  1. Blonde - Frank Ocean
  2.
  3. "You are from a past life, hope you doing well bruh"
  4.
  5. During my first listen, Blonde seemed like a sonically beautiful album but a mess. An album with no real coherence or set themes. I liked many of the singles on Blonde before my first listen (Ivy, Nights), but didn't like the overall experience until the 2nd half. While I'm still undecided on how I feel about this album, I can definitely say that Frank's vocals paired with the dreamy instrumentals make for an amazing experience. I don't see myself listening to Blonde in its entirety very often, but will certainly listen to many tracks from it.

  7. Favourite Songs: Ivy, Pink + White, Solo, Nights, Futura Free
  8.
  9. Least Favourite Song: Pretty Sweet
  10.
  11. Sidenote: I think I'll stop rating songs /10 cause I really haven't got almost any experience with RnB, Jazz and experimental albums.

  19. Some Rap Songs - Earl Sweatshirt
  20.
  21. "Bad acid did damage to my mental"
  22.
  23. My opinion on SRS is pretty controversial. I won't ramble, I'll just express my complaints. The album is very experimental and the production is definitely interesting. However, the lyrics are too abstract and the album feels dragged out (despite the very short runtime). The theme of depression and drug abuse appear on the vast majority of the tracks, and Earl definitely does a good job of expressing his despondency through the lyrics, but other than that, I don't find anything special in SRS.
  24.
  25. SRS was my introduction to Earl project-wise and I think that's why I don't really share the same opinion as others. I'll re-evaluate it once I've listened to the rest of his discography (Earl to IDLS only) and hopefully my opinion will have changed.

  38. 7 - Lil Nas X
  39.
  40. "True say, I want and I need to let go, use my time and be free"
  41.
  42. 7 is Lil Nas X's debut commercial project. It's a 15 mintue long project with Hip Hop, Rock and Country Trap songs. The production is good and the lyrical content, while average at best, is good enough to create catchy hooks. I personally believe that 7 achieves its goal of creating catchy "pop" songs, and some of the tracks here will become part of my summer playlists.
