  13.
  14. ... was born in a settlement near Iron Peak Mountain and Iron Peak Gulch. The settlement was one which had a majority of dwarves and as a result of it being close to a mountain, the biggest branch which kept the town alive was mining and blacksmithing. Iron Peak Mountain was known for its richness in metals like Iron so the dwarven settlement began to flourish. While the town had excellent blacksmiths, the ores were also exported to other towns and cities like the town in Iron Peak Gulch which is known for the Cursed Blacksmiths.
  15.
  16. The father of ... was named ... and was part of the Blacksmithers guild named "...". As per tradition, ... would get taught in the arts of blacksmithing and work together with his father and eventually inherit the business.
  17. Years passed by, training day in and out. His blacksmithing skills became better and better very rapidly which impressed the Guild Council. ... himself though, thought that this cannot be the only way to blacksmith. He had to read through dozens of books written by dwarven ancestors but all of them were mostly the same. This way of blacksmithing became tradition and nobody questioned it. Innovations in this field simply ceased. Having read through all the books available to him, he decided that he has to get out of the town and find new sources of knowledge. He had to, his inner curiosity and need to perfect his work forced him to. He told his father that he is going out for a small adventure and his father was very surprised that ... is leaving him alone in the workshop. What would make ... get out of town and stop training after several years now? When ... told him of the reason, he got angry and disappointed in his son. His son is insulting the old and reliable traditions of the guild. Seeing obvious anger and disappointment in his father face, he decided to ask him for forgiveness and say good bye to him. His father turnt around and went back to work without saying anything.
  18.
  19. ... left the town and went from town to town until his pouch of gold was merely a pouch of bronze. Having barely any money left, he thought of either going back and working as a blacksmith again having achieved exactly nothing or picking up another craft and working a bit until he has enough money to start exploring again and eventually find some resource which lets him improve his work. As fate decided, an elven Alchemist in the city of Asgaar was searching for an apprentice and ... got wind of it because of some notification getting pinned on the town board while he was passing by. Learning a new craft in the principality of the realm sounded like a good opportunity. He used all of his remaining coins to get on a cart to Asgaar and try his luck.
  20.
  21. Having arrived on Asgaar, he immediately made his way to the Alchemist shop and apply for the position. The elven Alchemist named ... was sort of sceptical towards .... ... 's guild was not exactly known for their affinity in Alchemy or Magic. Despite that, he saw potential in the young dwarf. The drive for perfection, the curiousity and the unusual intelligence for a dwarf convinced the elf to give the dwarf a chance.
  22.
  23. 3 years passed and ... picked up the new craft and in fact he did pick it up a tad bit faster than his previous one. During this time he also had to learn how to speak and read elvish because of the alchemy books of the Elf being mostly in elvish. He might have also read a book or two or maybe even a dozen books about magic and its influence on objects and the possibility of Alchemy enabling one to produce magical spells. Nevertheless, the elven alchemist was secretly extremely proud of the young dwarf. He never thought the dwarf would have been able to achieve all of this in such a short time.
  24.
  25. While ... was really enjoying the new craft, especially because he could brew his own alcohol now, he never forgot his initial goal. Innovating the old traditions of his guild to be more efficient and perfect his work. Thus, he still everyday kept reading as much as he could and experiment with different potions so long his gold pouch allowed him to. It was until one night when ... finally had a genius idea. What if he uses his Alchemy skills on his weapons made with his great Blacksmith skills to infuse those with new properties. Magical propertries to be more exact. He already had found out through the various elven books that he read that potions can produce magical effects but using those to enhance weapons is something he couldn't find in any source of knowledge.
  26.
  27. He got up right when he had this amazing idea and went straight to the alchemy working room, almost forgetting to put on some proper clothes because of his excitement. The elven alchemist having heard the heavy footsteps going downstairs got up from his bed and peeked from his door to see what is happening. He saw his young dwarven apprentice brewing some potions he hasnt seen in a long time. The weirdest thing though is that the dwarf was using the potions on a handaxe that he always carries around. "What was the young dwarf trying to do?" he asked himself. While he was asking that, the handaxe which was very hot because of a firebolt which was casted on it simply soaked up the content of the potions and started glowing in a bright blue light. the dwarf became even more excited as he saw the handaxe glowing. According to his theory, this combination of potions gives the handaxe the property to return back to hands of the person who throws it.
  28.
  29. He goes on the street and the elf sneakily follows him. When he arrives on the street he prepares himself to throw the handaxe and catch it. The elf has no idea what is happening. This is way beyond his understanding of alchemy and its interaction with weapons. The dwarf throws his axe in the empty streets of Asgaar and after hitting the ground, it started flying backwards. ... caught the handaxe and shouted "Yes" very loudly. He made his way back in and noticed his elven mentor peeking from the door.
  30.
  31. Inside, the elven alchemist tells him that he never saw anything like this before and that he only read about it in books which vaguely mentioned it under the name of Artificiers. They talked a bit more in the working room and then decided to go to sleep again.
  32. Next morning, ... asked his mentor whether he could leave his position as an apprentice and start adventuring. The young dwarf said that he thinks that he learnt everything that is possible to be learnt here and he must leave to improve his newly found technique. The elven alchemist was sad but accepted that this is indeed the best option if the dwarf wants to become a master blacksmith and alchemist. He handed him some basic alchemy equipment and told ... that he can return to the alchemy shop at any time he wants. The dwarf will always have a free room in the shop. With some basic tools and a couple of weapons and some armour he crafted together with his father years ago, he went out of the shop to search for new adventures and possibly some companions which could accompany him on his way to perfecting his crafts.
