» | BACKGROUND: born and raised in daejeon, jinyoung was born as an only child. growing up, she was always a curious child. and a spoiled one too. her parents had a hard time saying no to her and she was very prone to temper tantrums. as she grew older, her parents no longer thought it was cute and it was put to an end. at school, she joined basically every club and was very active around campus. while not the best student academically (mostly because of her excessive club activities), she passed with slightly below average grades. when she heard that sm was holding auditions, it wasn't because being an idol was her lifelong dream - it was because she had seen a couple of girl and boy groups performing on tv and thought it would be fun. surprisingly, she got accepted and became a trainee shortly afterwards.

» | PERSONALITY: this girl is the definition of a chatterbox. she has a knack for being able to ramble on and on for hours about literally nothing. she absolutely hates it when it's silent and thinks any kind of silence is awkward silence. she is easily entertained. it also doesn't take much to impress or mystify her. although she isn't stupid, jinyoung definitely can be a bit slow at times. with the attention span of a goldfish, she is so easily distracted that it's honestly a bit alarming. she has a habit of cutting people off because of this trait. she doesn't mean any harm but if a person talks longer than the certain period of time they have before she stops paying attention, her mind begins to wander and she will immediately cut you off if she remembers something she deems important. this has gotten her in trouble a lot and often gives the impression that she's rude, but she doesn't really know what to do about it. she feels guilty about it and even tries to stop herself when she knows she's about to interrupt, but she can't help it and it's only a matter of time before she explodes. her mind wanders A LOT and could literally go from being the happiest person on earth to the saddest because she randomly thought about something mildly depressing. however, she is also easily excited and could go from sad to happy again in record time. she is horrible at reading the atmosphere and will say whatever pops into her mind.

» | HOW YOU MEET: they first met officially on the set of the drama ion and exo were going to film together. since there were no cameras on her, jinyoung just stuck to being herself as there would really be no point in trying to maintain her stage persona because they were going to be around each other for a very long time and she was bound to slip anyways. unfortunately for junmyeon, he was the first person she spotted, therefore making him the first person she was going to introduce herself to. literally skipping to him, she bowed - her back letting out an embarrassingly loud crack - and said, "hi!!! my name is nam jinyoung. not *whispers* jyp or jyp of got7 or hong jinyoung the trot singer. but i'm really good at singing trot, do you wanna hear!?!?!" bewildered and a tad bit afraid, junmyeon laughed awkwardly and quickly searched for an escape route. luckily, mari noticed jinyoung up to her shenanigans again and called her over before she did anything even more humiliating.

» | HOW YOU ACT AROUND EACH OTHER:
	⇢ BEGINNING - at first, jinyoung didn't really pay much attention to him. he was just the first person whom she introduced herself to and she really didn't think much of it. junmyeon, on the other hand, was extremely uncomfortable around her. to be honest, he was kind of just in shock. he, like everyone else, was expecting a tough, no-nonsense kind of person. he had seen her during a few performances and he never would've guesses that jinyoung was basically the complete opposite of her image onstage.

	⇢ MIDDLE - as filming progressed, junmyeon eventually got used to her weird flip-flopping images and kind of learned to embrace it. before he knew it, he picked up on a lot of her speaking habits and just habits in general. he could tell when he was losing her attention and would know when to wrap up what he had been saying. he is very patient with her and rarely ever gets frustrated. jinyoung, still clueless as to everything he's been doing, treats him no different than she had in the beginning. although she does notice that he's willing to talk to her a lot more than when they first met. she loves to ask him questions, especially about what it's like to handle eight children by himself. she also notes that he's a giant dork and lowkey kind of lame, but for some reason (even though he's SUPER FUCKING EMBARRASSING SOMETIMES) jinyoung thinks he's really cute. and occasionally he can be hot but she doesn't like to talk about it.

	⇢ END - at this point, these two are basically borderline best friends (after each other's members of course). even after the drama wraps up, they still text and call each other all the time. junmyeon is very aware that he has feelings for her, but he knows jinyoung probably is totally oblivious. he doesn't really want to make a move and tells himself that he's very content with the relationship they have now. somewhere in jinyoung's whirlwind of thoughts, she likes him too but she's still got to figure it out.
