  1. Essentially, I am looking to add some aesthetic to my room. I am a young man, who recently got a job. I was very excited to finally be able to afford some LED Lights, Posters, a flag, and a new rug. A friend suggested eBay. However, I am here to say I regret this decision. After spending an hour finding the posters that I think would look nice, the flag I wanted, the nice rug, and LED Lights. I went to buy these items. I typed in all my debit card information and the process went swell. To my surprise, my orders where all cancelled for some reason? How could this be, 8 different eBay vendors, 8 different items? I was given this message: "
  2. Your payment didn't go through, so the order was canceled. Please pay for this item again.". I decided I would reorder the items, but first I wanted to play it safe and make sure my money wasn't taken from my bank account. Obviously since "Your payment method didn't go through... ... Please pay for this item again." I would assume it wouldn't charge my debit card. I assumed, perhaps I typed it in wrong. After signing into my bank, it came to my surprise that I had 106$ in pending transactions towards PayPal(Which handles eBays transactions)! So, I called my bank, who simply told me to call eBay. I called eBay and waited in customer service line. The women who answered the phone was very rushy, and asked me for my name. Which I provided. I asked her politely why my transactions didn't go through. She avoided my question and stated "We do not handle our transactions you most call PayPal customer service!". She was very rude and talked too fast for my understanding. I called PayPal, and the operating system asked me "My purpose for calling." I stated eBay and the robot stated I should call eBay because PayPal and eBay are seperate companies. I then asked the robot to speak to customer service. After waiting for a substantial amount of time I was on the phone with a human! He told me, that I will get my money in approximately five days time. I asked him why it failed and he said I should contact eBay customer service. So, for the second time I contacted customer service of eBay to try and get an answer for why my transaction didn't go through. The agent who answered stated something along these lines "I don't know... uhm... I don't know... call your bank!" and I said "I have called my bank and they told me I should call eBay". He stated "Well I'm telling you to call your bank!". It was overly aggressive and an inappropriate way to treat your customers. I than said, "I am just trying to know why all my purchases from eight different sellers and eight different items all failed and is still putting my money in pending." I was than put on hold. He told me "It was an error with eBay. I'm sorry." So, I spent approximately two hours being told to call the other customer service agency by the other customer service agency back to back. My situation wasn't resolved. I got no rational reasoning. I do not mean to sound entitled, but when you don't have access to 106$ in funds at age 17, and the only useful thing you get is that eBay made a "mistake" and it will take my five days to get my money back, it's a very disappointing experience and I think everyone would agree this is no way to treat your customers. Afterall, I am young maybe my opinion is not valid.
