  1. [20:58] Angelo Sanguinis asks, "Has anyone seen Rose?"
  2. [20:59] Rose Valiant says, "I am here, yes."
  3. [20:59] Venus says, "Nima."
  4. [20:59] Venus asks, "Are you still in the school?"
  5. [20:59] Angelo Sanguinis exclaims, "Great. I was looking for you!"
  6. [20:59] Rose Valiant asks, "Ah?"
  7. [20:59] Nima Hatayer says, "I am."
  8. [20:59] Ovan Huitzilopochtli says, "Hey, Nima."
  9. [20:59] Nima Hatayer says, "Hello Ovan."
  10. [20:59] Angelo Sanguinis whispers: We need lessons about Order and Chaos. Simple stuff.
  11. [20:59] Venus asks, "For how much longer?"
  12. [20:59] Ovan Huitzilopochtli says, "Your hair looks great today."
  13. [21:00] Nima Hatayer says, "For.. As long as I see the Academy as useful."
  14. [21:00] Nima Hatayer asks, "And thanks, Ovan?"
  15. [21:00] Venus says, "Be careful.."
  16. [21:00] Nima Hatayer says, "I am being very careful.. Thanks for worrying though."
  17. [21:01] Oh fuck yes.
  18.
  19. Her hands clasp together excitedly, loudly clapping together. She smiles brightly.
  20.
  21. "Of course!" Rose exclaimed. "Would you be fine if everyone else accompanied us, young Angelo?"
  22. (Rose Valiant)
  23. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  24.
  25. [21:01] Angelo Sanguinis says, "Uhhhhh..."
  26. [21:01] Angelo coughs.
  27. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  28. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  29.
  30. [21:01] Angelo Sanguinis asks, "No?"
  31. [21:01] Angelo Sanguinis whispers: Everyone is a chaos magi! We never know.
  32. [21:01] Rose Valiant says, "..."
  33. [21:01] Rose Valiant says, "Ovan."
  34. [21:01] Venus asks, "Uhh..?"
  35. [21:01] Rose Valiant asks, "Are you a Chaos magi?"
  36. [21:01] Angelo Sanguinis says, "Rude."
  37. [21:01] Ovan Huitzilopochtli asks, "... Huh?"
  38. [21:01] Nima Hatayer says, "Woah.."
  39. [21:01] Nima Hatayer says, "That was just. Wrong."
  40. [21:01] Nima Hatayer says, "Look at Angelo, miss."
  41. [21:02] Nima Hatayer says, "And now at Ovan."
  42. [21:02] Nima Hatayer asks, "Do they look evil?"
  43. [21:02] Rose Valiant says, "The pinnacle of evilness."
  44. [21:02] Rose Valiant says, "Worse than Tragedy."
  45. [21:02] Nima Hatayer says, "..."
  46. [21:02] Ovan Huitzilopochtli says, "You know I'm studying to learn the ways of Order. I'm kinda shaken that you'd ask me tha-----"
  47. [21:02] Venus says, "She's actually right."
  48. [21:02] Ovan Huitzilopochtli says, "I'm moving to Crafthold."
  49. [21:02] Venus says, "Ovan is the worst."
  50. [21:03] Nima Hatayer says, "I am going with you, Ovan."
  51. [21:03] Ovan Huitzilopochtli says, "Right? Wanting to hold your hand and look up at the stars after cooking you dinner. I'm rotten at my core, Ve'."
  52. [21:03] Rose Valiant says, "If you mix up the letters in Ovan Huitzilopochtli, you get I Am Tizoc."
  53. [21:03] Ovan wheezes and then nods to Nima. "I'll be packed in a bit."
  54. (Ovan Huitzilopochtli)
  55. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  56.
  57. [21:04] Angelo Sanguinis asks, "You do realize I have no idea who the other people are since I can't see them, right?"
  58. [21:04] Nima looks at Venus. Then Ovan. Then Venus. Then to their hands.
  59. (Nima Hatayer)
  60. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  61.
  62. [21:04] Rose Valiant says, "Yes..."
  63. [21:04] Nima Hatayer asks, "Are you both a couple and I didn't know for this whole time?"
  64. [21:04] Rose Valiant says, "I am just jesting, Angelo."
  65. [21:04] Rose Valiant says, "The ones around here are not Chaos magi. I know, for they strive for Order."
  66. [21:04] Venus says, "..."
  67. [21:04] Venus says, "N-No.."
  68. [21:05] Nima Hatayer says, "Everyone having girlfriends and such, and here I sit making my notes."
  69. [21:05] Rose Valiant asks, "Nima, do you live around here?"
  70. [21:05] Rose looks at Nima.
  71. (Rose Valiant)
  72. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  73.
  74. [21:05] Angelo Sanguinis says, "Looking at the stars seems promising! They're like... White speckles of li--"
  75. [21:05] Rose Valiant says, "Every man I've loved has died."
  76. [21:05] Angelo Sanguinis exclaims, "He lives just around the corner!"
  77. [21:05] Angelo points at the wrong corner.
  78. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  79. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  80.
  81. [21:05] Nima points to the house behind Angelo.
  82. (Nima Hatayer)
  83. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  84.
  85. [21:05] Angelo points the other fucking way around.
  86. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  87. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  88.
  89. [21:05] Venus says, "Nima's sitting against my house.. when his is right there."
  90. [21:05] Rose Valiant says, "Ah! I can explain Order and Chaos to you in there, Angelo."
  91. [21:06] Angelo Sanguinis exclaims, "Thank you!"
  92. [21:06] Rose Valiant says, "If anyone else would like to come along, you are more than welcome."
  93. [21:06] Rose takes Angelo by his pointed hand.
  94. (Rose Valiant)
  95. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  96.
  97. [21:06] Angelo Sanguinis says, "I want an unbiased view, though."
  98. [21:06] Angelo Sanguinis exclaims, "Bias helps no one!"
  99. [21:06] Venus says, "Come to my house Rose."
  100. [21:06] Angelo blush, onegai.
  101. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  102. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  103.
  104. [21:06] Rose Valiant asks, "Your house?"
  105. [21:06] Venus asks, "I do not even have a bed in there, if it cannot be used for meetings.. what is the point?"
  106. [21:06] Venus says, "Here."
  107. [21:06] Venus says, "Adsila didn't give me a bed so I sleep in the infirmary.."
  108.
  109. [21:11] Sitting upon the velvet chair, her hands rested upon her lap. Rose smiled at the group, golden gaze studying their expressions in earnest. This was her specialty, after all, and to begin to spread it onto others was the main goal of her residency in Ezmara.
  110.
  111. "To define Order and Chaos, you cannot think of it as... well, Law and Anarchy, but Selflessness and Selfishness." The Elsyrean began. "To be an Order magi is to have utmost empathy for others and to fuel your magic by the desire to protect them. To be a Chaos magi is to fuel your own whims and make the world bend by force, tearing it apart with your volatile emotions until you feel nothing but hatred.
  112.
  113. Both are self-destructive, but for different ways. Order magi tend to die for their people, to live tragedies in order to make others happy. Chaos magi, however, in the pursuit of their own selfish wants, end up destroying all of those around them-- and then going in a blaze of glory, or whittling themselves dry."
  114. (Rose Valiant)
  115. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  116.
  117. [21:17] Angelo keeps listening. He stares forwards, his light blue irises focusing upon the wall of Venus' house. And then, raising one hand, he gestures around as a simple thrum of the earth comes, washing at the room wholly, and then, he points at his back, towards Nima.
  118.
  119. "What did they teach at the academy, Nima? I need to know." His voice was filled with curiosity. The eager desire to learn more -- After all, all he heard about Chaos and Order was still put in the words of Ishmael, who had given him a relatively neutral vision, to be all fair.
  120.
  121. "I am sorry, Rose. It's just... A matter of knowing what's truly right! We all know that people are often biased to their own sides. It happens, and it's not on purpose!" He smiles, right hand finally landing upon the table, atop Rose's hand.
  122. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  123. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  124.
  125. [21:19] Nima rested with his back by a bookshelf, his notebook in hands as he tried to find an open page. This specific notebook was filled with information, which made it quite hard to find an empty spot to his notes- As the nerd he is, this was quite normal to happen.
  126.
  127. And then.. Rose's explanation started, as so did his notes. For the most part, her explanation was pretty much similar to Ishmael's, but less biased. The teacher did mention about Chaos Magi being driven by their sins in order to achieve power, as they would bend the lifestream for it to follow their will.
  128.
  129. "That's pretty much what Ishmael said, Angelo. At least the chaos part, to an extent. He mentioned that Chaos Magi are led by sin and to bend life to their own desires. It.. Checks to what he said."
  130.
  131. It only made sense that Order would be the opposite, being an instrument for the lifestream, to its will. As one were for selfish goals led by sin, the other was about sacrifice and virtues. A rather interesting concept, as the latter did sound much more interesting to Nima.
  132.
  133. "So.. If both lead to destruction in the end- Being it self destruction or the destruction of others. Does it mean that, in reality, both of them need to co-exist? To bring balance, that is."
  134.
  135. He didn't stop writing for the whole time, including while he was asking the question. Multitasking, as always.
  136. (Nima Hatayer)
  137. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  138.
  139. [21:24]
  140. {LOAD GAME}
  141.
  142. [21:29] Ovan arrives in the house a bit after the others, one chunk of wood lighter than he had been outside just moments earlier.
  143.
  144. Odds were, he had already heard enough about the basics of Order and Chaos, but an opportunity to learn and refresh on several of the key concepts of ideals could only be beneficial for him.
  145.
  146. After walking in quietly, he takes a seat across from Angelo and waits for Rose's next set of words to be offered to them.
  147. (Ovan Huitzilopochtli)
  148. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  149.
  150. [21:34] "Mmm..." She paused. "I do not mind casual observation into things we do not know about. Asking about Chaos is not bad, but to actively seek to harness its power is wrong. Some things are not meant to be known."
  151.
  152. With Angelo's apology taken care of, it was now time for Rose to answer the difficult question. Was Order and Chaos meant to balance one another, to always exist, or did one have the right over the other? Her brows knitted together and lines formed upon her forehead, hands clasped tightly upon her lap.
  153.
  154. "I do not know the answer to the question of Order and Chaos, but I can tell you what I theorize. Order and Chaos are tapping into the same force-- the Arcane, the Lifestream which holds our world together. It is where our souls go after being purified in the stars, after all. But... while Order allowing it to be bestowed upon you, Chaos is forcing it into your body.
  155.
  156. So is there a requirement for balance between two forcesthat are the same? I do not think so. For example, you can kill a boar with a clear shot through the eye or torture it to death with a thousand cuts. Both will get you the same result, but one is merciful and just while the other is sadistic and self indulgent."
  157.
  158. (Rose Valiant)
  159. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  160.
  161. [21:42] Venus' nose wrinkles up at the words Rose had to say about the different ways to kill a boar, both ended in the animals death but to her there is more to it than just the method, but the reason why.
  162.
  163. "The boar should be spared unless you are hungry, or you are cold and in need of the leather." She says, to kill the boar without reason would be nothing more than murder, nothing should go to waste when a life is lost.
  164.
  165. "The reason is just as important as the 'how'."
  166. (Venus)
  167. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  168.
  169. [21:42] The notes slowing down as he heard Rose's explanation once again. He was very interested in that, but.. He didn't think that he should write about it. But why?
  170.
  171. Nima was now seeing that with other eyes, he didn't see that as a subject of study and such. It.. Seemed important, too important for him to not pay full attention to it. Eventually, the boy stopped, closing his notebook and keeping his eyes to Rose.
  172.
  173. "So.. They are two forces that colide, due to their different ways, even if they gather the same sort of power from the Lifestream. It's.. Like how you can use a tool to achieve a goal, but with different forms of using it. Right?"
  174.
  175. He still thought that they should work together in a way to achieve balance, but.. Wasn't the world a bit too chaotic right now? Sin all over the place, Demons achieving more and more power, conquering an entire continent to themselves. Wasn't it a bad thing? Wasn't it lack of Order, and far too much Chaos?
  176.
  177. "Isn't there a way to bring balance back? Things clearly are.. Not as they are supposed to be. Right? I mean, I have met several Chaos Magi in this short time that I have been to Agartha, but you are the first Order Magi I even heard of."
  178.
  179. His tone seemed... Melancholic, sad in a way. He remembers on how he was the only student other than Zio to offer help to an injured student, while all others simply watched and didn't even say a thing, or offered a hand to carry the boy. He wasn't sure if this was related, but..
  180.
  181. This world sure seemed far too selfish.
  182. (Nima Hatayer)
  183. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  184.
  185. [21:47] He rose a single hand towards his chin, deep in thought. Even as Ovan sat right in front of him, the blind boy took no notice -- He was far too focused on the lesson at hand to try and say something for himself, or at least for the moment.
  186.
  187. "An unbiased view, at last?" He thought, for the briefest moments. Nima's observation was one which he saw complete sense. They were meant to balance each other out, or perhaps not. The answer was, unsurprisingly, that no, they didn't. In the end, there it was: What he sought to avoid, where they put themselves above the others.
  188.
  189. But it made sense. He rubbed his own chin, still deep in thought, mouth twitching slightly as he decided to give himself the opportunity to delve a bit deeper. The black image in front of him was, after all, something which allowed him to focus when everyone else was silent -- And he could always focus on these moments.
  190.
  191. These brief moments were all that he needed, for now. Order was tapping into the Arcane, but in a way to make the world good, to make the world itself live through and continue what it is.
  192.
  193. He is reminded of the conversation earlier with Eiphraem -- Where he said that his only goal was to keep living. Without the lifestream? He'd certainly be gone, he knew that from the few and sparse knowledge that was displayed to him on his growing days.
  194.
  195. "So, the only reason someone would go Chaos is because of power? Because they want power?" He said, quirking an eyebrow. His right hand once again lowered down onto the table, head moving as to face in the general direction of Rose. Of course, he couldn't see her -- But whatever impression of eye contact he could maintain, was good enough of a result for him. At least, if she had such impression.
  196.
  197. Upon hearing of Nima's words, he shook his head, slightly sad. "I know for afact that there are a lot of people who seem to be gone. This isn't the correct place to talk about this, though. We're here for a lesson, not to talk politics, I believe." And for what would be perhaps the first -- or the second -- time that Nima (and all those in the room) managed to see Angelo speaking with a rather somber tone.
  198. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  199. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  200.
  201. [21:51] The Elsyrean chuckled at Venus' response. Oh, how she could go into detail about the Virtues of Justice and Mercy-- yet the only thing she would say for now is a quick remark.
  202.
  203. "Ah, yes, but it was just an example. Another time, I should show you the path I walk, Venus. I think you'd find it rather interesting to see." Another time, another place. Perhaps an invitation to a private lesson?
  204.
  205. "Order is severely lacking, yes. But it is not the drive to see the world bathed in the white purity of it that makes me continue on, young one. It is the fact that the world is shifting from grey to black as a whole.
  206.
  207. If everyone was a Chaos magi, if everyone with power only sought it to further their own goals, lacked compassion and understanding--
  208.
  209. what will become of the world?"
  210.
  211. She shook her head, looking down. "That is my greatest fear. I do not expect everyone here to become Order magi, to wield Arcane and the Lifestream and dedicate their lives to being selfless. As long as you strive to do good, to understand everything, you will have made the world a better place."
  212. (Rose Valiant)
  213. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  214.
  215. [22:04] The young woman's eyebrow raised at the womans comment before narrowing slightly into a squint, her expression quickly relaxing shortly after. She just gives a nod of her head, "Right. I'd love too."
  216.
  217. The talk of balance is upsetting for Venus to hear, the fact is simple, order in this world is rare, Vindicia being the only place of such that Venus has come to learn of, perhaps Zheng but that was a sinking ship she could not board.
  218.
  219. "Order needs to spread, there is far too much chaos, far too many people doing whatever it is they want to too do.. Often waving around the word 'freedom' to do so." Freedom, it's simply another word to describe chaos in Venus' eyes.
  220.
  221. A mention of fears, there are many things Venus is afraid of, her worst fears though? They may be slightly too self absorbed. "My greatest fear is someone I know and love falling into chaos, a good friend lost in the darkness of their heart.. that's what I am most afraid of." she says with a fall of her eyes shut, her head briefly hanging.
  222.
  223. "But I have a great many fears.. especially for the fate of Agartha."
  224. (Venus)
  225. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  226.
  227. [22:10] "It's not.. Politics. It's more than that."
  228.
  229. Nima was rather quiet, listening to Rose. He had questions and she was answering them, but it wasn't about gathering knowledge and pass on tests this time around. He was actually interested on knowing about it, the one subject Ishmael refused to talk about- The one thing his mother died trying to protect.
  230.
  231. "So.. You think that this world is shifting to a dark shape, embraced by chaos?"
  232.
  233. If that was the case, it would fit Nima's thoughts about the subject already. The world was selfish, people wouldn't care for one another, and if they had some sort of disagreement? It would be even worse. Bei Bei, a Jianghuren from Pleur Academy suffered racism from other students, and while Nima wanted to help her, he didn't- He felt terrible about it, but he was able to forgive the boy who did so.
  234.
  235. 'Forgiveness, even to those who don't deserve it.'
  236.
  237. Thought Nima, sighing as he remembers the last notes of his mother. Was she so ahead than Nima on those thoughts? Perhaps, she was an Order Magi? Things were so confusing, but still! The teen was slowly setting up his mind to things. Slowly, he was understanding what all of this was about.
  238. (Nima Hatayer)
  239. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  240.
  241. [22:20] Angelo remained quiet for a couple more moments. He was able to think about it himself, even for the moments of stillness and silence that followed throughout the conversation.
  242.
  243. "There are many things that are going wrong. At least we can get ourselves to make the world a bit more bearable. Kind of like... A beacon in the darkness, eh?" He said, voice returning to a slightly more chipper tone. Of course, there was still the hint of sadness hidden underneath, for all the suffering in the world continued -- But this was not the place to discuss it.
  244.
  245. "It seems like... People are only attracted to power, though. I've heard about this before -- Even about people following the Order magis, like Ikkaku, due to their raw power. Apparently, they value that over everything else, and... That's the cause, isn't it?" He said, right hand tapping idly at the table, fingers making a constant rhythm as they hit sequentially upon the wood.
  246.
  247. "But still. You said that striving to do good, and to do no harm is something that would make the place better. I believe in that, but... Don't Chaos Magi think of themselves as saviors? Even through the description that Ishmael gave, I believe he still thought of the Chaos magi as saviors. As people bearing "truth", of some kind." He said, lips frowning slightly rightwards, the smile having faded shortly before he even opened his mouth to speak.
  248. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  249. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  250.
  251. [22:21] Venus says, "Be right back."
  252. [22:27] "Order should be spread, yes, or at least its tenets. The core of its values is pure, so even those who do not wish to follow the path would find themselves enlightened. Even those who do not bend the fabric to reality to their will in the art of Chaos will find themselves darkened by selfishness-- see Tizoc, whose hedonism has made him enemies of Gaiar, yet he wields no telepathic power."
  253.
  254. She sighed. This was all too much for Rose to handle and explain, still feeling like a young student herself despite being in her early thirties. Goldens briefly closed.
  255.
  256. "I have heard the truth that Gaiar has attempted to show. It is simple-- they believe that demons are the most deserving of power, and that they should wield it. That they will save the world by having it under their control, by killing the angels and putting themselves as leaders. Yet you know they lack compassion-- know they wield powers unholy. So... I do not think they would be 'saving' anyone from the Angels."
  257.
  258. The Elsyrean would open her eyes up, looking straight at Angelo. Not that he could tell, anyways.
  259.
  260. "Perhaps they believe that with the power in their hands, they can save the world. But their view on the world is twisted, believing that Virtues are curses and Sin is a blessing. I believe the opposite, and I know of this because of what the Angels have told the Elsyreans. They said that Sins are doomed to spend an eternity in the stars, burning their depraved souls in an attempt to purify something too corrupted.
  261.
  262. Yet it is the Angels who... blessed Ikkaku with Justice. If they are unholy, if they deserve death to be replaced by Archons, what does that make Ikkaku?"
  263. (Rose Valiant)
  264. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  265.
  266. [22:37] "The stars are the result of the souls? They are purified there?" He asks, quirking an eyebrow, the wood hitting of his fingers not stopping beyond a few seconds, in which he takes the precious times to think, looking up. Even if the stars aren't immediately visible, little did he care about a roof above him. It was all pitch-black, either way.
  267.
  268. "Angels are beings of purity, aren't they? Someone said that to me once. I'm a bit... Too confused. I rarely heard anything of religions, and mostly about the Archon worships of Ishmael. Specially Illaron! He looks like a smart guy -- Why would he be a bad choice?" The blind boy inquires, even if his voice is filled with an impossible amount of innocence. Perhaps this was just the raw reality of it -- It was hard to understand how the world was bent, when all he knew was that it was like this since the day he was born.
  269.
  270. Not that he could see most things. Everything that went around him, was usually unknown. Such is the burden of not being born blind, but to have to adapt to it throughout the various years. Senses heighten, but not that much.
  271.
  272. He knew, however, that there was something wrong. Head shaken slightly, a sigh came forth, accompanied by a mumble shortly after. "I think... I just need an answer, Rose. And I want you to be honest."
  273.
  274. Like that, he turned towards her. Whole body, not only his head, the clear blue irises accompanying every movement. "Why? Why do you think people don't follow Order? Are there no Order magi teaching people?"
  275. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  276. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  277.
  278. [22:43] Demons, vile creatures which Venus will never be capable of trusting no matter what sort of act they put on to fool the humans around them, to manipulate them.
  279.
  280. "The demon's are manipulators, they are controlling people by putting on a mask, by pretending to be friendly.. by offering assistance." The woman raises her left arm up, mechanical in nature and made of mythril. "Eiphraem attached this prosthetic in an effort to fool me into trusting him.. into believing his only motive is good will." A shake of her head, "I'm most worried for the people that buy into the acts of the Archon's."
  281.
  282. The woman spoke of the virtues and the sins, something that she did not truly know indepth of, how punishing the curse of sin is on those striken by it, an eternity burning in the stars as punishment, it is something that immediately twists the womans stomach up into knots.
  283.
  284. "That's so cruel.. such a terrible curse those afflicted by sin are forced to suffer. Is there any way to save them? What can be done for someone that has been lost to sin?" Killing them cannot be the answer, if it curses them to an eternity of suffering she cannot possibly ever wish death upon someone afflicted by sin.
  285.
  286. "I've never once thought of any of the virtues to be a curse.. I only fear someone may follow a single virtue blindly, justice specifically. Wisdom, mercy and justice, you must practice all three, blind devotion to a single virtue I believe can lead you astray."
  287. (Venus)
  288. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  289.
  290. [22:51] Two questions for Rose to answer, one far easier than the other. So, that would be the one addressed first-- the woman's gaze now upon Venus with a slight smile.
  291.
  292. "In the living world, it is possible to cure a Sin. Purification is an art form closely linked with Order magi, capable of removing curses placed upon people. This includes Sin-- but it only works if they are willing, and if you go to the core of the issue.
  293.
  294. For example, capturing Pasis and forcibly using Arcane magic to purify him would not work. It would require words and time, rehabilitation. That is the best possible solution for a Sin magi. Not death, but redemption." Her grin widened, the idea of bringing the Atl chieftain back to the light filling her with pure joy. Sadly... Rose had a feeling it would never come to fruition.
  295.
  296. "As for the answer of Order magi, it is twofold. One, Arcane itself is difficult. Even Chaos magi, who only need to focus on their own desires that come naturally to them, must practice meditation and understand the fabric of the world that drapes around us. In addition to the physical difficulty, the mental difficulty of being 'selfless'-- of putting needs of others above your own, of saving others who need it even when it is difficult-- of being consistently courageous and kind-- is a true challenge.
  297.
  298. Second, Gaiar has ensured that anyone who practices the value of Order has been stamped out-- the late Archon Tragedy having put a bounty on Order magi. Anyone who follows those tenets has been hunted down and killed. Cassius, for example, fell during the war for Ardent, as well as the reformed Wrath Sin Kayn Erudon. Though they were not Order, their values aligned with those who did-- and that puts fear into anyone who wishes to learn of it.
  299.
  300. That leaves just me, Suha, and Ikkaku as the ones who have connecting to the Arcane. Others practice the ideals of Order-- Sonce, for example-- but to find a proper teacher is nearly impossible due to rarity of Arcane and Order."
  301. (Rose Valiant)
  302. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  303.
  304. [23:05] "Pasis?"
  305.
  306. Venus had no idea that the Chieftain was a man that has fallen to sin, but given his origins within Atl it can't be taken as too much of a surprise, it's one of the reasons why she wishes that Jin was not apart of such a tribe, they do not seem like the right type of people to associate with.
  307.
  308. "I had no idea that Pasis was someone that fell into sin.. I couldn't see any signs of that in the time I spent with him." Their first meeting was one hell of an introduction to Pasis, the first ever surgery she performed and without the use of magic as a result of the mans affinity toward the occult, it was a tedious task to say the least.
  309.
  310. "I am glad that a cure is possible.. I fear that with the terms requied to be successful though.. that it will be an incredius arduous task to accomplish, swaying somebodies mind is already hard enough, doing it while a magic influence taints their mind? Eygh.."
  311.
  312. Gaiar, a country of demon's, it's influence has tainted the land for so long, it does everything in it's power to put out the light that will lead the way to a better tomorrow. Venus' eyes shut tight, she leans forward, the brim of her hat hides her visage and her hands clenched tight. The woman's form appeared to tremble for the briefest of moments before relaxing.
  313.
  314. "Will you help us then, Rose? Will you teach us how to connect with the Arcane?" Green eyes raise up staring at the woman across the table from her, a determined flame reflected in her gaze.
  315. (Venus)
  316. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  317.
  318. [23:20] A smile was brought to his face upon the last words of Venus. He looked towards her, and with the wooden rod standing between both of his thighs, held it tight with both hands.
  319.
  320. "I think you're being a bit too hasty! It's not that simple, as she just said. Meditation, eh?" He said, although still facing forwards, the sight unaffected by whatever Ovan decided to do right in front of him. Of course, the man did pretty much nothing -- He was as good as asleep at the last few moments of the conversation.
  321.
  322. "You say, however, that the ideals of Order are ones that should be kept to us, then? That should guide? Or is the meditation important to actually being an Order magi?" He said. It was a sincere question, one that he intended to ask and, in the near future, perhaps practice on it. But he needed more information, above anything. He did not want to see his own imagery turned into something evil for those who he valued and nurtured.
  323.
  324. However, there was a lasting impression. He would, and should, follow such a path. It seems the best choice to him, at least for a long while. He knew that protecting people was a good thing, but he still yearned to ask more and more questions, but those were perhaps better to see in a later occasion. In private, more likely -- These kind of classes rarely enabled him to allow the special attention he felt was needed for such cases.
  325.
  326. But specially, there was one thing which his attention was focused on, even if momentarily: The wonder of the stars. If they were really where the souls were purified, after going through the lifestream... Perhaps he should take a look on such. To learn more about them, would be to learn more about it all.
  327. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  328. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  329.
  330. [23:30] She chuckled, hand raising to cup her chin. How interesting... Venus' devotion reminded it of her own when she was around that age, while the practicality of the blind boy brought memories of another. Leaning back in the seat, Rose nodded.
  331.
  332. "Angelo is right. The first step to understanding the Arcane is not something I can teach you, per say. I can tell you of it, can guide you along, but it is not something that can be strictly passed orally."
  333.
  334. Gilded eyes closed, her body relaxing. Silence filled the room for a few moments. It was as if Rose was demonstrating meditation herself, practicing it before explaining further.
  335.
  336. "Find a place in which you are most connected to the world. For a Huitzilopochtli, it would be where the sun's rays touch them the best. For myself, a Krausite, it is in the holy halls of a Church. Those who connect with the spirits find it better in a graveyard, while someone morally just but lacking devotion to a higher being may find it better at a waterfall.
  337.
  338. Any way you go, you must sit down, get comfortable, and close your eyes. Focus on the world around you, on the sights and sounds and smells and tastes of everything that is not you. To feel the world, to leave the boundaries of your body..."
  339.
  340. Another chuckle. "Perhaps that is why they consider Chaos freedom, for the Arcane itself is like the wind-- boundless. Yet there is a freedom in Order, of allowing others to live their lives without fear."
  341. (Rose Valiant)
  342. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  343.
  344. [23:41] Nima was quiet for the time being, focused on Angelo and Rose speaking about Order and such, more specifically on the meditation part of it. He scratched his chin, thoughtful on the subject. To understand the Arcane, you had to do such.. To better understand yourself and the world surrounding you.
  345.
  346. "A place where I can feel connected to the world.."
  347.
  348. He already knew the place, it wasn't needed much for him to realize where it was. From the notes of his mother, he knew that there was very specific place with a very specific lake, that he would manage to meditate.
  349. (Nima Hatayer)
  350. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  351.
  352. [23:41] Ovan looks up from his studies for the first time in a while after listening to just about every word that had been said but actually commenting on very little. It isn't until Rose mentions the first step of tapping into the Arcane that the magi looks up from Suha's annotated version of The White Testament and opts to speak.
  353.
  354. "Speaking of, are we still up for the idea of meditation practice soon, Lady Rose? If the mountains of the Huitzilopochtli are unsafe currently due to those that inhibit it, perhaps we could visit another place with mountains or even a well built tower. I've been told recently that the closer you are to the Sun in our religion for your meditation, the better.
  355.
  356. So perhaps settling for the second best place for now would not be such a bad thing."
  357.
  358. He offers a smile, now thinking about how lame he must have seemed for even considering going to another location just because of Tizoc. He and his friends had grown a lot since they last fought him, and truth be told? The boy was no longer afraid. But the fact still remained that Rose's safety came first, and heading up to that mountain with such dangers awaiting them would be and unnecessary risk on her part.
  359. (Ovan Huitzilopochtli)
  360. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  361.
  362. [23:50] A squint of the womans eyes looking between the blind boy and the woman across from her. Meditation ws the first key to accessing the arcane it seems, taking a moment to relax and feel the world. It's honestly something that she has never done before, infact she's rarely able to sit still for very long. She always has a need tugging on her to be productive.
  363.
  364. "We don't have a church for Kraus here.." She says with a light frown, "We should build one, soon at that.." There's so many things that they need, "But more homes should come first, people have been living with Velvet I think because they don't have their own home.." A sigh pushes out past her lips and she softly shakes her head, "But a church is just a building, just because one is built does not mean that will be a spiritual place... I'll find a place."
  365.
  366. A breath in and a sigh exhaled. Freedom was mentioned, the woman speaking of how it is something present on both sides, it made Venus' eyebrows knit together in thought. She could see where she was coming from, she doesn't wish to strip away someones freedom, she just wants to make sure and guide people to do good, to be the best that they can be.. Whenever she sees someone go down the path of Chaos how can she possibly resist the thought of stripping away their freedom to ensure they do no harm to others?
  367.
  368. A soft bite on her bottom lip and her eyes flit over to Ovan at the mention of meditation practice. "I've never meditated before.. I want to take part in that."
  369. (Venus)
  370. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  371.
  372. [23:57] A small scare. He had NO IDEA that Ovan was there. A shiver runs through his body momentarily, before he finally settles down, calmness ensuing all through the blind boy.
  373.
  374. "I think I've got a spot for me! Yes!" He said, chipper voice overtaking completely whatever somberness had taken care of his tone earlier before. For now, he was extremely happy with whatever results were had by this, so far...
  375.
  376. He knew what he had to do. Order? Not necessarily, but he goddamn loved the concept. Everything that it stood for, everything-- It all boiled down to something that Eiphraem had said earlier before to him. Perhaps the Demon was, in the end, something that helped him traversing a path so opposite to him, unknowingly.
  377.
  378. "I have to ask, Rose. Do you have any books on this? I'd love to give them to Nima, so we can study together in our free time." He said with a renewed smile.
  379. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  380. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  381.
  382. [00:01] "Of course, Ovan. If any of you wish to meditate or speak to me in private, I am more than happy to do so. A quieter one on one setting may be better to learn for your specific needs, but I just wished to, ah, get you all to understand the basis before you dove too far in."
  383.
  384. Her smile remained, but her hands unclasped. Rose was beginning to stand up, her departure imminent.
  385.
  386. "However, I am going to go ahead and rest for the day. I do suggest you try meditation, even if you make no progress in the realm of Arcane."
  387.
  388. A gilted gaze would be shifted towards Elin, pearly whites shining. It seemed as if the sun worshipper had missed a very long conversation.
  389.
  390. "And-- ah, yes, Angelo. Here." She dug into her bag, pulling out a poorly bound book. The last of her copied editions of The Path, with the original the only one left in her possession. Rose would have to talk to Adsila later about reprinting them...
  391.
  392. "Good luck to you all. Order binds us." And with that, she was off!
  393. (Rose Valiant)
  394. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  395.
  396. [00:02] Angelo Sanguinis exclaims, "Many thanks, Rose!"
  397. [00:02] Nima Hatayer says, "...What a talk."
  398. [00:02] Angelo Sanguinis says, "See, Nima. We've got a book now. I told you it'd work out."
