BACKGROUND:
    ¤ rei was born in osaka, japan, being born only minutes after her twin sister, izumi. her parents, had only ever really wanted one child, and were rather surprised to find that they were going to have another child, but of course they welcomed both of them into the world. growing up, rei was particularly close with her twin sister, and the two were always together, and always had each others backs, even though they were total opposites. rei always loved going outside and talking to new people, whilst izumi preferred to stay alone. they were both total opposites, and people often wondered how they could be related because they were as different as night and day. when rei was eight, however, her parents filed for a divorce, since they had begun to fight a lot. her mother won custody of both rei and izumi, and they moved to seoul, south korea, since her grandmother was ill and her mother wanted to go and see her. at first, rei really struggled with the move, especially with the language barrier. she also struggled to make friends, because people often were overwhelmed by how much she talked. rei quickly became close with her grandmother, who made a full recovery, and was one of the few people who would sit still for hours on end and listen to rei talk about nothing for hours on end, and she would also always give rei great advice, which led to the young girl always going to her for help. however, rei had an average childhood growing up in korea. she isn't very close with her dad, due to the fact that she only really gets christmas and birthday cards from him, and will occasionally get to visit him once every two years.

PERSONALITY:
    ¤ rei is honestly a really chatty person. she never seems to stop talking, and her extrovert personality seems to overwhelm a lot of people, even though it isn't her intention. she rambles a lot, and often talks very fast, which makes her words come out in a bit of a blur, which can sometimes cause her to mess up pronunciation, or even switch to japanese without realising it. she also talks really loudly, and chances are that if you can here someone talking from two streets away, it's rei. she is the type of person to start talking about something, then switch to a totally different subject within the same sentence. she has a habit of over exaggerating everything and blowing it way out of proportion. she is a very dramatic person, and can also be a bit fussy and whiny sometimes, usually because she can be very picky over what she will and won't eat or wear. she is an aegyo queen, and absolutely loves doing it, using it against other people to get what she wants. she is always there to cheer up her friends, and is almost never seen without a smile on her face. rei has a contagious laugh, and if she starts laughing, the people around her will laugh too. she doesn't often get sad, or angry (there are very few people who can say they've actually seen her completely lose her cool). rei is easily entertained, and resembles a child in the way that she is amazed by everything. she is horrible when it comes to any sort of technology, and barely knows how to use her phone past texting, calling and taking selfies. rei is a master at taking selfies, and probably takes over a hundred daily, and is a self proclaimed 'SELFIE QUEEN'. but other than that, she is totally useless when it comes to technology, and should not be left around it unsupervised, because she will probably start pressing buttons and then end up blowing up everything on a ten mile radius. she could probably break any form of technology just by looking at it (which is why she is a regular at the local phone store because she's always in there every other week getting a new phone because she's somehow managed to break her old one.) she is also shameless, and has no problems embarrassing herself. she is always late, and is never on time, which is why she's often seen puffed out and running around to get to places she should've been half an hour ago. she is a very open person, and is a horrible liar, due to the fact that she wears her emotions on her face clearly. she is a very trusting person, and falls in love easily, wearing her heart on her sleeve. she is the type of person to say that she is good at everything, but will probably end up breaking it (and then blaming it on an inanimate object, insisting that it was not her fault, or that she was having an off day). basically, rei is just a child at heart, and probably has the mental age of a seven year old.

HOW THEY MEET:
    ¤ rei, being rei, was of course running late to filming, so when she finally arrived and saw him, she immediately ran up to him, thinking he was just a member of the staff running the whole show. she went to talk to him, however he was kind of confused, especially since she was talking really fast, but when he finally realised what she was going on about, he was quick to say that he wasn't part of the staff, and that he was also on the show. then an actual staff member came up to them and started explaining everything.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
    ¤ HER | she thought he was  staff member, and it took her a while to realise that he wasn't. after that she immediately decided to become friends with him. she also thought he was really cute, and had a sudden urge to pinch his cheeks and start fussing over him.
    ¤ HIM | he, unlike most people, was not immediately scared off by her out there personality and excessive talking. he didn't immediately try and find the quickest way to the nearest exit, but instead just talking to her. he thought her chattiness was actually kind of funny, and decided that he wanted to become friends with her.

HOW SHE ACTS AROUND HIM:
    ¤ BEG | at the beginning, she doesn't really act any different around him, because she doesn't feel the need to. he's just another person to her, and of course she's going to try her best to befriend him. she's a major chatterbox, and continues to talk about anything and everything, talking it as a good sign when he talks back with her with equal enthusiasm, and shows no intention of running away. at the beginning, they're basically just friends who could literally talk about anything, and act as if they've known each other for their whole lives.
    ¤ MID | in the middle, they become a lot closer, and things get slightly awkward due to the fact that they're meant to be on a romance show, and rei low key realises that he's actually pretty good looking and sweet. however, she is not usually an awkward person, so she just ignores it. she doesn't try to flirt with him or anything, but she does start to glare at people who stop to stare at him, or show any romantic interest in him. however, since she's closer to him, she become a lot more cuddly, so she often curls up to him on the couch, or pinches his cheek and ruffles his hair.
    ¤ END | she is really close with him, and they have this sort of flirting thing going on, and he's always doing cute and romantic things for her, even when they're not being filmed. this makes her low-key flustered, but she doesn't show it, so she just talks to him like normal (but people can tell she's flustered because she's started talking twice as fast). she's much more open with skinship, and will even go as far as to kiss his cheek often. they're basically likes dating but not dating, and people always say that they'd make a cute couple, but neither of them bother to deny it.

HOW HE ACTS AROUND HER:
    ¤ BEG | he isn't overwhelmed by her in the slightest, and actually likes her bubbly and chatty personality. he finds her an easy person to talk to and be friends with, which makes it easy for the pair of them to become close. they both have beagle like personalities and have a lot in common, and he finds it really easy to talk to her. he finds her enthusiasm adorable, and it's like they've known each other for much longer than the short period of them being on the show. he's pretty much himself, and doesn't really act much different.
    ¤ MID | he's a lot closer with her, and still finds her completely adorable. however, he feels the need to impress her (because he low-key likes her) and starts to bluff about a lot of things to make himself seem better than he is (which doesn't always work out, especially when she asks him to prove it). however, he is a lot closer with her, and is always making up excuses to be near her and to talk to her. he's completely whipped, and will literally do anything she asks (he even went to buy her tampons when she asked for them)
    ¤ END | he's completely whipped and honestly really likes her, so he hopes that they'll stay in touch even after the show (whether they're dating or not). he also flirts with her, taking it as a good thing when she doesn't start yelling at him for being super cheesy (he also finds her cute when she's flustered, because she starts talking really fast). he doesn't understand why so many people are put off by her and her chattiness. he basically has a soft spot for her, and really enjoys being near her, and often initiates a lot of skinship, even if it's just pulling her to sit on his lap or wrapping his arm around her waist.

WHY SHE JOINED THE SHOW:
    ¤ despite declaring she's been in love multiple, she's never actually been in a relationship that lasted longer than a week, since her personality seems to scare most people off. she only joined because her sister heard about it and thought it would be a good opportunity, so she signed both of them up (rei had never expected to be accepted, especially when izumi wasn't)

    ¤ ok i want them to date because they're my babies but it's totally up to you on how their relationship ends up so i'm cool with them staying friends or whatever

    ¤ i don't think you forgot something, but i'm going to put this in because i feel the need to explain it, but you said that they were meant to compliment each other, and i think they match even though they have similar personalities because personally i see him being one of the few people who can keep up with rei, and not get scared off by her extrovert personality, since they both have loud, beagle like personalities, which is why i don't think she'd suit as well with a quieter member because she'd probably scare him off.
