- Mitch Dragontongue: Excuse me, Yokai.
- Mitch Dragontongue: You wouldn't happen to know Andruiel would
- The voice of man beckoned the attention of a migrating Gigai, herding his share of Yokai through the Deadlands for signs of campsites to raid.. Though, his searches were in vain. All that came to his attention were that of rotting cadavers and posted corpses, pinned by hammer and nail to trees about: Robbed, ensnared, and outright brutalized by what one could assume to be the Bulwark military of Alteros.
- Vermillion beads shown the reflection of a mere humanoid nearby, speaking out to the passing wall of graymatter--
- The very sighting of such a personage, invoked the hatred that was so valiantly expressed time and time again, this time, presented unto Mitch directly.
- The boom of a voice through the telepathic channel craned into his skull, cacophonous static embellished every cringing sway of his tone and volume, forcefully connecting the open-mentality of the beast with the closed mind of the human, birthing words past maws that refused to match them-- Riddled with an echoing effect in his tone.
- "I don't know, nor care for anything you request of me, human-scum."He made his feelings towards the alleged ilk rather clear in a single statement, or so he hoped it so.
- "...I've been searching for one of your sort for a while now..." He commented, completely halted of his search, pivoting his gargantuan statue over towards Mitch's location. "Tell me, what camp are you from... Where are the other humans you parted from..." Growling maws spawned a translucent saliva to pool at the exposed gums, flickering lips complemented the rumbling undertone originating from his gullet.
- A stygian mass of congealed essence, manifesting his true hatred in the form of the Stygian artistry he had learned adequete proficiency within. Though, it was not entirely conjured, the presence could be felt-- Albeit, his kind capable of resisting the warping effects of Occultism upon the psyche, depravity seeped from his form.
- (Xerves)
- Mitch stood before the Yokai looking through his mask. He wasn't sure if the yokai was angered at him or something else but he was late for the meeting he was supposed to attend. Nymus had beckond him and something had come up but now he was on his way to see what was needed of him.
- Furrowing a brow beneath his mask Mitch would nod his head in a respectful mannor to the Giga.
- " I meant you no disrespect. I'm only late for a meeting. If you don't know then I should really be on my way. But I hail from the North. Though I did see a stray caravan in the Trystal Caves, none of them were armed as much as I could tell. "
- His voice seemed calm and not agressive. Mitch really had no dislike of Yokai, to him they were normal beings just as everyone .. just under went their progression differently. Casting his gaze to the left he reached his hand up and adjusted his mask before looking back to the Yokai.
- " Sorry to have bothered you but duty calls. "
- Turning he went to leave.
- (Mitch Dragontongue)
- The humanoid may've turned to make his leave, claiming to mean no disrespect. Though, his perception of Yokai may not have been tainted, Xerves' perspective of humans was ruined long ago. With every day that passed, it was further tainted, leaving him with reason to transcend into the will to approach, to cripple what few formalities sustain for blatant aggression.
- "Disrespect is but a joke... I care not for your duties nor meetings, human." He took a step forth, allowing the earth to quake beneath his pronged toes, snarling teeth threatened Mitch with intent to carry out hostilities.
- "Your kind has proven to be naught but sinners against the Yokai kind that roam these lands, day in and day out, for centuries... It ends with me. I will see to it, your sort learn of the hierarchy to be erected!" Another step quaked the earth, but this time, to fixate him into a stance, nigh prepared for an outright charge.
- But it was then, that Mitch stated his need to depart...
- There was no greater insult to the beast than one whom did not heed his might! To him, he fabricated the infuriating memories of Ciara, taunting him with her capabilities that brought her to test his limitations, humiliating him where he lacked, and leaving him to stumble where he believed himself to be at his peak.
- To him, he percieved this as yet another rejection to his dream...
- A dream he was willing to see through to the bitter-end!
- "Do not turn your back on me!" He exclaimed, the succession of booms spawned beads of muddied soil to rain unto those caught in the rapidly encroaching proximity of the Yokai-- Standing at 15 feet at full height, a humanoid and rather stereotypical monster seemed hellbent on enforcing vengence unto this man...
- But for what true cause? Did Mitch provoke him with his words somehow?
- "There is no apology that sums to the many that suffered at blade's end to your ilk!"
- (Xerves)
- Mitch was just about to leave before he felt the ground beneath him begin to quake. The beast spoke to him again and this time it seemed he was set on having a fight. The pure blood was set on wanting to go but the Yokai was insistant on a fight it seemed.
- Turning around Mitch would explode in a massive amount of Nova energy. The powerful dark orange aura would emite an intence heat, one that burnt the ground beneath him and a decent area around him. Not soon after his Half Shift formed from his body allowing him to flex his massive wings.
- " I didn't want to fight you Yokai. But I suppose I could. "
- Grasping the hilt of Dragontongue he brought his family blade forth and held it at his side. A moment later Mitch dashed forward in a blue of dark orange tracers on the outskirts of one's gaze.
- (Mitch Dragontongue)
- Shortly behind Xerves was a small legion of Yokai, all of which storming in for a piece of their own in the action to unfold. Every follicle of flesh, hair and bone of this human was up for grabs-- Absorption was an idea that permeated through the leader's mind, but only to further his goals for ascension to unviel a prohibited dream of conquest.
- The Dragontongue pureblood before him took grasp of a weapon, unsheathing it-- Reason enough to prove no mercy from his stature, though, such an idea was laughable at this point. There was no chance of mercy being granted by this infuriated beast;
- Xerves' right arm ascended, casting a shadow over the Drakanite, descending to stretch talons out for their presumed unprepared advarsary. To him, this was but a man with a magical talent.. A talent to flare magics for unique visualization, but not one that he felt reason to fear. The fear that left Yokai to stray from mankind did not reside within this being...
- Instead, what lied was aggression, hostility... Fury. Rather than take flight, he'd fight when the moment proved best.
- "Underlings! Swarm him!" He commanded, closing the distance to relinquish his battlelust in conflict.
- (Xerves)
- First the swarm of lesser yokai than the Giga would make their way at Mitch. An easy obstical that the pure blood took care of swiftly.
- As he went on it was a dark orange blur that dashed around the battle field leaving little time for following. Eventually and one by one the lesser yokai of Xerves hoard were taken care of. One was kicked into a tree, another was found face first in the dirt and the third was being held in Mitch's free hand by it's skull.
- Standing infront of the Giga Yokai the pure blood's mind began to twist as the effects of Greed took on him. For a moment he stood before launching the Yokai's unconcious body to the side. Lowering his blade he rolled his fingers over Dragontongue's hilt. The ancient chimes were echoing in Mitch's mind as he stood before the obviously taller being.
- Beneath his mask would lay a wicked smile, one that would bring a chill to most. It was like that of a man so deep into his own greed that he saw nothing more than his prize at the end. But as he said before Mitch had no dislike of Yokai.
- Flexing his massive dark orange and off red wings he rocketed forward and flew directly at the Giga. He brought Dragontongue up and looked as if he were to take a killing blow but just as he swung his body vanished from sight. A second, if that even, later the pure blood appeared behind Xerves and delivered a massive Nova charged kick to the back or his head. The force was likely enough to send him crashing forward and be down for the count.
- " Like I said before Yokai. I have no dislike for you or your kind. I'll be on my way now. "
- With that said he turned and flew into the sky and away from the battle scene leaving all of the yokai there alive.
- (Mitch Dragontongue)
- Yokai laid everywhere, devastated by Mitch's retaliation, though... Surprisingly, as strong as the magi was, and as overwhelming as his might had proven- Not a single casualty! It was an amazing surprise to one such as Xerves, though he wasn't entirely aware of such as he witnessed their rapid defeat until the final three. The Drakanite bee-lined for the Gigai directly, leaving the two to charge in for the final clash...
- Though, it was the rise of the Dragontongue blade that spiked a familiar sense of dread from within, one repressed since his years spent in the lesser stage: Fear. Was this the end? He had grown fatigued, incapable of pulling off the feat of evading the strike that rapidly encroached his vulnerable state. The seconds slown down to furfill a nigh eternity in this moment of terror, witnessing the prelude of what could very well be the end to a saga he truly believed to be his beginning. A beginning in which revolution was to ensue... A beginning in which-
- The blade's slash spawned but a muddied blue of the facade once charging towards him, leaving time to rivet back to normal. Reality had prevailed once again, allowing Xerves the liberty of flinching to the former charge, backpedalling even-- Though, it was but merely the calm before the storm, the epilogue had only begun.
- A pressure unlike any other enacted impact great enough to bulge past the flesh and erect a distortion of the physique to protrude from his form out of sheer inertia implanted into his body. The flux of bass bombarded the atmosphere with a mild shockwave, ruffling even the soddened grasses. Breath escaped pried maws, and a backward arching form was catapulted into the soil, uprooting it under the momentum surged through his flesh, crafting a crater in complement to his figure.
- He wasn't getting back up... Not for this fight, at least. The words of Mitch rung true to his ears, but he didn't care to acknowledge them. He could say all he wanted, but he would not effect the stubborn perception of the xenophobic beast. Slowly, he'd rise back up to his feet... But by now, he was long gone. The rest of the ilk arose to their feet, once dispatched, now angered.
- Yet again he felt the humiliation of defeat... Yet again, he failed to consume what was once before his very reach. He wasn't strong enough, overpowered as he was before.
