empathetic: if you're having a bad day and call yerim a friend, it's very likely that she'll notice even if you're trying to be discreet. she's sensitive to the feelings of others--probably the most likely to cry during sad songs and movies--and while she might not share your feelings, yerim seems to have a natural ability when it comes to understanding.

forgetful: while yerim can pick up lyrics and choreography quickly, she's the worse at misplacing her belongings. this tends to make her late a lot, and she often curses in the middle of the day--seemingly for no reason--when she realizes she forgot something (usually her earbuds or gym lock)

restless: yerim hates not having anything to do, and will just go for a drive or exercise while watching tv just so she's not sitting still.

extrovert: she loves to be around people, very outgoing and often stands out of the crowd with her loud voice; very much a chatterbox. when things are getting dreary, or awkward, yerim is usually the one to fill the silence or lighten the mood.

impulsive: being unpredictable, and acting on a whim is what a few find charming about his character. that being said, yerim has random bursts of sudden anger and purchases one too many uneeded items online every once in a while. while she rarely means anything by it, an unfiltered remark or two can slip past her mouth that can easily be taken the wrong way. once people express their displeasure with her words, yerim is quickly regretful and apologizes--usually with an apple in hand if possible (because she honestly lives for lame puns). yerim doesn't like to put a lot of thought into her actions as she finds them less sincere and more calculated that way.

humble: yerim downplays her abilities a lot, and while it's a desirable trait, it was nurtured from a lack of self worth. some might find this trait of hers ironic, especially after watching yerim compliment herself repeatidely--because surely she has to be vain--when the reality is that it's a habit she gained from working on hes self-esteem issues.

- unlike her younger siblings, yerim was never close with their grandparents, most likely due to the fact that she'd actually only lived with them in daegu for two years before moving to school to pursue an idol career.

- as the oldest, yerim gets a kick out of teasing her younger siblings but as most older siblings do, she really does love them and makes sure to check in on them every once in a while in the form of treating them out to lunch or dinner.

✕ BACKGROUND → a year or so before she was born, yerim's parents moved to vancouver, canada for work. a normal household and social life for the most part, the only major shake up in her peaceful life was when she was twelve. after her parents got into some financial troubles, the children of the kim family moved back to south korea to live with their grandparents in daegu. adjusting was a bit hard at first, but the social butterfly she was, yerim was quickly accepted into a friend group of girls her age who aspired to be idols like SNSD.

in all, for yerim, trainee life wasn't that stressful. as a child and young teen, her time outside of schooling was spent doing sports and various activities (musical theatre being a prime one) so when she became a trainee, the busy lifestyle suited her well. at first, yerim had been ansty when her family first moved to seoul, finding that she had a lot of free time on her hands so when the casting agent asked if she was interested, she decided it couldn't hurt to try. five years of training worked, because eventually, yerim debuted with aphrodite. a year into debut, yerim was under criticism for 'bullying' her groupmates (some out of context video of her 'yelling' at one of the younger members and lightly pushing her), but it eventually blew over once it was revealed by said member that yerim was just teasing by being mock angry with her for cracking her phone.
