  1. 12:51 PM] BilisOnyxia: How to set up your transmog flipping profile:
  2.
  3. Step 1)
  4.
  5. Start by doing a /reload
  6.
  7. After the reload, open TSM -> Settings. At the bottom of the window, enter "BilisTransmog" in the "Enter a name for a new profile" textbox, then hit the "Create New Profile" button.
  8.
  9. [12:51 PM] BilisOnyxia: Step 2)
  10.
  11. Once you have created the profile, go to TSM -> Import/Export and copy the import string that you can find on https://pastebin.com/KXfTtCkU into the big "Import Group & Operations" textbox. This might take a while and your WoW client will stop responding. Just give it some time to recover, this can take several minutes (If your WoW does not recover and you get disconnected, you can copy&paste the string in smaller chunks. I have provided pastebin links for 8 partial chunks at the bottom of this channel.)

  14. BilisTransmog - Pastebin.com
  15.
  16. [12:52 PM] BilisOnyxia: Once WoW has recovered, your TSM window should look like shown in the screenshot above. Click the "Import" button and then on the next page, click the Confirm button.
  17.
  18. [12:52 PM] BilisOnyxia: Your WoW client might become unresponsive again for a little while. Just give it some time. In case you get a message that TSM was unable to import a group, do a /reload and try Step 2) again.
  19. After everything has been imported, do one last /reload
  20. [12:52 PM] BilisOnyxia: Step 3)
  21.
  22. Open TSM -> Groups. You will see a group named "** Delete Me **" that has a few subgroups named "ImportHelper". These groups were only needed to import all operations that come with the profile. Select the "** Delete Me **" group and click on the little trashbin icon to delete the group.
  23.
  24. [12:53 PM] BilisOnyxia: In the confirmation window that will pop up, click the "Delete" button.
  25.
  26. [12:53 PM] BilisOnyxia: Step 4)
  27.
  28. You have now successfully set up your transmog profile, now it's time to pick the auctioning and shopping operations you want to use.
  29.
  30. Open TSM -> Groups and select the top level "Transmog" group. You might experience some lag, that's because the group is really big. Click on the "Group Operations" tab.
  31.
  32. [12:53 PM] BilisOnyxia: Choosing your auctioning operations:
  33.
  34. By default, the "Transmog" group has the "Transmog - Medium" operation assigned as its first operation and the "* Transmog - Medium *" operation assigned as its second operation.
  35.
  36. [12:54 PM] BilisOnyxia: The profile comes with 3 sets of auctioning operations that you can choose from:
  37. Low, Medium and High. Each set consists of 2 operations.
  38.
  39. [12:54 PM] BilisOnyxia: Here's what the difference between the 3 sets:
  40.
  41. "Low" will post your items rather cheap, well below their value, while still ensuring that you make a decent profit. This allows you to move your stock faster, but at a lower price.
  42.
  43. "Medium" will try to post your items at pretty reasonable prices. Your transmog will likely take a while to sell at these prices, but you will get a reasonable price for your items.
  44.
  45. "High" will try to post your items at prices that are a decent bit above the value of the items when possible. This is the most greedy approach and you will likely sell items much slower, but you will often times get much better prices for the items that do sell.
  46.
  47. If you want to use the "Medium" operations, you can simply leave everything as it is. If you want to use the "Low" or "High" operations instead, simply click on the little "x" buttons to remove the two operations that are assigned to the group and then select the operations you want to use.
  48. [12:54 PM] BilisOnyxia: In the end, your assigned auctioning operations should look like either of these three examples (the operation that has stars around its name needs to be the second operation):
  49.
  50. [12:55 PM] BilisOnyxia: Choosing your shopping operation:
  51.
  52. By default, the "Transmog" group has the "Transmog - above 500g" operation assigned as its shopping operation.
  53.
  54. [12:55 PM] BilisOnyxia: This means that TSM will only search for transmog items that are valued at >= 500 gold.
  55.
  56. The profile comes with a few different shopping operations you can choose from if you want to be more picky.
  57.
  58. [12:55 PM] BilisOnyxia: If you are okay with buying items valued as low as 500g, you can just leave things as they are. But if you want to only search for items valued at >= 2,000g, 5,000g or 10,000g, you can simply remove the currently assigned shopping operation by clicking the little "x" icon and then assign the shopping operation of your choice instead.
  59. [12:56 PM] BilisOnyxia: --------------------------------------------------
  60.
  61. That's it, you are good to go.
  62.
  63. Since the profile relies on recent pricing data for your realm, you might want to do a /reload so that the addon has access to the most recent data. You then open the AH and switch to the Shopping tab. Select your transmog group and run a shopping scan. There will be a couple seconds of lag while TSM preprocesses which transmog items it needs to search for, before the actual scan starts. This preprocessing allows us to cut down the time the actual scan takes from >30 minutes to only a couple of seconds.
  64.
  65. Everything that shows up in the scan should be worth buying. The percentage that is being displayed is relative to the maximum shopping price of your shopping operation. So when an item displays 90%, that does not mean it is listed at 90% of its value, but rather that it is listed 10% below the maximum price you are willing to pay.
  66.
  67. That being said, be cautious when you find a rather expensive item:
  68.
  69. While my profile tries its best to not fall for inflated prices, there is always a chance that all price sources have been severely inflated for an item that actually is not anywhere near as valuable as the price sources would suggest. When you stumble upon a rather expensive item that is listed for 100k gold for example that seems to be valued at 5 million gold, according to the TSM price sources, I would generally recommend to take a second to actually look up the item to figure out if it really is that valuable, instead of blindly spending 100k gold.
  70.
  71. Once you have purchased some items, you'll want to collect your items from the mailbox to repost them on the AH. In the past I've frequently run into issues where my WoW client freezes when interacting with the mailbox. These issues can be prevented by doing a /reload before you access the mailbox.
  72. [12:57 PM] BilisOnyxia: I'd also recommend to do a /reload after you have collected a lot of sales and/or purchases, as that will save your accounting data to the TSM savedvariables file. That way you will not lose this data in case your WoW client freezes.
  73.
  74. With your newly bought transmog items in your bags, you can now open the AH and switch to the Auctioning tab. Select your transmog groups on the left of this screen and then run a post scan to post your items.
  75.
  76. Happy Transmog flipping!
  77. [11:04 AM] BilisOnyxia: In case anyone is not able to paste the entire import string into the import textbox all at once without disconnecting, here is the same import string split up into 8 parts:
  78.
  79. https://pastebin.com/VUy5wkGm
  80. https://pastebin.com/Xm0xG5S7
  81. https://pastebin.com/fcyH045n
  82. https://pastebin.com/ywErt8R3
  83. https://pastebin.com/RsqLsQaw
  84. https://pastebin.com/5jkVTByA
  85. https://pastebin.com/fiJZpMCZ
  86. https://pastebin.com/GN3EdXCH
  87.
  88. Open TSM -> Import/Export and copy the partial string from the first patebin (1/8) into the big "Import Group & Operations" textbox. This might take a while and your WoW client might stop responding. Just give it some time to recover.
  89.
  90. Then continue to copy&paste the remaining partial strings (2/8) through (8/8) into the same import textbox in WoW. So when you are done copy&pasting the partial strings, you should end up with the entire import string in the "Import Group & Operations" textbox.
  91.
  92. Once the full string is in the import textbox, you can click the "Import" button and then on the next page, click the Confirm button.
  93.
  94. After the import is done, do a /reload and continue with Step 3)
