The Syndicate - 5: Fun and Danger (dead)

This series is being dumped. I hate the direction it went, but hey, it was my first story, so learn and move on. I have other ideas for this that I think are much better, so at some point I will likely re-write it. I will leave in some of the same characters and story elements, but the situation is going to change completely.
That being said, read on if you want, I probably won't be deleting these chapters, but just know that it won't be finished, and instead will be redone later on.

Chapter 5: Fun and Danger (title subject to change as I go along)
This chapter is not yet finished.
The series is also temporarily being abandoned. I don't like where it was going, and am having much more fun writing Unconventional Magic. I may pick this back up later and re-write it or something, not sure yet.

>You wake up, once again, to the bright morning sun assaulting your vision through the large window in your room
>You're lying on your back, Vinyl Scratch sprawled out on top of you, her head resting on your chest
>Minutes pass by as you take your time waking up and allowing your eyes to adjust to the light
>You move a hand onto her head
>Curiosity getting the better of you, you decide to get a little feel of her horn
>Nothing, unusual... you know, just.. want to know, what it feels like, and all..
>As soon as you run a finger down the length of Vinyl's horn, her eyes shoot open and she lurches back to the foot of the bed
>She quickly movers her head around back and forth, before stopping on you, seeing the dumbfounded look on your face and your hand still in the air where her head just was
>VS:"Di- did you just, touch.. my horn?"
"Umm... sorry?"
>VS:"Man, don't startle me like that, this thing's sensitive you know."
"Hey I said I was sorry, I mean it's not like I knew about that."
>You chuckle at her, then get an idea and sit up-right, giving Vinyl a devious grin and twittling your fingers
"But now that I do know, muahahaha!"
>VS:"Not cool man!" she says, backing away further as she falls backwards off the foot of the bed
>You can't help but bust out into a fit of laughter
>Vinyl pops her head up and glares at you, her horn beginning to glow
>Before you can react she has you back down flat on the bed, your arms spread out and forced down
>You respond by lifting her whole body up into the air and slowling bringing her toward you
>VS:"Wha- hey what the!?"
"Hahaha, silly Vinyl, your magic cannot stop me!"
>She's struggling to get free, horn still glowing, but isn't getting anywhere
>You slowly bring her closer and closer, now hovering her just over yourself
>Her stuggling slowly calms down as her face inches closer to yours
>Vinyl's face has acquired an amazing shade of red, and it's only getting better

>Suddenly, a knock on your bedroom door
>You're both startled, Vinyl's magic and your hold on her dissipating together
>She falls onto you, immediately jumping up and off the bed, heading to the door, as you sit back upright
>Vinyl magics the door open to reveal Rainbow Dash on the other side
>Rainbow giggles "Ha, I knew you were in here!"
>VS:"Hey now don't be gettin' any ideas, we just, uh.. passed out together."
>RD:"Uh huh, suurrre." Rainbow responds with a sheepish grin "Well anyway, Fluttershy and AppleJack are putting together some killer breakfast, so ya better get out here!"
>VS:"Sounds good, we'll be out in a few!" Vinyl says, shutting the door as she turns to you
>Uh-oh
>Vinyl trotts up onto the bed, sitting down on the opposite side of you
"So, uh.. what's up, Vinyl?"
>VS:"What, don't ya wanna finish what we started?" she asks with a sly grin
>You break your gaze with her and think for a moment
"Vinyl, yesterday morning I was going to tell you something..."
>VS:"Hmm, so you were.. well, spit it out already, I'm hungry."
>The smile she just had was gone, and she was having a hard time looking at you
>Seeing that actually seemed to... hurt
>You're beginning to rethink what you were about to say to her
"I was going to tell you that I didn't want to get close, b-"
>She stands up and hops off the bed, heading to the door, but not before you catch her mid-jump
>Vinyl is turned around in mid-air and begins to float toward you, much to her surprise
>VS:"Wha- what, are you.. doing?"
"Finishing what I started." you respond as you continue to bring her closer to you
>Your eyes lock as her face brightens once again
>When your faces are just inches apart, you grin and let her go
>VS:"And you thought I was teasing." she says with a short giggle
>Not wasting any more time, she moves in and presses her lips against yours

>After a few seconds, you both break off the kiss
>It felt wierd for sure, but you could tell she'd been wanting it
>So you mostly did it for her, but you couldn't help but feel something more for her as well in those few seconds
>Vinyl gives you dem bedroom eyes for a moment before turning and hopping off the bed
>VS:"Glad ya changed your mind." she says with a chuckle "Now come on, I'm starved."
>You get up out of bed and follow Vinyl into the kitchen, where the mane6 had been cooking some crazy awesome breakfast
>All of you had the whole day to do basically nothing, so you took your time with breakfast and forced small-talk with everypony for a while
>A couple hours pass and the eight of you finally decide to hit the town
>While walking along a main street and into an open intersection, you all notice a mobile stage setup, where some show is to be starting rather soon
>Twilight recognizes it immediately, mentioning some ridiculous unicorn named Trixie who performs magic shows
>She had told you about her previous encounter, and it interested you enough to want to watch and see what this 'Great and Powerful Trixe' was all about
>Twilight only grimmaced at you, telling you to have fun and that she was going to see her brother instead
>So you and the other six hang out and wait for the show to begin
>Twilight was apparently never impressed with anything Trixie did, but you enjoyed it
>The show was fairly uneventful though, at least you never noticed even a hint of foul play
>Maybe Twilight's previous encounter with her had changed her or something
>Many times throughout the show, Trixie had laid eyes on you for a moment or two, no doubt trying to figure out what the hell you were
>After the show however, she disappeared into her stage-cart and everypony dispersed

>Wandering around a bit more, you end up once again strolling through Canterlot Gardens
>It is here you spot Twilight, speaking with a white unicorn and a pink... alicorn?
>Shit is there a third princess you didnt' know about!?
>Twilight acknowledges you and the rest of the group, eventually introducing the unicorn as her brother Shining Armor, captain of the royal guard, and his wife, the pink alicorn, Princess Cadence
>Yep. Twilight sure had powerful connections here.
>Maybe you could just stay in Canterlot; with three alicorns and the royal guard at your side, the Syndicate wouldn't come near you
>Or so you thought anyway
>The rest of the evening went by with nothing terribly interesting happening, other than an awesome dinner with Cadence and Shining Armor
>That night, everypony passed out in the suite in the same spots
>You sprawled out on your back on the same bed, Vinyl giving you a peck on the cheek before laying beside you and resting her head on your chest
>Sleep doesn't come quite so easy that night, as you're left pondering what you've gone through with Vinyl in your short time in Equestria so far, including what happened that morning
>That day you really started to fell something for Vinyl, but you couldn't help but think it was still all too soon
>Without coming to any real conclusion, you finally succeed in clearing your mind and pass out

>You wake up the next morning, still sprawled out on your back
>Vinyl was lying adjacent to you on her back as well, leaning your direction with her legs resting over you, her head right next to yours
>You move an arm around her and snuggle your head next to hers
>No point in rushing anything this morning
>After all, the real festivites don't begin until after noon, with the Wonderbolts show
>The after party would take place that night after sun-down
>Vinyl was still ecstatic about it, so you'd prefer she get as much rest as possible before-hand
>You just hope everything goes smoothly and you all have an amazing day today
>Then, you can get back to business and figure out what to do about the Syndicate
>Honestly you're surprised they haven't found you yet
>I mean, a human walking around Canterlot for a couple days, you think word would get out rather quickly
>Maybe they're just waiting? Or maybe they are scared to make a move on somebody so close to the Elements and Princesses?
>Who knows. For now, you weren't complaining.
