  1. [11:13] The past few nights Yvel had been inconsolable. The nightmares that lingered on from Deimos' magic continued to affect him filling his mind with horrid thoughts of slaughter and chaos. The Young Exorcist still could barely resist the constant stalking of the shadows.
  2.
  3. Yvel never felt save anymore never felt comfort of his sleep or his waking moments. Always looking around his shoulder always wishing the fear and the pain would just go away. Yvel made his way to the mine, The Night no longer giving him the comfort of sleep he decided to use it for his training instead...
  4.
  5. Demons were his foe, Those who were pure instruments of darkness, Yvel moved towards them with rapid force his intention to spill death upon them indiscriminately. It was quite ironic the feelings and sensations he felt when he could finally destroy the very things he knew were his enemies...
  6.
  7. Although it wasn't satisfying enough. Minatare demons posed little threat. Yvel knew where the real threat lingered, Within Moonfall and its crazed savages they were his true foes.
  8.
  9. yet the power to defeat them was absent to him, A demon came towards Yvel from behind within the shadows of the dimly lit cave. Only the Light from the torch potion on Yvel's belt strap and his own holylight was what illuminated his way.
  10.
  11. As the Demon emerged occult spewing from its claws ready to engage Yvel' would channel his light into arrows. Elongating them, Increasing the penetrating powers...and then launching them towards the demon in rapid succession. Bringing the creature down as it spewed purplish black Ichor all over the cavern grounds.
  12. (Yvel Endore)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [11:20] "Its not enough...I won't be satisfied...Not until their all eradicated." Yvel spoke as he continued hunting more and more demons, A one sided slaughter within his own ability to harness lightning and holy magic in union to another.
  16.
  17. The strength of the mage was indeed growing more powerful but his mind, his pride, and his confidence all had been shattered by losing to the occultists. Even if he did try to put on a brave face and improve himself through hard work he knew it would be for naught against such overwhelming power.
  18.
  19. "Just what can I protect if I have no power to do it...All I have become is a beacon that attracts misfortune...Not hope..." Yvel clamored against the side of the Mine walls, Demon blood splashed and dripping over his armor.
  20.
  21. 'Just what the hell could you accomplish? Why did you become a Knight in the first place? Why don't you just die...' The whispers and shadows continued spewing their deceit taking advantage of Yvel's weakness his vulnerability.
  22.
  23. Something Yvel had been training his whole life for was shattered in mere moments and he could not easily reconcile for it. But he knew there was no easy option. As he lingered here...As he suffered more people would be taught the ways of darkness more would become stronger in its practice and more would be hurt and dying due to the nature of the curses used by their wicked magics.
  24. (Yvel Endore)
  25. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  26.
  27. [11:29] The volume of enemies he fought never seemed to bother him, He had slayed demons more times than he can count with Zeitan and yet as he was there alone drenched in the blood of his enemies he only grew colder and colder hearing the voices of the shadows whisper to him.
  28.
  29. Darkness, Anger, Dispassion, Loneliness....and endless wave of emotions Yvel had often never felt any affinity to. And for the first time he couldn't help but allow them to fester within him. He was more than just some perfect Magi.
  30.
  31. More than just some Hero, and in the end he never could imagine himself being more than just a person who protects. A person who fights the evils so others did not have to, but no matter how much he willed it he would never be the equal to Deimos not as he was now.
  32.
  33. But improving upon an Art that so few use to counter evil was incredibly difficult and Yvel had begun to run out of ideas. As he lie there on the cold floor of the of the Mines ignoring the insults and persuasions of the shadows caused by his curse. Yvel would feel a sudden pulse deep within his core.
  34.
  35. As his green eyes followed the sensation he'd notice a strand almost the same breath of a hair leading him to a place within the Mines he had yet to see. The strand was faint and even through the glow of his holy magic could not see where it was leading him, Yet he could feel for the direction within his heart. Almost as if it was a pure essence of emotion that was conscious enough to know Yvel would pick up on the subtly.
  36. (Yvel Endore)
  37. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  38.
  39. [11:42] Almost as if a phantom had been leading him, Yvel would notice as he drew closer and closer towards his unknown destination he would no longer hear the whispers of the shadows. No longer feel their lingering presence hidden within the shadows.
  40.
  41. Yet he was unsure if this was one of their ploy's to lead him to his demise. Although it was far too pointed at him...far more direct rather than the prior tactics the elusive shadows often used.
  42.
  43. Whatever this was wanted Yvel's attention and it wanted him to notice...despite how faint it was it existed far from the reach of mankind. Yvel also drew to a pause when he realized the a mount of monsters and demons were no longer present.
  44.
  45. As Yvel got closer it was almost as if he was transported to an entirely new location, Greenery as far as the eye can see, Light almost as bright as the sunshine, The void of darkness barely visible there yet. What light remained there as well was faint and fading. Plants as far as the eye can see water that fell from the a nearby well in the wall.
  46.
  47. An existence far beyond anything he had ever seen in Esshar prior. It was radiant, far more magnificent than anything he could describe and as Yvel stepped closer he could feel the illumination fill within himself. A warmth even stronger than his own light something that felt as if he had been infused with the very breath of nature itself.
  48. (Yvel Endore)
  49. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  50. [12:22] Yvel was utterly confused, He had no clue what had drawn him here or even why such a place existed, Or even how? Yvel was puzzled his expression still not letting him come to terms with his surroundings or where he was but the feeling he felt he knew it was unlike any other.
  51.
  52. 'Kehehe You take quite well to such magics almost naturally they attract to you. So much so that with just a mere thread of the lifestream you've been pulled into this place, Despite how strong the barrier is it accepted you...how curious!' A small and yet gentle voice spoke from behind a bush
  53.
  54. Appearing out from behind the small creature winced and then yawned as she had seemed to just be waking up. She stretched out her small hands and wings began to flutter up towards Yvel.
  55.
  56. 'I never figured I'd see a human within the Under Grove but I suppose times are changing hmm? I can already sense a lingering shadow amongst the world. I suppose its about time you Essharian discovered the wilds of evil magic, Sooner or later you mortals all fall into it after all.' she claimed as she danced in the sky for a moment before hovering closer to Yvel's person.
  57.
  58. "He had never before seen or even known what manner of creature she was but the waves of the strange magic twinkled around her almost as if she was one with it..no more than that. As if she were apart of it entirely.
  59.
  60. "Just what exactly are you?" Yvel' stated in a puzzled expression only continuing he had seen such a creature but only in books and fairytales...fables and...well the book Theo gave him regarding fairy powder.
  61.
  62. 'I am what you expect me to be! Although as for a name well you mortals have used many during your existences Fae, Fairy, Nyph. I don't really have a preference so feel free to call me whatever you desire' her tones were as warm as the magic she caste. Vines moved according to her touch plant life either sprang to life or moved according to her will
  63.
  64. At first Yvel would've association it to Nature magic but It invoked very little of her mana
  65.
  66. (Yvel Endore)
  67. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  68.
  69. [12:39] Yvel continued to explore with the fae wondering about here and there as he watched her garden using her power to control the earth and sprout up plants as she desired. It was until the fae leaned back and stared at Yvel with a snarky gaze did she begin to enlighten him.
  70.
  71. 'This is the power of the Lifestream you see, Not many have truly mastered its touch and those who have are usually warped by it or try to warp it in their own way.
  72.
  73. Like the Stars the Lifestream is a connecting force between life and death and we fae are almost guardians of such magics. At one point we showed these things to mortals and they became known as the Druids...Although from what I've been able to gather through my spies although...well no there's no reason to delve further into that. You've come here with a purpose in mind have you not?' the little fae spoke with a gentleness unlike anyone else Yvel had known her voice was redeemed with wisdom
  74.
  75. Yvel couldn't really understand exactly what she was going on about but to learn so much at once he felt flustered he had some vague notion of the lifestream but never knew it could do things of this magnitude. "I-I never knew the Lifestream was capable of doing so much just how-" Yvel was cut off by the little faes chuckling at him.
  76.
  77. 'While I have to admit you have some affinity towards the lifestream you are far too green to be using it to your advantage. I think for now at least knowing it exists is enough! But still finding this place and being pure enough to enter it is quite the impressive feat and thus I will give you just a bit of my knowledge. You wish to become strong enough to face occultists yes? Then you must learn to master the Hidden Power of 'Judgement' Its a long and strenuous task but any Exorcists worth their salt should be more than capable.' She said in a relaxed tone, as she opened her and a vine appeared a book intertwined within it.
  78.
  79. 'All you need to know is within this grimoire but I must let you know. The power of judgment can become far more dangerous to those who are untrained and unable to bear the burden it implements. While this will only show you the first few steps the rest you'll have to earn.' She proceeds to tear just a few single pages from the book and wraps them up into a scroll like binding using the very same tree branch to do so.
  80.
  81.
  82. 'Your first task will be to open the bindings of this scroll. It won't be easy and you'll have to become far more adept in your holy magic, Using it in a way you have never done before. But I think you'll learn the basics quite soon...' Yvel would be handed the bundle of paper and then before he could even look back up to speak he would suddenly have appeared within the depths of the cavern no longer in the place called the Under grove.
  83.
  84. He wasn't quite sure if it was real or just a vision but as he turned to open his palm the very same bundle of papers were wrapped neatly in his hand. Trying to remove them wouldn't be that difficult now would it? Just what is this 'Power of Judgment' She spoke of and how can I obtain it....will it be strong enough to fight the darkness?" Yvel had so many unanswered questions so many things he would've liked to ask the fae, yet he was so bewildered in the moment he couldn't even speak. And now with him on the outs of the UnderGrove he had no choice but to forge his path ahead and make the discovery.
