  1.
  2. [21:29:10] Between angry shouting and the like, misery and agony displayed from the leaving of people that she found to be 'important' in the end of the day... It was a problem, to be quite frank. So her eyes did wander the area there as she sought out anyone that might've been bathed in the green blessing of rieka, and her arms now crossed tighter over her chest. Anyone that displayed this trait... had to be taken in, and they would convert. Or she'd lock them away forever. She'd make it so that they'd never see the light of day to spread anything about Azrael ever again. It was an enormous weight to put on a child's shoulders but...
  3.
  4. It was necessary. To provide the stabilization of Frostvale and of Ryujin, but it got boring watching after a while. Why was it that people stood as statues within Frostvale anyways? It made her mad. They were people, not made to stand around like this, so...
  5.
  6. Stepping forward, she'd reach out to take a hold of the shoulder of Arcelia sitting there, looking down toward the other girl.
  7.
  8. "...Celia," she mumbled quietly, a tired look to her eye. "Can we like... go on an adventure or something?" Yeah! Because that's what they totally needed. Something better than that.
  9.
  10. After all, tomorrow things were going to backlash due to her need to set Branka straight down the path of Ryujin. Oh boy.
  11. (Brienne Whitefall)
  12. [21:37:42] Arcelia herself was riddled with anxiety over just who won the war between Nostvale and New Alteros, as there was no public mention of it and she was never truly made aware by any other means. She had no idea what happened earlier prior, either, so there was nothing distracting her from this. At least until Brienne arrived, that is! Having her shoulder grabbed snapped her out of the trance she was in, and when asked if she wanted to go on an adventure...?
  13.
  14. Arcelia was actually clueless of her options but still welcoming of the idea.
  15.
  16. "Sure!"
  17.
  18. They both needed something fun to do, and something to distract themselves from the background bullshit that was going on in their lives.
  19.
  20. "Come with me, I'll find us something to do!"
  21.
  22. Her cheeriness was just an act, but it wasn't necessarily a bad one.
  23. (Arcelia Hirano)
  24. [21:45:23] A body ached, with motions taken and shifting to extend into that of a massive dragon creature was enough to cause anyone some bodily agony. There was no telling when it would come again, and there was no control over what it was. This was just something that she was going to have to accept, she figured. Doomed to a life of shifting and ripping up the earth simply just to tear it asunder underneath of claws almost too massive for someone to hold onto. It just... shouldn't have been possible for her, but there she had been... and there she had used it to chase Ventus right out of the city.
  25.
  26. She'd do it again, and again, and again... To prove the point she had formulated, she would give no less. Reaching outward, she'd grab a hold of the other girl's hand there as she ran along out of the city with her... and right to a yokai infested area there.
  27.
  28. It roiled, a need to get rid of them deep within the very pit of her stomach there.
  29.
  30. Grinding her heels into the ground there, she'd turn, looking at Arcelia now with a serious look plastered on her features.
  31.
  32. "I'm going to kill Ventus."
  33.
  34. ...Wooooah girl. Woah.
  35.
  36. A roll of her shoulders came as she lifted one of her hands upwards, showing the draconic claw that had formed there, nails sharpened to heavy degrees as she stared on.
  37.
  38. "Are you going to stop me, Celia?"
  39. (Brienne Whitefall)
  40. [21:49:39] The smile on Arcelia's face dropped halfway through the journey to their destination, and that was merely reinforced by Brienne's serious expression and serious statement. The idea of killing Ventus gave her pause. It shocked her. She was confused. She couldn't articulate a proper response right away, but eventually she did.
  41.
  42. "Uhhh..."
  43.
  44. No, not that.
  45.
  46. "Depends... what did he do?"
  47.
  48. If he fucked up badly enough, Arcelia would totally get on board with the idea. But it was more likely than not that Arcelia wouldn't approve of what Brienne wanted to do, best friend or no.
  49. (Arcelia Hirano)
  50. [21:59:02] "Have you ever been so deeply embarrassed by your own kind that it makes you sick to your stomach to even want to deal with?" A crouch came there as she let her fingers touch along the earth, and a few spikes of the earth there came upwards, fingers clenching just so as she forced that fist of hers outwards, suddenly skewering right through a lesser yokai that seemed to be lingering just a little bit too close. "It's not a secret that Drakanites all look bad because of the select few that don't take any kind of action, Arcelia." She'd look over her shoulder there and now as she stood back up. She stood that much taller than the other girl, a stark five feet and five inches, likely from the blood that moved through her veins. Hmmm...
  51.
  52. "Ventus is a Drakanite. One that defends Azrael, a god who would rather watch us all be enslaved to his whims, to bring us back in 'his' image of perfection." She seemed to have studied this so called god in her time with her tutors. She wasn't going to be the one who ended up left behind and clueless. She wouldn't allow it.
  53.
  54. "Frostvale sided with Nostvale to keep it safe, to make sure that it was a land that could eventually be brought back. And yet, he thought it was okay for him to defend something-- a monster that ate ALL of Tilandre-- to go unchecked so that we could go to war with Nostvale. He defended Oscuri kind saying that we don't know that they're all alike."
  55.
  56. And her gaze dipped down.
  57.
  58. "But he doesn't get it, Oscuri are hardwired to think about Azrael above all else. Oscuri are not Drakanites, prone to being weak and disgusting displays of what power we should embody. He is lesser, he is weak. And him siding with Oscuri and the people that will sacrifice us... means that I will cull whatever traitor Drakanites there are to ensure that those that stand tall will remain tall."
  59. (Brienne Whitefall)
  60. [22:10:59] Oh damn, she was serious. And... Ventus did in fact fuck up. She was honestly expecting it to be something petty, but Arcelia held a hatred for Oscuri deep within her heart as well, no doubt influenced by Brienne, but also due to the fact that they were a strong factor in ruining her life. Well... her life could hardly be called ruined anymore, but that's beside the point. After Brienne's rant, words once more failed to come to Arcelia's mind, and she could only say one word:
  61.
  62. "Oh."
  63.
  64. Arcelia remained silent for a few moments, thinking of just what she could actually say. Eventually, she managed to come up with some-... no, she couldn't even think of anything to say after a rather long period of time. In Arcelia's mind, Brienne was right, and despite sharing a depressing number of qualities with Ventus, this is just one thing she couldn't forgive him for. The situation wasn't one where Arcelia could give a cryptic and serious response, so she reverted to a coarse, informal tone.
  65.
  66. "He fucked up."
  67.
  68. He really did.
  69.
  70. "I don't think you're wrong. As a matter of fact..."
  71.
  72. "I might try to bring him to you."
  73.
  74. Arcelia wasn't filled with the righteous fury that Brienne was, but if things were as she said, he really touched a nerve in her, and he absolutely wasn't going to get out of this unharmed.
  75. (Arcelia Hirano)
  76. [22:23:47] A righteous fury, perhaps-- maybe even a definite... There were things that had to be done, and even if she liked people and wanted to be their friends? She wasn't going to sit back and be the person who easily accepted it. No, she was not that kind of Drakanite that was going to sit down and be complacent. She was going to shake the world, she was going to move it. Anyone that told her otherwise might've found themselves wiped out before they even had a chance to tell her no. Her gaze moved over toward Arcelia there, slitted eyes showing a bit as she slowly nodded her head in the direction of the other girl. Oh was right. It was absolutely right. If Ventus did not turn over any and all Oscuri to her, he'd be used to lure them out.
  77.
  78. The days of merciful Drakanite were wearing thin.
  79.
  80. "Bring him to me, then. Just don't be upset if I get to him first. Because I'll be watching, and I'll be waiting. I'm tired of these half-assed Drakanites thinking that they know what Ryujin is about. He wouldn't condone letting someone sitting around with rieka inside of them, a compulsive killing machine of Azrael, no less..." Smoke clung to her words, as if she burned with the very anger she felt.
  81.
  82. "He'll lie, say he's doin the right thing, that this is what Ryujin wants." A bitter laugh now.
  83.
  84. "But when you go down to our roots, none of us know what Ryujin wants because we're all too stupid to sit down and try to realize it. But I know what Eternia wants, and it does not want to be enslaved by Azrael's return. And I will do everything I can to keep it from happening."
  85. (Brienne Whitefall)
  86. [22:50:14] "Believe me, Brienne."
  87.
  88. Arcelia's expression changed from baffled to bitter, and from bitter to... perhaps even hostile? Not towards Brienne, just in general. This kind of thing was an incredibly sore subject to hr, and she absolutely hated hearing what people thought the world wanted, because people claiming to know such things...
  89.
  90. Well, it'd be redundant to repeat the amount of things that have ruined her life.
  91.
  92. "I know better than to believe anyone who tells me what their god wants."
  93.
  94. There was no laugh, just raw bitterness.
  95.
  96. "I'm glad we're on the same page about this. It just sucks that friends can be so stupid. We need to stick together. But then people do stupid shit like that."
  97.
  98. She valued allies.
  99.
  100. But not stupid ones.
  101. (Arcelia Hirano)
  102. [23:17:32] Believe, believe. Yes, Arcelia's life had been irrevocably damaged in the end, and she couldn't fix that. But the only thing that they could've done at this point was step forward, keep going, and make sure that they would have never seen the dark side of this life ever again. Though, she'd turn her attention over toward the other girl, and a slow breath left her lips. There was no point to a religion, was there? It just guided people into chaos and dark times. Between the Republic's need for Kraus, Danarium's senseless slaughter in the name of the Urayan Gods, New Alteros and their suckling at Azrael's teet, and even Nostvale's need to grasp and hold tight to Belial's embrace... From behind her, she felt her wings extend outwards there as she let out but a slow, drawling breath.
  103.
  104. It would be stopped. They would stop it.
  105.
  106. "Then let's stop doing what the Gods want..."
  107.
  108. Huh?
  109.
  110. "...And do what we want. We're our own people, right? They gave us free will for a reason. They..." A clench of her teeth.
  111.
  112. "They want us to write our own story, and that's what I'm going to do. I am going to write my own story, and I'm not going to be a weak Drakanite along the way like all the others have been, bending over backwards for people like Danarium or humanity as a whole." No, no... Her head dipped a small bit, long strands of hair falling over her shoulders as she watched the ground.
  113.
  114. "They're going to bend for me."
  115. (Brienne Whitefall)
  116. [23:34:36] Arcelia liked this side of Brienne. Ever since she recovered from that nasty head injury, Brienne had become the kind of person that Arcelia could really get behind, or more accurately, stand aside. Arcelia didn't want to stand behind much of anything, really, and wanted to see herself as being on the same level as anyone she happened to work with.
  117.
  118. "Then let's do it."
  119.
  120. "We're this strong as kids. We can make the world ours if we keep going on the path we are now. We just need to..."
  121.
  122. A gaze behind her, in the direction of Frostvale.
  123.
  124. "...maybe expand our horizons a bit. We need to do mroe dangerous things. Because as of now, we just... don't? I guess visiting Kudana was kinda dangerous but I need to do stuff like that every day."
  125.
  126. "I just need ideas."
  127.
  128. Shadowy flames surrounded her body, as she was filled with a newfound resolve. This kind of thing seemed to happen every time Arcelia talked to Brienne for an extended period of time.
  129.
  130. "I can be the sword, you can be the shield. Or something."
  131. (Arcelia Hirano)
  132. [23:52:32] They were immensely strong children, that was nothing that could've ever been denied of them. They stood above a majority of other people their age, and that was nothing that could've been ripped free from them. She'd continue being as strong as she possibly could have. She'd continue flaunting the might that had been bestowed upon her by her bloodline, and above all else... She'd continue showing these idiots just what a Drakanite should have embodied. Letting her gaze flicker back to Frostvale, she pushed her lips out just so in a small pout. "Frostvale's already mine. I get to sit in on important meetings now and everything since I'm older." She gave a single shouldered shrug there in response. It was true. She was allowed to do what she wanted, and she'd make sure that Ace did not make any more idiotic decisions.
  133.
  134. "Ideas?" She inquired there as she looked at Arcelia for a moment in her silence.
  135.
  136. "...Then let's extend to Danarium and talk to Queen Daphne, yeah? It shouldn't be too hard. War is something that needs to happen to get back Nostvale, and she's been asleep this entire time." Grrr...
  137. (Brienne Whitefall)
  138. [23:59:21] Iraxus was mad that he didn't get to fight. The burning rage of not being able to get into the war made the kaor angry. He had hoped to fight someone but no he had to fend off the other meaningless pest. He raged through Wychwood killing all the lessers with a swipe of his hand. The fire burning deep inside calling him to calm down but his rage would not allow this. As he drew more closer he heard voices.
  139.
  140. "Hmm who could ber here? This my forest and yet more people lurk around here. I guess i will have to show them what this is about." he says with a evil grin. As he headed forward something told him to stay away. He could careless as this would be even more fun now. As he drew more he saw some little girls. They seem to be alone and one seem to be a drakanite.
  141.
  142. "A human and a drakanite here? You must be brave being out here alone. Tell me what does your fate say now?" he says appearing before them. The yokai huge figure standing tall over the two as he looks down on them. Though he showed more evil now than ever. Killing kids were not part of his plan but he wanted to see what would drive the brats from home to here.
  143. (Iraxus)
  144.
  145. [00:04:28] The idea of talking to the queen of Danarium wasn't an idea she particularly liked still, but it in all honesty, it was probably needed. In order to get Nostvale back... Well, yeah. She'd certainly have to swallow her pride, and ignore what happened to her father, but if it meant getting her city back...
  146.
  147. "Yeah, let's talk to her."
  148.
  149. It was worth it.
  150. ...
  151.
  152. And then the Yokai showed up. Arcelia shot it a death glare, even though she wasn't too great at being imposing.
  153.
  154. "Our fate says that you need to leave if you don't want to get your ass handed to you. We don't like your kind around here. Or anywhere, really."
  155.
  156. Brienne probably had harsher words for him than Arcelia did.
  157. (Arcelia Hirano)
  158. [00:11:18] Slitted eyes only grew smaller in size as she slowly reeled her head back at the sudden approach. Though, there'd be a sudden baring of teeth. Thoughts of Daphne and speaking to her had been abruptly wiped away like chalk from the blackboard there as she drew in slow breaths. Attempts to calm herself, they came, they went-- they weren't working.
  159.
  160. She hated Yokai.
  161.
  162. Deep within her very body, mind, and soul... She hated them. She hated them so awfully that it made her stomach twist in rage, her heart beat adrenaline throughout her form, and her hands to clench down by her sides as she attempted oh so hard to keep herself steady.
  163.
  164. "What does my fate say?"
  165.
  166. The words were not meek. At all, in the slightest. No. They drawled, as if they had something clinging to them. A resounding, angry malice as she stared up, fingers moving to push the goggles upwards there to the top of her head. Like a lazy motion, the third eye settled there at her forehead would now open, and all three of Brienne's eyes would watch Iraxus as if he was...
  167.
  168. ...dirt beneath of her shoes.
  169.
  170. "It says rip your horns from atop of your head, break you into itty bitty pieces, baptize you in lava, and mount your head upon my city's walls. Because I hate you, and I hate your kind. Filth. Trash. Nothing." The words were spat, and the ground around seemed to grow... soft?
  171.
  172. Bubbling of molten lava popped from the ground as she watched the creature there. It was his move.
  173.
  174. What piece would he move on the board in front him?
  175. (Brienne Whitefall)
  176. [00:23:15] Iraxus looked at the two girls as they spoke. Each one of them had a special way of speaking. The girl who started speaking first gave him a hellisih glare. It was so scary to the yokai as he understood how she was trying to shake him up. Though Iraxus was not even close to worried. The girl spoke telling him to leave now. That sounded like a threat Iraxus smirk went to a frown and not a good one. She seem to be the calm and yet deadly one until.
  177.
  178. He turned and looked to see one of them looking extremely angry. As if she wanted to him to see death as soon as he could. Iraxus liked that stare it showed hi, true hate and it was great! He wanted to see more as she began to speak. The girl also had a tongue on her. This made Iraxus chuckle as she spoke of ripping his horns off of him. She think she could stand up to a kaor how foolish were these two girls.
  179.
  180. "You little brats have alot of talk! A lizard with a spec of malice deserves to be in the ground. Your god is a slave to my foot everytime i kill one of your people. I remember how i tortured one of your soliders and then broke his body into pieces. Ryujin the god of breathing out lies. If i had the power of the heavens i would cut him into pieces and then send him to you all Maybe i could make you into a slave just like that slave they called Vareline." he says with a smirk.
  181.
  182. He then looks at the other girl. "You speak and have that look of that dead man! He spoke to me like that. Also that stare i hate that stare! Whatever the case he is dead now and good for me! Now take your fire breathing lizard here home or else i will make you two into chopped boars." he says with a smirk.
  183.
  184. He held his blade tight ready for whatever they had to say or do next. Iraxus always liked pushing the buttons.
  185.
  186.
  187. (Iraxus)
  188. [00:31:47] Arcelia didn't like having her buttons pressed. She didn't like watching Brienne's buttons be pressed, either. This Yokai fucked up. It fucked up hard. She took a single step forward, as flames erupted from around her body, vaporizing the grass under her. It didn't stop at burning the grass to ashes, though- even those ashes became naught but smoke. Her flames burned hot, and her flames burned strong.
  189.
  190. "I actually think I'm going to rip you apart."
  191.
  192. Cracking her knuckles, Arcelia hesitated for a moment. She wasn't expecting Brienne to wait very long before attacking, given she was likely even more pissed off than Arcelia was, so she wanted to wait for the beast to be unleashed before attacking herself. Arcelia's strategy would depend on how mad Brienne got. Either way, this would be great practice for any future fights, even if Iraxus just ended up being a glorified training dummy.
  193.
  194. "I'm not gonna let you get away with saying things like that. Know your place, scum."
  195. (Arcelia Hirano)
  196. [00:40:19] "And you? You're about to have the look of a corpse."
  197.
  198. This Kaor Yokai had truly caught the wrong person, wrong time, wrong day. Fingers twisted there to slam the weaponry at her back down into the ground with a 'schink!' as she twisted her shoulders there, staring forward at the creature. There was a glimmer, a flicker in her eyes there that spoke volumes of the fie within her very soul. So, what did he want to do?
  199.
  200. "So tell me, Coward Yokai. Do you run? Do you show your fear in the face of two girls?" She demanded there as she held her fingers around the spear there. "Two children?" Her knuckles grasped at the weapon there as she rolled her shoulders. She did not appreciate creatures such as this making motions, speaking of her family as he had.
  201.
  202. "If anyone here's a slave, it's you. Because you're going to become a slave to your fear of us."
  203.
  204. She smirked now as she looked at him, staring him down. She wasn't going to flinch. She might've felt the fear of adrenaline roaming through her, but she was not going to run tail and run away. Absolutely not. This was bigger game than she had ever hunted, anyways...
  205.
  206. "For someone who complains about a lot of talk, it seems like you talk too much as well. Where's the action, coward?" Poised, ready to strike... Teeth clenched, a body ready. She was pissed. Beyond belief. But... Until the battle happened? She wouldn't expend that energy. No, no... She had to keep it neat and concise like any good leader would have.
  207. (Brienne Whitefall)
  208. [00:50:33] Okay, that Yokai was actually pretty fast. Mind, Arcelia was too, but Brienne... Brienne fell behind. The Yokai had successfully split the two of them up, forcing a one on one fight. That's alright- she was confident in her victory regardless. Eventually, though, he finally stopped (I assume), and Arcelia did too. Behind her was a long trail of shadowflames that followed her wherever she went, as a mere byproduct of what happens when she simply ran.
  209.
  210. The collateral damage she caused by simply moving was immense- what happened when she actually fought? Well, this Yokai was about to find out the hard way, and he wouldn't be spared the brunt of the small girl's wrath. He picked the wrong time to mess with her, and was going to make him intimately aware of just how badly he fucked up.
  211.
  212. "Prepare yourself. I'm not going easy."
  213.
  214. You know what they say about hell having no fury...
  215. (Arcelia Hirano)
  216. [00:50:33] Iraxus was smirking as he saw these girls were not playing around. They were wanting to kill him. He chuckled as he was not going to be fighting a gank of people again. That last time almost cost him. With a swoop of fire he covered the grounds from the drakanite. The creature would deal with her next. He stood tall as he looked the girl up and down. Killing her would be such a delight but he wanted to have both of them.
  217.
  218. "Now that the lizard is out of my way your alone! You seem to think highly of your fire power! Good to know i'm gonna break those dreams. Can you feel the chill of my blade cutting into you. You humans need to learn your place. Yet, it seems death fits you very well so i'm gonna grant you this request soon. No, after i'm done with you i'm going to destroy your friend and then make you watch as i tear all her details away. Wouldn't that be a nice thing to do?!" he crackles with madness.
  219.
  220. He then got ready as he summoned forth his soliders. He would not hold back on this child. She was gonna learn her place today. He was going to shall both of the young brats what happens when they mess with a fire kaor. Though he couldn;t be all the way prepared. He got ready for it as he charged.
  221.
  222. "Well then welcome to hell!"
  223. (Iraxus)
  224. [00:58:14] Arcelia held control over the entirety of the fight, even though she admittedly took more damage than she was expecting. Although, for what it's worth, she got reckless towards the end, wishing to end it instead of preventing any injury to herself. She had naught but minor wounds, and was definitely somewhat disappointed as a result. Despite this, the adrenaline still flowed, and it showed in just how badly she wanted to have a good fight.
  225.
  226. "Come on now! Hurt me more! Make me sweat! MAKE ME BLEED! IF IT CAN BLEED, IT CAN DIE, RIGHT?!"
  227.
  228. She got so ridiculously passionate over fighting that she turned into an entirely different person. Normally, she was rather emotionless when fighting, but that was solely because she had to restrain herself. Here? She didn't. She could cut loose. And she expected her opponents to do the same.
  229.
  230. "OR ARE YOU TOO AFRAID TO ACTUALLY HURT ME?!"
  231.
  232. oh my god
  233. (Arcelia Hirano)
  234. [00:59:05] Ah, ah.
  235.
  236. So she got left behind. No matter, no matter. It just seemed as though she'd let Arcelia do her whole jazz about being the sword, right? If anything had befallen her, she'd certainly be sure to step in between. Molten hot magma would drip and fall from her wings there as she lept upwards, now soaring through the sky to drop down upon a cliff overwatching the battle. Steely blue eyes gazed on, and she'd keep her arms crossed there over her chest. She was a bit angry with herself, but where she lacked in speed, she knew she made up for it in raw strength, and that? That was something that no one would take away form her.
  237.
  238. Pushing her lips outward in a small pout, she'd stand there upon the edge and let her wings flutter and shake, a roll of her shoulder following along as she let her gaze follow along the battle. Arcelia was a monster in her own right. So... Maybe letting her handle the battle on her own was for the best.
  239.
  240. Especially when she screamed some really, really crazy stuff like that in the end.
  241.
  242. This was her best friend and confidant, and... she loved every moment of it.
  243. (Brienne Whitefall)
  244. [01:03:21] Iraxus actually was feeling some hella pain. He was getting rekt by this girl. The shocking part was she could use flames which he couldn't even muster up yet. Iraxus punched the ground as he was not going to lose. The fire hitting all around the forest as the two fought. It was indeed a hellish feeling as he felt his body burn up. The fun he was having was long gone now.
  245.
  246. His dark aura turned into a fiery one as he looked at the girl. She really was a cocky little itch. He had manage to get hits on her but being blinded was not a good feeling. Iraxus had to be careful now. He backed up as he was preparing to fight again. The two creatures before him were indeed not normal girls. He swiped his blade as blood dripped down his face.
  247.
  248. "Your going to regret that!" he says to her.
  249. (Iraxus)
  250. [01:10:11] It was completely one-sided- Iraxus didn't stand a chance. While Arcelia didn't escape unharmed by any means, she still held the upper hand, overwhelming the Kaor with the raw power of her fire magic. Was this even good practice if she, one day, took on Kudana...? Honestly, probably not- she held such an overwhelming advantage that she didn't truly learn anything about how fire Yokai fought.
  251.
  252. The final blow was a powerful wave of flames, and she tossed the spear forth, pinning Iraxus to the ground. She loomed over him, standing on his injured body, although given she was pretty light, it wouldn't really do anything more than having a spear in his gut would.
  253.
  254. "Do you have any allies? Friends? Or Kraus-forbid... loved ones?"
  255.
  256. "Speak up. If you're honest, I might leave you for my friend to finish off instead of doing it myself. And believe me..."
  257.
  258. Arcelia twisted the spear, for the sole purpose of inflicting more pain.
  259.
  260. "...You'll prefer what she'll do to you."
  261. (Arcelia Hirano)
  262. [01:18:43] Iraxus had lost just like he expected. The creature wasn't surprised as he felt as he had dropped as when the other gained. He had become a fallen one as he basically was begging for death. When he saw the two girls he knew what he was foing. Chances were he would rather die either way in the battle. As the two had fought he saw the gap between their power. Iraxus was so focused on other things he always fell short.
  263.
  264. Then he was hit with a powerful wall of flames. Iraxus lost and knew it was over. He knew he had no one but Admiral Zan. Though he knew his brother would be the one to get revenge someday in a different way. He chuckled as he looked at the girl as the flames were engulfing him. The creature found it so funny that flames were the undoing to him.
  265.
  266. "Ahh fighting Kudana, Erik Hirano, and many other have showed i'm not needed in this world. Death will be a blessing at this moment as a yokai as weak as I am can no longer do nothing. You creatures enjoy your freedom while it lasts. With Nostvale done for you will see death eventually coming to Frostvale." he says laughing.
  267.
  268. He spitted out blood. Looking at the sun he chuckled. "Though good luck taking any remains of me after. Only thing you will have will be the ashes of me. Death comes for me now. So get it over with!" he tells her.
  269.
  270. He was done speaking.
  271. (Iraxus)
  272. [01:30:40] With Nostvale done for.
  273.
  274. With... Nostvale... done for.
  275.
  276. That's all she needed to hear.
  277.
  278. "I don't need your remains. I don't need anything from you. You're just so... useless."
  279.
  280. Arcelia pointed her hand towards him, as violet flames began to coalesce within her palm. The flames grew significantly in intensity, and if there was anything left to burn nearby, it certainly would've. She tore the spear from Iraxus' gut and instead opted to thrust her hand into his abdomen, leaving the flame she created behind. It didn't burn him yet, though. No, it just remained there, looming, doing nothing but holding him down.
  281.
  282. "Useless... useless... USELESS... USELESS!"
  283.
  284. She began punching him, and with every punch, she left behind another flame. Her arms were weak- too weak to actually penetrate his skin, but that just meant she could continue doing this without him dying. The flames spread around his body and burned hot, the release of death being refused to him until he literally could not feel pain anymore. And, with every punch, well...
  285.
  286. It didn't need repeating just what she'd chant with every blow. It should be rather obvious at this point.
  287.
  288. By the time she was done, there was absolutely nothing left of him, not even ashes. The ashes were burned to dust, and the dust scattered in the wind. It was so completely and utterly overkill that all but the most ardent of Yokai haters would find it just... compeltely unnecessary.
  289.
  290. Luckily, only the most ardent of Yokai haters were actually around to see it. And the best part?
  291.
  292. This Yokai was just the first of many who'd suffer the same fate.
  293. (Arcelia Hirano)
  294. [01:41:45] It seemed that even Arcelia hated things that continued to fail or betray her. Which hey? You know what? She probably had a right. She had a right to be so angry and to destroy things that failed her. VUlnona too; would do the same thing. However it seemed that this particular Kaor Yokai was not intending to get on Arcelia's bad side. For Arcelia was a growing Magi. A growing magi that could one day defeat and potentially even kill this Kaor if she was not smart about the moves she made.
  295.
  296. Watching in the distance Arcelia release her destructive punches, the ashes and dust that flew in the wind in her direction where caught, licked tenderly upon the finger and tail tips, before the creature stepped forward and approached Arcelia; paying little mind to her other friend. "Ah. Arcelia. A bit of a sorrowful moment you got to him before me. I was going to devour him to aid in my own ascension but alas. Seems I cannot? I suppose that is fitting. I continued to fight for Nostvale as you requested until I could no longer fight, my endeavors beyond that point would have been fruitless and ended my life.
  297.
  298. I think the end of my life; would have been more detrimental to your cause." Of course, the Kaor then addressed Brienne. "Ah yes. I seem to have forgot your name. I know it started with a B... I am Vulnona. A good ally and friend of the Hirano princess." It then grinned widely.
  299. (Vulnona)
  300. [01:42:36] Nostvale... had fallen.
  301.
  302. A lighter coloration seemed to scatter along her features there as she was taken back. Even with Frostvale's support, it had been cast away and it had been trampled...? No. That made her feel angry. It brought a rage to the inside of her mind. She knew it. She knew... she god damned knew, she knew that this was nothing that should've been. No no no no no... God damnit. How could they have gone and just... She knew that Ventus was an idiot for supporting Oscuri, she knew that it was a problem... Her fingers lifted upwards and she'd grab there at her hair, tugging at it just so as she attempted to quell the anger inside of her.
  303.
  304. With each declaration of 'useless' ringing through, she'd draw in a few breaths as she slammed her feet down against the ground, moving forward there. The dust may have scattered to the wind, but the girl now moved to grab a hold of Arcelia's wrists-- or attempt to, at last.
  305.
  306. And innocently, just lightly so, a small touch of Brienne's lips against Arcelia's to at least displace some of the angry emotion there inside of her best friend. "Shhh... shhhhshshhhhhh..." She whispered, watching the other girl.
  307.
  308. "We'll get it back. I promise. We'll get Nostvale back. They can't keep it forever. He's dead. He couldn't have done anything to you anyways. You're safe, with me. He's dead." Heavy breaths as she watched. Here was to hoping that the Hirano didn't outright jab her in the face or anything, but...
  309.
  310. She needed to come back to reality. They both had hatred within them, but... Only one of them was overbrimming with adrenaline right now, and she needed to be soothed.
  311.
  312. "I'm here for you. You did really, really good..."
  313.
  314. Though, she'd snap her head over.
  315.
  316. "Leave NOW."
  317. (Brienne Whitefall)
  318. [01:45:10] Wesker Blueknight: ( Hiya Folks!
  319. [01:45:10] Arcelia Hirano: hi)
  320. [01:50:17] Brienne's attempts to calm Arcelia down were mostly successful. The anger eventually subsided and turned to relative apathy, and then a profound sense of sadness. Her pet Yokai appearing caused her to shell up for a moment, preventing any further display of sadness. She shooed her away, hoping Vulvnoa would leave and allow them their moment.
  321.
  322. "Vulnona... now's not the time. Please go."
  323.
  324. At that point, Arcelia just collapsed in Brienne's arms. She didn't break out into a weeping fit or anything, but she did go mostly limp. A few tears dripped from her eyes, but nothing that'd soak anything.
  325.
  326. It was just quiet, solemn sadness.
  327.
  328. "...they won. They won. Why did they win. Who should've won?"
  329. (Arcelia Hirano)
  330. [01:56:16] A glare was given toward Brienne who had the audacity to dare give a command toward Vulnona. Especially within her own woods. Something about this girl had driven a sense of distrust and disgust in the Kaor; as it then turned to start at Arcelia. "As you so kindly requested, Arcelia." But then a glare was given toward Brienne. One that was, despite the smirk, clearly malevolent.
  331.
  332. "Do not command me in my territory in such a rude, harsh manner. I will rely my first-hand experiences of the battle when Arcelia is ready to listen." But as for the other girl, something felt odd. There was a pact made between Arcelia and Vulnona, but perhaps this Drakanite would get in the way of such a pact... Oh well. Not like there was much to say or do if she did.
  333.
  334. With that, the eight tails of the Kitsune were noticably turned toward Arcelia and her friend. "I do have a friend of mine who wishes to meet with you. Perhaps someone you can use to pull aid from, as well." But these were comments that were only made once the Kaor had begin walking away; and telepathically as well, inserted into Arcelia mind and only hers.
  335. (Vulnona)
  336. [02:03:56] As Arcelia collapsed there inside of her arms, she'd bring her hands upwards and wrap them tight around the other girl, bringing her fingers upwards to brush and stroke through the dark strands of hair that fell from Arcelia's head. A name. Vulnona, yes? That's what she had heard Arcelia say. Well, then... Tucking the girl's head beneath of her chin, she'd offer but a small smirk there. There was no other regard given toward the creature, no.
  337.
  338. It was a strange feeling that the red winged Drakanite seemed to give, but all of her focus had been placed down upon the Hirano girl there. "They won because there's no support." She commented quietly as she rocked lightly there, hold her tight. "No support for something like Kudana. Even the men Ace sent did not wish to show up." She whispered, looking down.
  339.
  340. "It's not 'who should've won' anymore, 'Celia... It's..." A pause and she'd stare out over the expanse of the Wychwood closer.
  341.
  342. "... It's a matter of when we are going to win."
  343.
  344. Attempting to help the girl up to her feet, she'd pull the other along. "Come on. Let's go. We can get you a hot bath and a nice bed to sleep in, okay?" She'd attempt to lead the other girl away, naturally. Horrors, horrors everywhere.
  345.
  346. Whatever could they have done?
  347. (Brienne Whitefall)
  348. [02:09:55] That was a good way of thinking about it. When would they win...? Maybe not any time soon. But one day they would, and that's what mattered. They were young. They could get stronger. They could build up allies. They could take the right risks at the right time. And in the end, they could crush those who had made their lives what it was.
  349.
  350. In theory, at least.
  351.
  352. "...a-alright."
  353.
  354. Arcelia stood up and held on to Brienne tightly, allowing Brienne to drag her off wherever, Arcelia herself lost in thought.
  355.
  356. Some day, things would change for the better. Hopefully.
  357.
  358. cue ooc sleep, i'm so tired
  359. [17:40:03] Arcelia didn't hesitate. The moment she heard she might have some good news in her life, she ran off to where Vulnona usually was- Wychwood. If only for the sake of venting, she torched several lesser Yokai on the way, but it didn't do much to help. It certainly didn't make it worse, though, so at the very least, it offered her some negligable practice. Sure enough, after wading through the woods, she stumbled upon her Yokai no-longer-a-pet and set down in front of it, the expression on her face doing nothing to hide her frustration and bitterness towards the events that have transpired.
  360.
  361. "It better be good news. If this is a waste of my time..."
  362.
  363. She paused.
  364.
  365. "I'll probably just leer angrily at you and go about my day. I don't have the energy to actually get upset at you, especially since, unlike most people, you at least actually try to help."
  366.
  367. At least she was honest.
  368. (Arcelia Hirano)
  369. [17:50:17] There had to be more to it than that.
  370.
  371. "I don't have any enemies. I don't think there'd be any problem with me hanging out there, although my brother might've fucked that up."
  372.
  373. He probably did. Abram was insistent on fighting and given he was nowhere to be seen, he probably lost. If he was a prisoner... he probably left a bad impression on Arcelia by proxy. Their family was an enemy to New Alteros, so maybe this was more of a benefit than she thought at first...
  374.
  375. "But give me more details. I'm curious on how this will actually benefit me when I want to take it over on my own at some point."
  376.
  377. It was still, at the very least, somewhat helpful to her. But would it actually amount to anything? Or was it a meaningless gesture? It depended on what Vulnona said, obviously.
  378. (Arcelia Hirano)
