  1. When Link and Zelda had approached King Dorephan about Vah Ruta's unresponsive behavior, the king and Sidon had insisted on finally boarding the Divine Beast themselves. Link had expected Mipha's ghost to have passed on with her task finally complete, he and Zelda had braced themselves for the tears that were bound to come. They hadn’t expected to find Mipha's smiling spirit waiting for them. With her spirit fading, she had relinquished her hold on Vah Ruta so that she might condense her existence a while longer, just in time for Link and Zelda to notice and arrive. Which led to a different sort of tears as the five of them were finally reunited. Which had led to an entire day’s worth of jubilation onboard Vah Ruta. Which led to a new celebration for Zora's Domain. Which led to a rather awkward conversation with Zelda over what Link was doing with engagement armor made by the late champion. Zelda hadn't been upset though, she hadn't felt betrayed or jealous like Link had feared she would. She had nothing but kind words to say. Now the two of them were sitting on Vah Naobris's right shoulder, it had been almost a week since they'd left Zora's Domain, and Link felt Zelda was finally owed a proper explanation. No matter how much he wanted to though, he couldn't muster the words. Every time he wanted to bring it up a maw opened up in his chest and swallowed his guts, and for nearly a week he hadn't been able to mentioned it.
  2. Link looked down at Zelda scrolling through the sheikah slate's map and felt that same anxiety pull his innards out of his body. She was laying down along his legs with her head resting on his chest, the Master Sword lying next to both of them. A sleeping rug with a few pillows had been brought for their stay on Vah Naboris. His arms were supporting their weight so she could be more comfortable, but Link had to fight the urge to stand up and walk his nervousness off. Riju's conversation with Urbosa's spirit was a murmur in the background and so he was stuck looking off into the distance while Zelda absorbed herself with the icons of the shrines long the map. As much as he wanted to break the silence, the hole Link's chest had swallowed every word of the apologetic speech he'd prepared. At once, he saw a familiar shining green tendril rise out of the horizon as Farosh finally broke the waters of Floria Falls to take on his nightly patrol. Link watched as it lazily worked its way through the distance. Something was different though, every time the dragon shifted its head turned to look his way until its body forced the spirit to turn aside. Slowly the anxiety that paralyzed Link abated and, as he looked down at his princess, the desire to make amends finally overcame him. The speech he had carefully crafted over the past few days flowed back into him as Farosh's support filled him.
  3. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Mipha's armor before," he blurted. Zelda's finger paused on the slate at the sudden break in the stillness.
  4. "What?" The princess stared at Link. When she saw the uncertainty stretched across his face she adjusted herself so she could look at him without craning her neck backwards. Her puzzlement was clear and Link had a hard time looking her in the eye.
  5. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Mipha’s armor before, I wasn't trying to hide it." He glanced off towards Farosh. The spirit's path had evened out and now he was certain it was looking his way as its body drifted out sideways. Nervousness fled his body as Link looked back at Zelda. "It's not that I didn't want you to know. I didn't know Mipha's spirit was going to be there, it's...not something I wanted to bring up."
  6. Zelda's slight smile drooped "I know, it's okay, Link-"
  7. "No, you've been so kind, Zelda, I should have told you," Link couldn't look away from her now. The smile had faded but her face still held his gaze. The deku tree had been right about that smile. Ever since he'd brought her back to Kakariko he'd done everything in his power to keep it on her face. It was her gaze that wavered from his eyes. Her head dropped a bit. A small pause extended between them and Link had to look towards the dragon again before continuing. It had completely stopped its wandering and its gaze was fixed directly on him, urging him onward.
  8. "I knew she liked me, I didn't know how much. I didn't learn until Sidon and Dorephan told me and I didn't even remember Mipha then,” Link was stuttering, trying to mitigate the hurt his confession was dealing, “I have a lot of memories of her back but, I can still remember not knowing who she was, it's not-"
  9. "Did you love her too?" Zelda's question was quiet but it was enough to crack even Farosh's support. He held her chin with his thumb and index finger and pulled her gaze back to him.
  10. "I loved all of you," Link said right into her eyes, "you were my friends. Even if I didn't show it. Daruk, Mipha, Urbosa, Revali, I knew I could rely on them. Their being around made me less afraid to fight Ganon." Link's words weren't helping, Zelda's shoulders sagged and her eyes still flickered away from his.
  11. "But you, I knew I could trust you," Zelda's surprised glance upward drove him to continue, if only to repair the harm he'd dealt, "no matter how much you struggled, you kept going, you kept trying. Even without anyone supporting you, you never gave up, and every time we went to a spring, and every time nothing came of it, my belief in you only got stronger. I knew you could use your power, I never doubted it. Even after Ganon appeared." Link focused on Zelda’s eyes as the quietness fell back upon them. She was leaning into the leg he'd brought up to support her back with her hands wrung together in her lap. Farosh was a green squiggle behind her, out of focus. The heat in Link’s chest evened out into a palpable finality that drove him to finish.
  12. "That's why I loved you, more than anyone else," Link managed, "that's why I still do." Zelda blinked at that, her face reddened slightly and looked down for a moment, but not sullenly.
  13.
  14. Farosh finally started climbing into the sky, but even at the distance Link could see its front two feet curl into a distinct thumbs-up sign. With its departure Link’s heart dropped back out of his chest and he shifted himself without looking at Zelda. He cleared his throat as he brought his legs back to stand up and the fire in his chest shifted to his face. He was about to move when Zelda pulled him forward and pressed her lips against his. Link froze as Zelda moved closer and held his head in her hands. He wrapped his arms around her and leaned forward. He started to kiss back, parting her lips so he could slip his tongue inside. She let out a slight moan as his hands ran along her body and through her hair. Zelda moved her own to grip Link’s tunic as she broke the kiss. She looked into Link’s eyes with urgency, panting slightly, unwilling to pause what she’d started. Link fumbled his bandolier off and piled it on top of the Master Sword, then slid off his vambrace and gloves. His tunic came over his head as Zelda removed her own belt, only to stop after she had loosened her shirt. She looked at Link hesitantly as he laid her down to kiss her again.
  15. “Wait, Link I don’t…” she pushed him back a little but kept her hands pressed against his undershirt, “I don’t know…how.” Redness crept back onto her face while Link paused above her.
  16. “uh oh”
  17. She looked at him incredulously, “No, you’re kidding me”
  18. “I guess I forgot”
  19. Zelda gaped at him, at the small smile Link wasn’t able to fight down, only to gasp and shoot upright fast enough to dislodge him as Urbosa’s distinct laughter echoed out from Naboris’s belly. She scrambled to pull her belt back on while rebuttoning her collar and shoving Link’s tunic back at him as the grinning, glowing form of the deceased Champion stepped through the port. She looked down at the two as Zelda cleared her throat and tried to straighten her hair while failing to look nonchalant.
  20. “It’s about time” the spirit said, which only made Zelda blush harder and Link switch his gaze between the two of them.
  21. “Urbosa! I thought you were speaking with Lady Riju,” Zelda said, somehow without stuttering.
  22. “The dear leader has retired for the night with an emphatic promise to stop by again in the morning” Urbosa was staring flatly at the princess, hands akimbo, smile incessant.
  23. “Oh, yes, it is getting dark, m-maybe we should turn in too, Link?” Zelda tried to stand up only for Urbosa’s laughter to interrupt her while Link held her hand downward, keeping her from rising and breaking his grip.
  24. “Oh no, princess, this had been a LONG time coming, please, don’t let me interrupt you two” the late champion drifted away down Naboris’s shoulder and disappeared. After a short pause, Link leaned Zelda back flat again onto the rug. He kissed her again, running his left hand down her side while his right hand held hers. The electricity built up again and Zelda let her belt drop off, she moaned quietly under Link’s gentle ministration.
  25. “Spread your legs a bit more,” the Gerudo champion interjected.
  26. Zelda shot up again and shoved Link back, “Ur-BO-sa, go awa-mmph!” Link grabbed her hands in his and silenced her by pressing his lips back into hers. He kept her upright until the tension bled out of her, and laid her down for a third time. When he broke the kiss, she was red in the face but quiet and staring right at him. He smiled at her until Zelda’s eyes flickered to Urbosa’s reappeared form, which was sitting on the port leading into the construct’s belly.
  27. “If you’d like some…help, what kind of friend would I be if I said no?” Urbosa was jovial, but her continued presence showed her offer’s seriousness. Zelda looked at the floor and then back at Link, who hadn’t looked away.
  28. “O-okay.” Urbosa whooped and clapped her hands once, sauntering over to the two of them. Link pulled his undershirt off and Zelda finished slipping off her own shirt. With the two of them bared at the chest Urbosa grinned at the century-old adolescents.
  29. “Get your boots off.” Urbosa’s command was obeyed, Link sliding off Zelda’s before yanking his own from his feet. The footwear was dropped to the side as the Gerudo Champion gently pushed Zelda onto her back. Then she reached over and moved Link by the hips until he was situated between the princess’s legs. Zelda’s modesty flared up again and she was about to speak when Link had his head shoved towards hers. He kept her quiet with another kiss as Urbosa placed his hands beneath Zelda’s shoulders. To support his weight, she whispered in his ear. The two lovers separated again as their instructor pulled Link back gently.
  30. “There’s more too her body than lips, swordsman,” Urbosa took his left hand and dropped it on Zelda’s breast. The princess’s blush hadn’t faded since she had submitted to the lesson but now her color somehow deepened. Link squeezed slightly and rubbed her nipple between two fingers and she let out a soft squeak at the unfamiliar sensation. Her sensitivity only encouraged her champion as Link applied more pressure. Urbosa smoothed Zelda’s hair back as she moaned against Link. He pulled the hairclips away and undid her braid. Urbosa traced her fingers along Zelda’s neck and Link followed, planting kisses while returning to knead her breasts. Zelda finally moaned, pulling Link’s head down and running her fingers through his hair. He ran his lips along her collar bone and downwards until he licked her nipple tentatively. A sharp gasp encouraged him and he took one into his mouth fully. Urbosa’s warm chuckle couldn’t interrupt him, even as she interrupted
  31. “Now, what have you forgotten?” Without missing a beat Link pulled his trousers down, his blue boxers grown tight from his errant bloodflow. He reached over and wrapped the two of them in the sleeping rug they’d been laying on. His hands gripped Zelda’s hips as he looked at her. A pleading had filled her eyes, the silent request was fulfilled as Link pulled her leggings off. There wasn’t anything underneath but for a wet spot on the garments. After almost tearing off his underwear off he repositioned himself as Urbosa had demonstrated. Now fully extended, his tip rubbed against Zelda’s thigh as he hovered, unwilling to go farther without her consent. Her hands came up along his sides and wrapped around his back as the late champion told her to spread a bit further apart to where Link needed to go. She nodded as her hand reached down and found him, guiding him forward. Link let her pull him until he felt wet contact and she froze. He pushed himself inside slightly, Zelda’s sharp intake made him pause.
  32. Urbosa whispered, “It’ll hurt for just a moment, but just keep moving your hips,” the champion’s tentative grip on Link faded. The plack-plack-plack of her heels marked her departure as Link waited for Zelda to respond. She pulled on his hair slightly until she could bring her eyes back up to his.
  33. “P-please, Link” all dignity was lost in her plead. Link kept his gaze deliberately on hers as he parted her. Her back arched at the foreign and anticipated presence, but he kept his gaze fixated until he met resistance. She whimpered in need as he dropped his forehead to meet hers. He built up pressure until she broke and he drove in unhindered. Zelda’s sharp cry almost stopped him but Urbosa’s previous encouragement let him slide forward, his eyes never leaving hers even while she writhed in his grasp. He pulled back slightly, his hips acting independently now, and slid forwards again, and back, and forwards and back again. Zelda gasped at every gentle thrust, Link watching her writhe in ecstasy, never letting his eyes drift while Zelda’s widened and flashed at the pace she was entered. Link was enraptured at the moment. He felt her grip on his shoulders and squeezing his manhood, her legs were squeezed around his hips. He moved in and out and every time he split Zelda he was rewarded with a gasp. She was tight around him as he ground into her. His hand moved back to fondle her nipple while Zelda whimpered at the attention. He pulled back until only his tip remained enclosed and leaned forward to kiss Zelda. His tongue slipped inside and tasted her as he groaned in restraint. Her grip on him tightened as he slid his way back inside her, pushing himself in until their hips met. Zelda cried out again as he filled her while he shuddered at his length’s full enclosure. Link pulled out and pushed in, sinking himself into his best friend until their bodies met again, and again. His kiss became more urgent as Zelda grew tighter until she her backed arched again. Her cry became louder until the vice on Link’s manhood became unbearable. Zelda screamed as she came for the first time, Link pulling himself out and into her orgasm. She panted as he stimulated her continuously, her fingernails digging into his back as her legs wrapped around him tighter. His pants started to grow strained as he resisted himself. Zelda was limp in his hands, her chest heaving as his pace slowed. She looked at him incredulously, commanding him not to cease his movements.
  34. “Zelda, I-I’m” he tried to pull out, only for her legs to lock against his sides with sudden strength. His gaze was met with a steadfast order as he tried to halt. He failed and slid back into her, a shudder passing through himself as restraint left him. His thrusts became urgent and Zelda’s head was thrown back again as he pistoned. The sight of her blurred has he tipped past his own orgasm. He resisted as he built up only to sag into his lover as he released himself. Link discharged into Zelda as she squeezed him tighter in every way. His warm seed emptied into Zelda’s welcoming body, the feeling of release draining Link while being filled left Zelda incoherent. Their panting synchronized as their languor left then entwined. Link withdrew as Zelda pulled his head into her neck and exhaled along his scalp.
  35. The night’s chill interrupted them after a short while, a conjoined shiver rousing them to move from the exposed observatory. Link dressed himself hastily, his military upbringing resurfacing for a moment. Zelda decided to simply wrap the sleeping rug around her naked form. Link hoisted her in his arms and brought her through the entrance port. The night breeze dissipated and he laid her down along a flat, wide platform, keeping her covered, while he retrieved his sword and the pillows. As he stepped through the doorway again, Urbosa’s spirit had reappeared sitting on a platform edge with a warm smile. Link stared at her for a minute, his gratitude overshadowing his vocabulary. Instead he just nodded at her and walked back to where he’d left the princess. Link propped Zelda up on pillows while he pulled his tunic back off but once he laid down again she buried her face in his collar and made him wrap his arms around her. He shifted to make her more comfortable but soon her breathing evened out and grew steady.
  36. “I love you too” she breathed across his chest. Link’s smile threatened to break his skin. He let his hand run up and down Zelda’s skin until sleep sapped his body and his eyes drooped. She’d be there when he woke up, for once Link didn’t go to sleep fearing otherwise. The interior of Naboris kept them cool enough to ease sleep upon them heavily until Riju’s approaching voice the next morning jerked them from their slumber.
