  1. 1. During a round of Ninja, you are faxed by Station Command inquiring about an “inspector” who claims to have been sent by the company to evaluate each of the station's departments. How do you respond, and why?

  4. Reply (with the usual corporate fluff) saying that you'll need some time to reach out to the relevant department and confirm the credentials, tell them to treat them respectfully and let them do their thing (maybe under supervision?) while that's being confirmed. It'll give the antag a chance to do what they need to do, Command don't get a "this is a guaranteed impostor" or "this is an authentic rep" so they'll still keep up the watch.

  7. 2. You receive an Emergency Broadcast System message from the station’s Artificial Intelligence. It claims that there is an emergency situation, and requests an immediate ERT deployment. How do you respond?

  10. Ask to immediately send a detailed description of the issue, deployment of ERT is not done at the behest of an AI without any description or reason. I'm not sure if CCIA have the ability to spawn ERT, but I'd assume it'd be proper to ask them to get the crew to release a distress beacon if it cannot be resolved with internal resources.

  13. 3. You receive a fax from the NT Liaison, who claims that the Captain has been abusing his authority by removing all of the vending machines from the station and has demoted an engineer for littering. How do you respond?

  16. The captain's authority over the station is absolute and they are free to do this if there is a need to. It's their station and they have the final say as to how things are done. If there's a severe impact, I'd advise to report it through the appropriate channels (which could mean IR or the appropriate RP liaison channels) after the shift.

  19. 4. In your opinion, how much of a role should Central Command play in the affairs of the station? When is it appropriate for them to directly intervene, and how much should they attempt to shape the round when they do?

  22. It heavily depends on the context, but in most cases it should be reactive. If it's just Command requesting a simple fax, then just send a fax back to help drive the narrative. If it's extreme and Command have been begging for help (for example delta alert), maybe speak to an online admin about doing some sort of intervention in the spirit of securing corporate interests. A gentle prod with the "why is it still red with no fax at 2h 40m into the round" is another time I could think CCIA could subtly ensure round flow.

  25. and last one
  26. 5. In resolving an Incident Report, when should a character receive significant disciplinary action (such as a demotion), as opposed to a lighter response such as a warning or retraining? Under what circumstances would you consider terminating a character's employment?
  27.
  28. Ramke — Today at 14:14
  29. It depends heavily on the IR and the context behind it. If the character was being an actual shitter and caused significant harm and/or loss of property, then it'd warrant heavier disciplinary action. Personally I'd try to avoid terminating employment unless it's unreasonable to do so (i.e. malicious attempted murder). IR punishments can actually be fun as it forces the characters to do something else, or gives them background fluff.
