For an observer observing an object close by, when the observer's elevation changes then the angle to the object changes by a larger amount than when the object is close by.

For example when the observer moves from an elevation of 0 where the angle to the object is 30 degrees to a position of a higher elevation that is higher by approximately 1/3 of the distance to the object the angle is 14°, when the object is approx 7 times further than the elevation then the angle is 23°, when 13 times further away the angle is 26.5.
