  1. After removing one responses for not answering any of the verification questions, there were a total of 82 responses to the poll that passed verification.
  2.
  3. The following players have been CUT due to not receiving enough Keep votes to surpass other options:
  4. - KILL THE OCEAN (he wandered off again after not getting to kill any limbabs last season)
  5. - Pink Dog (Manager's Favorite TRAPPED and BETRAYED to sit on the sidelines again)
  6. - Jonkler (off he goes to become some seaborn abomination in the desert or whatever)
  7.
  8. The following players will be ADDED due to receiving more Add votes than other options:
  9. - Dorkpire (it's been seven years...)
  10. - This ___ Belongs to Ursus (returning to address the allegations of jobbing to miners)
  11. - Cocaine Bear (that's right a LITERAL bear covered in crack rocks)
  12.
  13. For name changes, Kal'tsit will be renamed to MY KALLY WALLY NYEEEES with 34 votes, Endspeaker will stay HELL YEAH with 24 votes, Lappland will remain Lappland, Unemployed with 33 votes, Mon3tr will stay Granddaught3r with 34 votes, Ulpianus will remain Ulpipi with 39 votes, and Ceobe will still be C E O B E with 36 votes. Evil Woman will continue to be represented with Priestess who got 36 votes. Also, all of the medal players hold onto their respective gold and silver medals, although Kal'tsit overcame the other two silver medals in terms of popularity this time.
  14.
  15. And so, /akg/'s roster of VGL26 (ordered from most popular to least popular) will be:

  39.
  40. Random trivia:
  41. > Doctor and Amiya both got the same amount of Remove votes this time: 2. This means, for the first time ever, the second gold medal is exactly as popular as the first (who has always been Doctor).
  42. > Nobody got triple-digit votes this time (since there weren't triple-digit responses to the poll), but the five medal players were the only ones to get above 70 votes (Doc and Amiya got 80, Kal got 77, SilverAsh got 74, and the beans got 73).
  43. > The votes for Endspeaker's, Ceobe's, and Closure's names were pretty close. HELL YEAH and Out of Control were off by one vote (24 to 23), C E O B E and C! were off by two votes (36 to 34), and Dorkpire and It's Been 7 Years... were also off by two votes (26 to 24).
  44. > The cut-off line for the roster was less tight than the last couple of polls, with a 3 vote gap between Skadi and the first cut player. Unfortunately for you Ave Mujica fans out there, that player happened to be Sakiko; Skadi had 51 Keep votes and Sakiko had 48 Add votes. She would've had the name Plink Plink Plink, which got 26 out of the 48 votes. Also, unfortunately for any Kjeragandr faithful, Pramanix was right behind Sakiko with 47 Add votes and would've been named FAT FUCK with 21 votes of those 47. Really thought they were gonna get on looking at the Google Forms pie charts, honestly, got surprised during the final count.
  45. > The least popular potential new players who all got under 20 Add votes were Vivianna with 19, Zima with 17 (and would've been named НЕТ!), Witness Boy and Boobly Prosecutor with 15, and Pepe with 14.
  46. > There were a lot of ties in this poll, including the aforementioned ZERO SANITY and Donkey one! So here they are:
  47. - ZERO SANITY and Donkey (80-2)
  48. - WageGOD and Dorkpire (61-21)
  49. - The Tyrant and BLEMISHED (60-20)
  50. - Wakata and This ___ Belongs to Ursus (58-24)
  51. - Cutest Cripple and Cocaine Bear (56-26)
  52. - HELL YEAH, Evil Woman, and Zhang Leakerman (54-28)
  53. - There is Another Humiliation Ritual, BLOCK CERO, and Platato (41-41) (perfectly balanced)
  54. - Pink Dog, Very Cool Nickname, and OMG MISS CHRISTINE HIIIII (39-43)
  55. - Jonkler, A F*CKING JERBOA, and Haruka (who would've been named What Color is a Goldfish?) (36-46)
  56. - doko and Wis'adel (who would've been named La Cucaracha) (29-53)
  57. - El Banana and Blaze (who would've been named Best Friend Blaze) (24-58)
  58. - THE WEEDSTER and Acute Angle (22-60)
  59.
  60. Ball Update:
  61. Kotdoc Fat Fuck decisively remains the ball with 45 votes. Exuapple was 2nd place with 11 votes, Originite Prime was 3rd with 10 votes, Ch'orb was 4th with 9, and Platato 5th with 7.
  62.
  63. Music Update:
  64. There's changes to the music this time! While ALL!! (You Can Be Good Enough etc. etc.) will continue to remain the default goalhorn (winning over No Bet No Life and Operation Blade), both the anthem and the victory anthem will change. Surprisingly, the music from the 7th Anniversary PV will be the new anthem, winning over 2nd placer Monster and 3rd placer Broken Sun. While a brand new song will be the anthem, for victory anthem there'll instead be the return of an old favorite: Radiant, which won over 2nd placer (and also previously-used) Misty Memory (Night) and 3rd placer Still the Same.
  65.
  66. Verification Questions:
  67. > Why does Kjeragandr allow bad things to happen to good people? Well, according to the majority (16 people), Kjeragandr actually did nothing wrong as she is a god who should not be questioned and works in mysterious ways. 11 people blamed people other than Kjeragandr for those bad things, such as SilverAsh, Astgenne, Muelsyse, Pramanix, and Doctor. 10 people insisted that there are no good people and they all deserved it anyway. 10 people labeled themselves as bonafide SKIPchads, 9 people blamed her having sex (mostly with them), 8 said she was terrible in various ways, 5 claimed she wasn't a god at all and just some giant snake worm, 4 cited her being sleepy as why, and 3 just made ice puns. Shout-outs to the guy who told me to read the event (which I did, I enjoyed it, especially the part where the British got humiliated).
  68. > It has been determined that Great Yan is the most powerful nation on Terra (and on Talos-II in the future if you think about it) with 15 voters who will very shortly be seeing an increase in their social credit thank you very much. 13 delusional people tried to claim that a nation that doesn't exist anymore and never will again (read: Gaul) is the most powerful. 8 Amerifats picked Columbia, 7 Slavs picked Ursus, and 5 tail-enjoyers picked Sargon (if they stopped holding back). Victoria and Iberia only got 2 votes each, putting them equal to Kjerag and Sami, how the mighty have fallen. Shout-outs to the 1 person who votes for Minos and the 1 other person who voted for Not Minos. Also someone voted for Dublinn but that is NOT what it's called, it is called TARA.
  69. > The worst Guard operator has been voted to be Lessing with 12 votes, finally grabbing himself one of these 'worst' awards after getting 2nd place to Vigil for being the worst 6* operator in the VGL23 poll. KEE, the burrito herself, got 2nd place with 8 votes. Tied with her, interestingly, was Guard, who I'm pretty sure we've never actually been told what class he was (but who cares fuck him rot in hell traitor). Vina got 4th place with 6 votes, Ch'en got 5th with 4, and Savage got 6th with 3. Shout-outs to the four people who individually voted for "me", "(You)", "Your favorite Guard", and "There are no bad Guards".
  70. > Also, an additional shout-out to the guy who put "C!" as the answer to all three verification questions, as well as putting "C e o e b that spells Ceobe!" in the suggestion box.
  71.
  72. That does it for this iteration of the /akg/ divegrass poll. Thanks to everyone who responded as per usual and continues to go nuts in the thread whenever a match is on, you're all truly wonderful. VGL26 starts on the first weekend of June and runs throughout the month, so look forward to that! Suggestion box stuff has been relayed to the managers as well, so hopefully some of your ideas in there can get implemented (I'd like to see a miner's pickaxe in Ursus's back, for example. I'm pretty sure the ones about Blemishine won't though, stop it, get some help). Also, there should be another little poll linked in the post that had this pastebin linked as well for seeing if the goalkeepers will change or not. Both Cannot and Blemishine stayed on, so they might hold onto those positions, but hey who knows, vote if you want someone else to tend to the net.
  73.
  74. Thanks again, lads, and remember, it'll all be okay.
