  1. Jump #359: Kara no Kyoukai
  2. >The Emperor: Worldly authority and power.
  3. >Age: 17
  4. >Location: Mifune City, February 1999
  5. >Identity: Magus (-300)
  6. As though anyone expected otherwise from me.
  7. >Origin: Change (Free)
  8. Well, it actually depends on how you're translating it. At its base it's change, but alteration, metamorphosis, and transition are covered under its aegis as well. All different sorts of change.
  9. >Magic Circuits (x4) (400)
  10. First one's free, and threemore gives me 110 high quality circuits. Helpful, certainly exceptional, but not overpowering. 130, if we count the freebies I got from Tsukihime.
  11. >Resistance (Free, Magus)
  12. Helpful to be able to flush out unpleasant effects from my system with magic.
  13. >Magecraft (Free, Magus)
  14. Well, what good is having magic circuits if I can't use them?
  15. >Magic Crest (0)
  16. A magic crest from a heretofore unknown family? Well, hardly the strangest thing that anyone's seen in this universe. No one needs to know that I've got this - but I'll be studying it in detail.
  17.
  18. February... I missed basically all of the canon plot, so instead I disentangled myself from most of the potential weirdness, and spent the next ten years wandering the world learning magecraft. Sure, my eight clones only have 25% of my power, but that still puts them head and shoulders above the average mage with 30+ magic circuits apiece. My real self was reconciling all that I was learning into a coherent whole, and basically turning what is effectively a half-century of tutoring into a cohesive system.
  19.
  20. It went pretty well, aside from the matter of a few of my mentors coordinating once they found out I was cheating by being in more than one place at a time. But in the end, the fallout from three Clocktower mages going "how are you in more than one place at once?" wasn't as bad as I expected - they basically rolled their eyes and blamed Zelretch.
  21.
  22. Which amused him.
  23.
  24. Because it also got his attention.
  25.
  26. It was at this moment that Crux realized he fucked up.
