  1. >You've finally mastered magic, in your own opinion.
  2. >Twilight says there's still much for you to learn, even though you've surpassed her knowledge.
  3. >All those years of dreaming of doing magic as a kid, playing mages in games and stories of fantasy worlds with great wizards crippling the world under their might. Now you're here.
  4. >"Are you Anonymous the human?"
  5. "That's what I tell people."
  6. >"Behold, it is I, the great and powerful Trixie! And Trixie has decided to grace this lame backwater hick town to--"
  7. "Who?"
  8. >She grits her teeth before composing herself to speak up again.
  9. >"W-Wait... You've never heard the awe inspiring takes of Trixie, the most wonderful and splendiferous pony to every grace this land?"
  10. >You pause for a moment and think of how to respond but Trixie is impatient and continues to speak.
  11. >"Hmph," she pouts by snootily throwing her nose to the side, "Very well, Trixie shall educate you. Trixie is the greatest unicorn and pony living in all of Equestria and Trixie has come to this town to prove that once again. Trixie challenges you, Anonymous the Human, to a magical duel."
  12. "No thanks."
  13. >"You cannot refuse Trixie," she stammers while stamping a hoof like a spoilt brat.
  14. "Anonymous the Awesome accepts," you chuckle.
  15. >There you stand with your robe and wizard hat that look exactly like Trixie's, only green.
  16. >A wind blows through you two, kick up both capes to build a little atmosphere before the duel.
  17. >You grin wildly and squint like some six shooter cowboy in a stand-off.
  18. "Ready?"
  19. >"Trixie was born ready to wipe the floor with lesser beings," she proudly beams.
  20. "A little racist but anyway, you first."
  21. >With a smug grin she casts some simple fireworks, all various colours that glitter and gleam as they cascade over each other while falling to the floor.
  22. >Using your magic, you weave all the glittery sparks into the shape of a bird.
  23. >In an instant poof, Trixie vaporises the bird and shapes the ground into a statue of her standing triumphantly above a fallen human.
  24. >You ignore it and make your own monument; taller, bigger and more grand than Trixie can ever match.
  25. >"You can't do that," she protests in anger.
  26. "I just did," you sneer.
  27. >You poke your tongue to provoke her and she does exactly what you'd expect. She takes the bait.
  28. >She fires a magical bolt of awesome magnitude.
  29. >You fire up a shield as she funnels more magic into it.
  30. >The ground around you two shakes and breaks under the raw power as you hold off her attack as best you can. Your arms begin to strain and already you begin to feel fatigued, but you push on.
  31. >You'll not surrender to this arrogance mare, or anyone for that matter for you are Anonymous the Awesome!
  32. >Your own magic bolt fires, unknown to Trixie who is so focused on trying to bust your shield.
  33. >As it whirs towards her, you notice your shield is weakening all of a sudden, a crack has begun to form but just in the knick of time, your bolt collides with Trixie's head. Killing her on impact.
  34. >"NO," Trixie bellows, "You can't just do that. If Trixie is putting her all into this attack, you couldn't suddenly just fire a bolt AND it's a duel, no killing."
  35. >Again you poke your tongue at the mare.
  36. "It's magic, I can do what I want."
  37. >Trixie is positively fuming at you. Her face is brighter than the sun as she tries to fight the strangle you.
  38. >"You stupid little brat, magic can't do anything. There are rules to it like anything else. This is why Trixie hates playing pretend with you."
  39. "You're just mad you died," you jeer.
  40. >As you arrogantly walk away, proud of your victory, Trixie weighs the options of how easily it'd be to hide the body.
  41. >"It ain't worth it," Twilight, who seemingly appeared out of nowhere, states.
  42. >"He does this to you too?"
  43. >She nods.
  44. >"He's a kid, let it go."
  45. >With an exasperated sigh, Trixie does as Twilight says.
  46. >"Trixie won that duel," she tells herself.
  47. >"Yeah, sure you did," Twilight jeers.
