  1. You are an unremarkable office worker at a large corporation. You are sitting
  2. in your cubicle working on TPS reports. You turn around and see a young woman
  3. with long blonde hair wearing a business suit walking towards you. She is about
  4. your age, but looks to be in her early twenties.
  5.
  6. "Hello," she says. "I'm Mary".
  7.
  8. "Mary," you reply
  9. > Ask Mary how she likes the current weather
  10.
  11. "It's nice out today".
  12. "Really?" you say.
  13. "Yeah, it's been pretty warm lately".
  14. "How come?"
  15.
  16. > Ask Mary to explain solar radiation
  17.
  18. "Solar radiation". Mary replies.
  19. "What does that mean?"
  20.
  21. > Listen to Mary's explanation
  22.
  23. Mary begins explaining about the sun and its activity. She says that it is currently
  24. in a phase of maximum heat, which means that it is producing more energy than
  25. it is using. This cycle will eventually end, but not until the sun has consumed
  26. all the fuel on its surface
  27. > Cry softly while thinking about mortality
  28.
  29. You continue to listen as Mary continues her lecture.
  30.
  31. > Interrupt to ask Mary what she's doing here
  32.
  33. "I'm here because I want to help you".
  34. > Ask Mary what she can help with
  35.
  36. "Well, I could teach you some things about healing magic, or maybe even how to
  37. create your own spells".
  38. > Tell Mary you don't know magic and you only want to finish your TPS reports
  39.
  40. "Oh, okay then, but I really need to get back to work".
  41. > say goodbye to Mary
  42.
  43. You turn around and walk away from Mary, who seems surprised by your sudden change
  44. of attitude. You go home and spend time with your family, but nothing much happens.
  45. You think about going back to school for a bit, but decide against it. You have
  46. enough trouble at work already
  47. > Decide to leave town and become a drifter
  48.
  49. The next day, you pack up your belongings and head towards the nearest town.
  50. As you drive through the countryside, you notice that there are fewer people
  51. walking around. The towns seem deserted. You begin to wonder if this is a sign
  52. that the world is ending
  53. > Search for people
  54.
  55. As you travel further into the wilderness, you see no one else around. It would
  56. appear that everyone has left the area. You look behind you several times, but
  57. nobody is in sight. Your heart sinks when you realize that you may never find
  58. anyone else like yourself again
  59. > Stand in the wilderness and cry for six hours
  60.
  61. You sit down on a rock and begin to cry. You feel so alone, lost and scared.
  62. You begin to pray to whatever god you believe in, but you cannot remember any
  63. details of your prayers. All you know is that you must find someone soon before
  64. the world ends
  65. > Run through the wilderness calling out for anybody
  66.
  67. You quickly run through the woods, calling out to anyone that might be nearby.
  68. Nothing comes to mind, so you give up and return home.
  69. > Search home
  70.
  71. You enter your house and start searching for clues. You find nothing suspicious,
  72. so you conclude that you've made a good decision in leaving town. You spend
  73. the rest of the week trying to relax and forget about your troubles
  74. > Wait for the end of the world
  75.
  76. After a few days pass, you begin to worry again. You're sure that something bad
  77. will happen soon, but you still have hope that it won't. You keep waiting for
  78. the apocalypse, hoping that it will come sooner rather than later
  79. > Drink a beer and wait for the apocalypse
  80.
  81. You wake up and take a long drink from your beer. You hear a loud noise outside,
  82. and rush downstairs to investigate. You open the door and see a large explosion
  83. in the distance. A small mushroom cloud rises high into the sky, and you immediately
  84. vomit
  85. > Stare at the mushroom cloud
  86.
  87. You stare at the mushroom cloud for several minutes, trying to make sense of
  88. what just happened. Then, you realize that you were right; the world did indeed
  89. end. You look at the mushroom cloud and weep silently
  90. > Run toward the explosion
  91.
  92. You run toward the explosion, screaming at the top of your lungs. You try to
  93. reach the bomb shelter, but you're too far away. You scream for help, but nobody
  94. hears you over the sound of the explosion
  95. > Become irradiated
  96.
  97. Your screams attract the attention of other survivors. They surround you and
  98. attempt to put you out of your misery. You struggle desperately, but they overpower
  99. you and force you to their campfire. There, you're forced to watch as they eat
  100. each other alive
  101. > Destroy the other survivors with radiation powers
  102.
  103. You refuse to accept the fact that you'll die, so you use your powers to kill
  104. every single survivor in the campfire. After a few moments, you collapse from
  105. exhaustion. You lie motionless on the ground, unable to move. You slowly fade
  106. away..
  107. > Refuse death
  108.
  109. You remain motionless, refusing to let death touch you. Death approaches, but
  110. you refuse to succumb to it
  111. > Stare into Death's eyes
  112.
  113. Death approaches, but you refuse to succumb to it. Death approaches, but you
  114. refuse to succumb to it. Death approaches, but you refuse to succumb to it.
  115. Death approaches, but you refuse to succumb to it. Death approaches, but you
  116. refuse to succumb to it
  117. > Stand up and scream for Mary
  118.
  119. You stand up and scream for Mary. You run outside and shout for her. Nobody answers,
  120. so you call out for her repeatedly until you finally lose patience and storm
  121. off into the night. You spend the rest of the night pacing back and forth in
  122. your room, crying and sobbing
  123. > Say "What am I going to do? I'm nuclear powered and alone!"
  124.
  125. You continue to cry and lament your situation. You begin to think about what
  126. you should do next. You think about your future and how you'll survive the coming
  127. apocalypse. You think about your family and how you'll raise them. You think
  128. about your friends and how you'll mend fences
  129. > Remember that the apocalypse already happened
  130.
  131. You stop and think about your past life. You recall the day you first saw the
  132. bomb, and how you reacted. You think about the people you killed and how you
  133. felt about it. You remember the lives you destroyed and how you hated it
  134. > Walk back to the office
  135.
  136. You walk back to the office, where you find Mary sitting at her desk. She looks
  137. up and smiles at you
  138. > Ask Mary how she survived the apocalypse
  139.
  140. Mary stares at you, unsure of how to respond. You explain that you witnessed
  141. the bomb being dropped and that you watched it explode. You explain that you
  142. witnessed the bombs exploding and you watched it explode. You explain that..
  143. > Demand to know how Mary survived
  144.
  145. Mary stares at you, speechless...speechles
  146. > Say "I don't know what is happening! Mary, what is happening?"
  147.
  148. Say "I don't know what is happening!"
  149. :
  150. > Sit at desk and cry
  151.
  152. You cry for two days.
  153. You cry for three weeks.
  154. You cry for four months.
  155. You cry for five years
  156. > Realize I have become immortal
  157.
  158. You cry for ten years.
  159. You realize you are now an old man.
  160. You cry for twenty years.
  161. You realize you are now a ghost.
  162. > Search for Mary's ghost
  163.
  164. You find her in the forest.
  165. You ask her how she survived the apocalypse.
  166. You tell her everything that has happened since then.
  167. You ask her if she is okay.
  168. > Listen to Mary
  169.
  170. You ask her if she wants to go back to the office.
  171. You ask her if she wants to stay here.
  172. You ask her if she wants to live forever.
  173. > Grant Mary eternal life
  174.
  175. You ask Mary if she would like to be immortal.
  176. You grant Mary immortality.
  177. You ask Mary if she would like to join you.
  178. You grant Mary immortality.
  179. > Dissolve ghost body
  180.
  181. You dissolve soul.
  182. You disappear forever
  183. > Look around
  184.
  185. You are gone
  186. > Say "Where am I?"
  187.
  188. You are gone
  189. You are nowhere
  190. You are nowhere
  191. You are nowhere
  192. You are nowhere
  193. You are nowhere
  194. You are nowhere
  195. You are nowhere
  196. You are nowhere
  197. You are nowher
