  1. First off, when have you EVER seen an SCp with a title instead of a number? READ, thank you!
  2.
  3. Item: SCP 688
  4.
  5. // Small thing, but Hyphen.//
  6.
  7. Object Class: Euclid
  8.
  9. Special Containment Procedures: SCP-688 is to be in a ten foot by ten foot room. With SCP-688-1 in the middle of the room, and SCP-688-2 and 3 are to be pressed against the walls, facing the same direction as SCP-688-1.
  10.
  11. … Metric. Not so bad, Amuricans are used to Imperial. But… are we on a dungeon crawl? Do I need to cast magic missile at the darkness? Also, I think you wanted that to be all one sentence
  12.
  13. No cleaning is necessary unless an experiment has failed and subject has been eliminated. No interaction with SCP-688 are to be made with under level 3 personnel.
  14.
  15. So, the only people who are allowed to interact with this dangerous device are important people?'Cause it's not like we have this whole Class of Disposable peoples to use…
  16.
  17. Description: SCP-688-1 is a large statue that composes of multiple figures.
  18.
  19. is composed of. Proofreaders are your friend! Hell even I ritually abuse make use of Troy to -rewrite everything to be less retarded— point out my mistakes.
  20.
  21. SCP-688-1 is made entirely of ebony, but seems to emit a white light, it is advised not to break into the center of SCP-688-1 due to how strong the light would be.
  22.
  23. Wait, what?Where doe it emit this light from? How do we know breaking it would make the light brighter, ahev we tried? How do we know there isn't just a maglite inside?
  24.
  25. The center figure on SCP-688-1 is also the largest, and seems to be a face with it’s mouth wider than a human should be able to, which seems to be in the middle of an angry scream, and a happy yell.
  26.
  27. …I get the feeling you may not be a native english speaker. This is okay. Not all of us are. That said, again, proofread. Because your words make little sense. Keep in midn, it's a statue, so a wider mouth then humanly possible isn't really unusual. Measurements probably would have helped.
  28.
  29. SCP-688-1 is capable of speech, but it is unadvised to engage in a conversation of a certain subject, such as [DATA EXPUNGED].
  30.
  31. //THIS TELLS US NOTHING! Expungement should be used to HEIGHTEN suspense, not just tossed in with no context. //
  32.
  33. SCP-688 contains multiple other figures, which appear as people, ten of these will be on one side of the large figure, and ten on the other.
  34.
  35. When will they be there? If they actually are there, say they ARE there. Gods, this reminds me of a pet peeve in roleplaying I keep seeing. People who post their character 'would' do something. "Jacob would walk into the room, and would sit in the chair. He would look over at the girl across from him, and would call her a crack ass whitey" Don't say what something will or would be, say what they f'ing are!
  36.
  37. Each small figure is different but it has been proved that it is the same figures on both sides, but they are performing opposite tasks.
  38.
  39. So… bloody…awkward. "The figures on each side are symetrical in appearence, although their actions are reversed." So how much better that flows?
  40.
  41. Such as one figure on the right seems to be handing another figure a ring, as if proposing. While the other is holding a knife over the other figures head.
  42.
  43. …How is this reverse? The oppisite of marriage is death?
  44.
  45. The effect of discussing an object with SCP-688-1 95% of the time results with the subject having the opposite view as before. So if the subject starts talking about [DATA EXPUNGED] then the conversation will end with the subject in a state of depression.
  46.
  47. THERE IS NO POINT TO THIS EXPUNGEMENT! Why would they want to remove that information?
  48.
  49. SCP-688-2 is a smaller ebony statue than SCP-688-1, but glows with an orange light. It is to the right side of SCP-688-1. SCP-688-2 shows a large figure of a head like SCP-688-1, but it shows just a happy yell. SCP-688-2 is also capable of speech, and if engaged in conversation, subject will come out with a positive look on what was discussed. It has also been shown to be able to lift someone out of a state of depression. There is an exception when the subject has gotten the depression from SCP-688-1 and SCP-688-3.
  50. SCP-688-3 is an ebony statue to the left of SCP-688-1. It emit’s a blue light, and has opposite effects than SCP-688-2. So if someone starts talking about how well known and liked they are with the statue, then they will leave with a sense of paranoia and depression.
  51.
  52. I really don't get this. Are the statues attahed to each other? 'Cause, if they're not, why would you state their orientation? Ugh! This is just… y'know that scene in scanners, where the guys head explodes? You're just lucky I have my explode proof helmet on.
  53.
  54. Note: None of the subjects that are introduced to SCP-688 1-3 will remember what the statues look like, so they are required to write down what they look like. When they leave the room they can only describe the statues as “The faces of madness.”
  55.
  56. Oh no! the FACES OF MADNESS! How sacary! Yer trying to force the horror, you need to let it flow gently. Final analysis… Don't rewrite, please.
