingly, is Ivory Black. Ivory Black leads an attack on White's base and hopes to annihilate them. Ruby and Sapphire lead a team to intercept and destroy them. Diamond wears Onyx out and Onyx flees just before his stage drops down to two. Diamond pursues him. Topaz herself joins the fight against Ivory Black and helps push Black's forces back. Onyx finally escapes from Diamond. Black begins to withdraw, with the exception of Ivory Black's team. Suddenly, Ebony strikes from behind, killing Topaz. Ebony reveals that his fight with Ivory did not kill him, because he is immortal. The truth behind it is Ebony is strong enough to heal severe wounds, but not enough to live indefinitely. Ebony, Ivory Black, and the soldiers continue their attack, with the goal of obliterating White and taking over the world.

20. Massacre

Ivory Black is killed along with dozens of soldiers from both sides. With his last breath, Ivory Black kills Sapphire. Ruby and Ebony fight each other one on one. The battle is intense, and unfortunately leads to the demise of Ruby and Topaz, and even more White soldiers. Xanadu appears out of nowhere and unleashes a furious counterattack on Ebony. Ebony manages to escape, but all of the soldiers he brought were killed, as well as most of the people White had protecting everyone.

21. Sacrifice

Diamond shares the story of his past and recent encounter with Onyx with a small group made up of a man from Red named Madder, a scientist from Yellow named Gold, Gray, and Xanadu. After the battle, Gold assists in developing a small device called the Spectrum Omega that will lower someone's Ascension level by one, and kill the ones with a level already at one. Diamond asks Gold to test the weapon on him, and Gold is shocked. Diamond reminds them that the only reason Onyx is immortal is because Diamond lives, and vice-versa. After serious discussion, the Spectrum Omega is equipped to a bullet and fired at Diamond. Regular bullets are launched at Diamond and he falls to the ground, dead.

22. Losses

White's headquarters are attacked by Black, their forces led by a man named Melanic. Gold is killed during the fight. Gold's brother, Icterine, takes over the Spectrum Omega project and works on improving it. Melanic's forces are defeated, but Melanic is not, and he retreats. Gray, Xanadu, and Madder, all of whom now lead White, change White's very name to Rainbow, to symbolize the union of all the colors that stand against Black.

23. Offer

Another fight begins, with the Rainbow army led by a man from white named Argent and a man from black named Atrous. In the midst of battle, a woman from Red, Rose, asks each side why they fight. Argent answers with a desire for peace, and Rose questions if Black may want that same peace. Atrous laughs and shoots her in the forehead. The fight ends in a draw, and Argent and Atrous' forces withdraw.

24. Dusk

Ebony attacks the Rainbow HQ on his own under the cover of night. Dozens of soldiers are killed during his silent assault. Some soldiers awaken and try to attack, but Ebony defeats them all. Gray and Xanadu then fight Ebony together, and take him down for good in a final decisive battle. Ebony dies, and the sun rises again.


25. Return

At Ascension stage four, a person gets a unique ability based on their personality. Diamond's father, Griseous, is revealed as the first and only person to ever reach that stage. Griseous has a brief chat with Diamond in the afterlife, and makes him realize dying isn't an option if he plans to win this war. Griseous sacrifices his own life and brings Diamond back from death. Onyx's stage raises to three, granting him immortality once again. Diamond returns from death and informs the people who knew of his death what happened, then takes command once again.

26. Attack

Onyx sends out another group to attack the Rainbow HQ, this time lead by someone named Violaceous. The soldiers of Rainbow and Black fight yet again. Diamond appears and takes Violaceous on. With few casualities, the soldiers and Violaceous all fall.

27. Revolution

Black and Rainbow are simultaneously attacked by a mystery group. The group is made up of a few followers of King Maroon from Red, and their leader used to be one of Maroon's top men, Amaranthine. Amaranthine desires complete control of the world, and plans to obtain it now, through a battle by the name of the Crimson Revolution. Elsewhere, Onyx discusses various things with a strange man, and refers to the man as his father, Chrome.

28. Onward

Rainbow's forces attack the new Red and slowly bring down their forces. Argent is killed during the fight. A soldier manages to shoot Amaranthine in the face, but his wound heals, revealing he is stage three in Ascension. Madder appears in Amaranthine's room, ready to take him down. Madder is armed with a secret weapon that looks like an ordinary gun. Inside the gun are Spectrum Omega bullets, prepared to finish Amaranthine off.

29. Power

Madder asks Amaranthine why he began the Crimson Revolution. Amaranthine says he wants control of everything, and all the power in the world. Madder asks why, and Amaranthine only tells him he is too foolish to understand. Madder then shoots Amaranthine, negating his immortality and ending his life.

30. Preparations

Chrome goes public, announcing he is the true ruler of Black with Onyx at his side and he will crush Rainbow, starting with their HQ. Diamond remembers who Chrome is and becomes enraged. The following day, Black's forces arrive, with Rainbow ready to defeat them once and for all.

31. Death

Black and Rainbow's armies fight. Diamond and Onyx appear on the front lines, battling each other surrounded by their own armies. Onyx and Diamon eventually clash with swords, and Diamond gains the upper hand. He takes advantage of this and manages to shoot Onyx with the Spectrum Omega. Onyx's immortality fades and blood leaks from his wounds. He begins to smile, and tells Diamond that Chrome is trying to surpass stage three. Onyx's smile fades and a look of fear appears in his eyes. Onyx dies, tears running down his face, and Diamond begins to wonder if Onyx was being controlled by a greater power.
