↪ PERSONALITY:: in the group, she’s best known as a ball of sunshine, because she’s always smiling and cracking jokes, making others laugh and cheering them up. yerin could also be described as having a “4D” personality because she’s always either doing something weird or laughing by herself/with others. yerin is friendly, and can talk to anyone about anything and everything. however, she hates burdening others with her problems, especially her members, but usually unwillingly ends up needing help from them, whether it’s learning korean or practicing. also, despite her happy image, she’s insecure about herself, mostly on her korean skills, often thinking that her pronunciation is off, or that her accent is weird. but, she uses her smiles to cover up herself insecurities. to conclude, she’s also very hardworking and her korean improves day by day. she hates being seen only for her visuals because she works really hard to live up to expectations, just like all the other members.
↪ BACKGROUND:: yerin’s childhood was fairly normal. she comes from a average-weight family, and was always pretty well-off. when she reached the age of 6, her mother signed her up for dance classes to do as a hobby, and at first, yerin didn’t care for those classes, and as planned, thought of it as a hobby. however, as the years went by, she started investing more time into it, and started talking it seriously. it was also around this time when she developed another passion for singing. her mother noticed this and when she found out about an audition for a chance to join SM Entertainment happening in their hometown, she decided to sign yerin up for it.
she auditioned and passed, letting her move to korea at the age of 18 to pursue her dreams.
