You are Ashban, a wizard living in the kingdom of Larion. You have a staff and a spellbook. You finish your long journey and finally arrive at the ruin you've been looking for. You look around and see that it's just as you left it, though now there is a large hole in the ground where the road once was

> You prepare for your ritual.


You stand up from your spot on the floor and begin to chant, while your eyes scan the area. Suddenly, you hear a voice behind you.

"Who are you?"

It's a young man with short brown hair and a beard

> You push the man into the pit.


You turn around and see a young man wearing a hooded cloak standing in front of you. He has a pale face and his eyes seem to be glowing. His hands are covered by black gloves. The boy seems to be surprised by this turn of events

> You push the boy into the pit too.

> You offer the boy's soul to Cthulhu.


You take the boy's soul and place it inside your own. You feel an immense surge of power flow through you and you can sense that the world is about to change forever

> You draw an elder sign into the dirt.


You draw an elder sign into the ground. It begins to grow and spread out like vines and branches. Soon, there are hundreds of them spreading across the earth. They reach all over the countryside and eventually, they cover the entire land. This is the sign that will signal when the time comes

> You summon Cthulhu.


The earth begins to shake and tremble. A massive figure appears before you. It looks like a cross between a giant spider and a human. Its body is covered with thick black fur and its legs are long enough to touch the sky

> You curse because the ritual failed.


You curse at the creature in front of you. It stares back at you silently

> You attempt to banish the creature.


You move towards the creature and try to banish it with a wave of your hand. However, it moves faster than you can react and catches you before you can even complete the gesture

> You try to writhe free.


You move away from the creature and try to escape but it follows you. Eventually, you manage to get away from it and run outside where you find yourself surrounded by trees and bushes. There is nothing left here except a barren wasteland

> You look behind you.


You look behind you and see that the creature has disappeared. You don't know what happened but you're not sure if you'll ever return home again..

> You cut an elder sign into your own chest.


You cut an elder sign into your chest. You bleed profusely and die shortly after. Your death is followed by a great shaking of the earth and the end of the world

> You die and welcome the abyss.
