Jack Bauer comes out of hiding in London to head off a massive terrorist attack while being hunted down by American forces dispatched by President James Heller.
Four years after the events of Day 8, Jack Bauer remains a federal fugitive. Meanwhile, amid growing concerns over the use of US military drones in combat, President James Heller pays a visit to London to negotiate a treaty to continue their basing on British soil. Having heard rumors of an imminent attack against Heller, Bauer resurfaces in the city, where he is apprehended by the CIA and forcibly recruited into joining their investigation. As forces within the White House conspire against him, Bauer realizes that the complexity of the plot extends beyond a presidential assassination, and that the consequences of a successful attack will alter the course of history. With the help of a disgraced CIA agent and a hacker collective preaching free information, he must confront an unseen enemy whose personal vendetta threatens to push the world to the brink of war.
If the original series did not wear you down completely, you get another opportunity with Live Another Day, for it&#39;s pretty much an exact copy of all the previous years productions. Even with another gravely-voiced, half-whispering character (just like Jack Bauer). For those watching the show week to week maybe this is not bothersome, but when streaming episodes one after another, these voices become quite annoying real fast. A bright spot was the addition of Yvonne Strahovski, she&#39;s a welcome change, and breaks up the monotony of Bauer&#39;s character. It&#39;s really not a terribly bad show, it&#39;s just so &#39;been-done,&#39; and it is now time to move on. Jack should really stop hogging the spy-drama/thriller air-waves.. and retire or disappear once-and-for-all.
*CONTAINS VERY MILD SPOILER*<br/><br/>Its 24 alright! Unfortunately the reason 24 had to end was they covered it all, each story went the same way, just the guts that were different.<br/><br/>This is no different, a plot, followed by it being foiled followed by an inside man nobody saw coming creating a new threat. I did tick spoiler alert but if you&#39;ve ever seen any episode of 24 ever, you&#39;d know this was coming anyway.<br/><br/>Chloe is more annoying than ever, I was very disappointed to hear she was coming back, she has the acting potential of a lemon.<br/><br/>The tech talk is back in full swing, leaving anyone with even a modicum of computer savvy embarrassed to listen to.<br/><br/>The good news, I suppose, is its more of the same, if you enjoyed the old 24 you basically have it back (albeit half the episodes) and if you don&#39;t take it too seriously it&#39;ll be an enjoyable show to watch, certainly one of the better ones floating around at the moment.

Mostly, no. There were rumors that the real-time format of the series had been abandoned, in favor of a 12-hour format that would be a condensed version of a 24-hour day. However, the bulk of the series is still in real-time, with every 1-hour episode depicting an hour within the series. <br/><br/>It is only in the final episode, 10 minutes before the end, that there is a flash-forward of 12 hours. As a result, the series starts at 11:00 AM, and ends at 11:00 AM the next day. It still encompasses 24 hours, but skips one block of 12 hours within it.
