Associate Application Engineers at Discover are focused on learning the fundamentals of quality software engineering. The Associate role programs individual user stories and accelerates technical knowledge by working with and learning from their engineering teammates.

Responsibilities

Learns fundamental programming techniques including structure, testing, and automation

Observes and reacts to failures and quality issues, emits log entries, and helps mitigate security threats using defensive coding

Works at the tasks and/or user stories level

Participates in agile practices and ceremonies including behavior driven development

Learns to use the environment and tools preferred by the organization

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

Bachelors – Computer Science or related

In lieu of education 6 Continuous Months of Relevant Discover Engineering Training
