  1.
  2.
  3. -A suicidal Sindermann encounters Dorn in one of palaces gardens and asks him him if he is afraid. Dorn replies by saying he doesn't know. He describes what he is currently feeling to Sindermann. Sindermann points out that it's indeed fear and asks the Primarch what is afraid of. Dorn tells too many things. Everything but for now he is afraid of being afraid. Dorn asks Sindermann not to tell Roboute this.
  4.
  5.
  6.
  7. -Sindermann says he is glad that Dorn isn't thinking of escaping in the same way he was (suicide via falling). Dorn tells him he doubts that a 1000 meter fall would kill a Primarch.
  8.
  9.
  10.
  11. -Censorship is abhorrent to Dorn. It runs against he ideals of the society that they were building. Despite the fact that he utterly opposes everything that that woman Keller represents he would have defended her right of speech in better times . But now things have changed. Words are dangerous.
  12.
  13.
  14.
  15. -Since the siege began, the palace and the crest beneath it has shifted 8 centimetres west
  16.
  17.
  18.
  19. -Sanguinius considers Abaddon to be the greatest and finest of all the first captain. Before all of this. he was the ideal warrior among the legions.
  20.
  21.
  22.
  23. -Abaddon thinks that his mind might be equal to Perturabo in orchestrating warfare
  24.
  25.
  26.
  27. -Though Abaddon respected the artistry of Pert's genius, he frowned upon how detached it was. It was theory and practice side by side. Abaddon's way is practice and execution. If Pert would win it would be with a push of a button. Abaddon would get struck in it and win this war with a swing of a sword. After all, sword and guts won the wars of the Great Crusade and they should win this war too. Not theory and for that matter not Warp sorcery as well. This war is too much determined by the new methods. Abaddon trusted the old ways more.
  28.
  29.
  30.
  31. -Pert's is visibly in his element. As Abaddon puts it, he is as happy as a grox in shit (which means very happy). Watching Pert work increased Abaddon's awed respect for the Primarch. It became clear that no one can do it better. Abaddon took mental notes of Pert's plan to better learn from a master.
  32.
  33.
  34.
  35. - Sanguinius confronts a formation of titans (One Warlord and its three warhound escorts). He begins by stabbing one of the warhounds in the head and causing it some serious damage. The warlord reacts to protect its escort by targeting the Angelic Primarch with its weapons. The Primarch outraced the apocalyptic weapons of the watlords and soared up. He dragged his spear through the flank of the titan creating a ugly gash to its side and then he stabbed the titan in the back of its head. He pushed the spear deep into the base of the warlord's skull and held firm as the titan started booming snorting and choking noises from its warhorns as it began to shake and convulse. The titan fell apart and crumbled to the earth. Sanguinius flew down and stood at the side of his titanic kill and gazed at the three warhounds as they bathed him in their target seeking systems. The Primarch yelled "Try if you like. Shall we continue?". In unison, the warhound titans turned back and fled. Later some in the recounting of this event insisted that no way can a Primarch stand before the weapons of three god machines. The warhounds must have detected the approach of titan killing machines that were two minutes away. However, those who witnessed the event firsthand know for a fact that the titans fled the wrath of the Angel.
  36.
  37.
  38.
  39. -Dorn discovered a flaw in the Saturnine wall. A crack that Pert surely knows about and will use. If Saturnine falls, then the way to the inner palace would be clear. Pert would need to send a special elite force to take the crack. In order to buy time to fortify the flaw in Saturnine, a ruse-show needs to be enacted. Dorn decided that of all the crisis points, it's the Eternity's Wall port would be sacrificed to trick Per into thinking that the loyalists were ignorant of the flaw. Losing the port will allow the traitors to land more forces on the planet which would shorten the estimated holdout by four months. Furthermore, it would end any hope of evacuating the Emperor off of Terra. Since the Emperor doesn't want to leave Terra, It's the most affordable to lose. However, the redeployed Imperial forces that will defend the port will face certain destruction. Vigil Commander Jenetia Krole that acted as a null ward for this vital council volunteered to be part of this doomed defence. There would be daemons there and it's her duty to face them.
  40.
  41.
  42.
  43. -There is a dungeon building within the palace called the Blackstone. It's called that because it's partially made from Blackstone mined from Cadia. It served as the primary prison of the Imperial Palace.
  44.
  45.
  46.
  47. -Dorn asks Sindermann to create a group of remembrancers in order to record the history of the siege so there would be something to look forward after the war since this isn't the end. The symbol of this new Remembrancer order is "I" for interrogation because they have to run around and interview people to extract information and recorded it. They are authorised use force and coercion in these interviews. Not everything they record will be brought to light. Some of it will have to be buried.
  48.
  49.
  50.
  51. Note : I don't have to explain where this is going, do I?
  52.
  53.
  54.
  55. -Pert explains to Abaddon that when he was younger he lost 9 out of 10 wargames against Dorn. When Pert, in the times where they had brotherhood with each other, asked Dorn how was it possible Dorn told him of the technique of just giving it a rest. The immense data flow and analysis eventually become a burden and a distraction. If one takes a break even in the height of battle, he can regain his focus and clarity. Returning to the battle refreshed with a clear perspective that would reveal things previously hidden by flow of information and data. Dorn was glad to share this wisdom with his brother. Pert continues to follow this advice even now because even though Dorn is his hated enemy only a fool would ignore the advice of a brilliant man.
  56.
  57.
  58.
  59. -Abaddon pushes Pert toward the Saturnine plan. Abaddon manages to push the right buttons to get him to agree. Abaddon appeals to the glory of a clean victory. One divorced from the filth of the Warp. Marine vs marine. Clean and simple. No one would deny the immortal glory of Pert after that. Pert sees through Abaddon's true motives for wanting the attack. Abaddon has something to prove. He wants to win through a miliraty victory. To stand victorious as Abaddon the solider and not Abaddon the child of the Warp.
  60.
  61.
  62.
  63. -During the exchange, Abaddon triggers Pert's short fuse. Abaddon got grabbed by Pert, choked, had his face spat on, and then flung across the chambers. To his credit, Abaddon shrugged it off and kept talking to the Pert until he agreed. Once Pert was on board, Abaddon told him how he can through back-channels get Fulgrim to move in a way to support Saturnine plan.
  64.
  65.
  66.
  67. -Ahriman stands next to Mortarion waiting for the arrival of Magnus. Ahriman subtly goads Mortarion. This light teasing hides behind the absolute burning relish at what happened to Mortarion. He is now like a drunkard that after drowning himself in drink would preach temperance. Hypocrisy and shame made manifest this is Pale King now and Ahriman enjoyed every second of it. Horus was the manipulator, Russ was the tool. but it was Mortarion who was the instigator. The loudest and most self righteous critic that began the spark that burned Prospero. All the accusers of the Thousand Sons were punished and broken but Mortarion suffered a fate far worse than they. He couldn't even keep his principles. His strength meant nothing in the end. He submitted to the Warp and became one of them. Ahriman would savour Mortarion's suffering and shame forever.
  68.
  69.
  70.
  71. -Ahriman hears the voices of the daemons. He realises that they are gathering in the north. Among the daemon masses he recognised the voices and noises of plenty of named daemons.
  72.
  73.
  74.
  75. Note : Daemons well known in the fandom like Ka'bandha, N'kari, and Ku'Gath. Daemons that recently got introduced to the lore like Samus and Rotigus. Obscure daemons like Scabeiathrax and Amnaich
  76.
  77.
  78.
  79. -Magnus arrives and has a short conversation with Mortarion. Magnus tells the Pale King that he wants to bury the hatched with him. He wants him to know that he forgives him. Magnus says that they are both now what he hated. The pain that he must fear must be unbearable but in suffering he finds his strength. Mortarion's submission was not weakness. It's no shame. Magnus understands and bears no ill will towards him.
  80.
  81.
  82.
  83. -Mortarion took a moment to process this and whispered that he hates what he has become. Magnus responds by saying that he knows and that he feels no resentment towards Mortarion. Magnus steps closer to Mortarion and places his hand on Mortarion's shoulders. He tells the Pale King that he had his gifts longer and can show him how can he harness them. Magnus then uses his power to ease the pain of Mortarion.
  84.
  85.
  86.
  87. -Mortarion is puzzled by the kindness of Magnus. Magnus just simply says that there is one enemy now and it's the Lie-Father. Mortarion nods and departs to the battle. As Mortarion disappears into the distance, Ahriman and Magnus converse with each other. It appears that Magnus might not meant anything that he said to Mortarion since he plans just to use him and the rest of his brothers as tools to breach the walls and retake what was lost to him. He merely helped Mortarion to stop the pain from dulling his abilities.
  88.
  89.
  90.
  91. -One of the reasons why Loken refused to become one of Malcador's Grey's is because he fears having his psychic abilities awakened. He fears what it will cost him.
  92.
  93.
  94.
  95. -Abaddon decides to keep the Saturnine operation a secret from Horus since he Horus has a habit of dominating things. Stamping them with his mark and making improvements. In this situation, Horus meddling might kill the operation before it got off the ground.
  96.
  97.
  98.
  99. -Keeler got recruited as part of Sindermann's new group of Remembrancers. Since she can't leave the Blackstone Prison because she refuses to give up her faith, she can only interview her fellow inmates. The last person she interviewed was man named Basilio Fo. She read in his datafile that he is a biochemical engineer and his age is over 5000 years old. A fact that shocked her. He said that he used his bioscience to prolong his age. Now bereft of his studio and art, he is forced to age naturally which is miserable for him.
  100.
  101.
  102.
  103. -Basilio Fo assumes that Keeler is her to ask him of ways they can kill Horus. He is glad to share his knowledge. He has some suggestions. Not guaranteed but they have a decent chance of success based on the time when he nearly killed him.
  104.
  105.
  106.
  107. -Sanguinius psychic powers act up and he is projected into the minds of his brothers both traitors and loyal. Angron, Dorn, and finally Pert. Sanguinius is awed by the willpower and strength of Pert's mind. His unbreakable focus and genius at siege warfare. Sanguinius realises that of all his fallen brothers, Pert is the most dangerous especially in a siege, in this siege. He would rather face Horus up close than fight Pert at a distance. Because of this he is glad that Dorn was present on Terra. Only Dorn can match Pert.
  108.
  109.
  110.
  111. -Captain Zephon aka the Bringer of Sorrows dies defending Ceris Gonn one of Sindermann's historians. He heard a shell was coming and instinctively moved to protect her. He drew her close to his chest. Using his body to shield her from the blast. He died. She lived.
  112.
  113.
  114.
  115. -As the Khan was fighting a Death Guard assault Colossi Gate, the Death Guard ranks parted to allow 8 horrible massive figures to descend unto the field. Titanic Daemons each one of them not less than a warhound in size. At their sight, the Khan felt the icy grip of terror in his heart. From a distance, two figures watched this unfold. Mortarion who used his forces to draw out the enemy. Ahriman the sorcerer who summoned the daemons that will see their enemies broken.
  116.
  117.
  118.
  119.
  120.
  121. -John Grammaticus is looking for a mysterious figure. He needs her to tell him how to can stop the Emperor because he is the only thing that can stop Horus.
  122.
  123.
  124.
  125. -This figure is protected by a Space Marine named Leetu in unmarked colourless armour. He has no loyalty to Horus or the Emperor. He is sworn only to protect her to his last days.
  126.
  127.
  128.
  129. -One of John's psychic abilities is logokineticism. The ability to understand and speak any language.
  130.
  131.
  132.
  133. -The mysterious figure is named Erda. She is an ancient and powerful Perpetual. The conversation between her and John revealed many things but I will focus on the most interesting and alarming stuff that Erda said :
  134.
  135.
  136.
  137. Despite being the most powerful of her kind, she is nothing compared to the Emperor. The Perpetuals are aberrations and he was an aberration among them. A freak. Not only more powerful but he is a different magnitude of power. That's the main reason why the Perpetuals couldn't stop or contain him. Even en masse the Perpetuals could not hope to match his power.
  138.
  139. The Emperor is not a god. He is a man at heart. A wonderful, fabulous, and funny man. He merely used his immense power to try to steer mankind to a better future. Because of his overwhelming abundance o power he was more effective at it than most Perpetuals.
  140.
  141. What are Perpetuals? There is one theory about it. They are a natural mutants. The next step in humanity's evolution. They are the "Homo Superior". The Perpetuals used their longevity and unique mutant powers to guide mankind toward a future where their kind was the new normal. Where Homo Superior replaced Homo Sapiens.
  142.
  143. Not all Perpetuals were on aboard. Some used their powers selfishly indulging their whims through the span of many lifetimes. There are others like Oll Persson who became insular deciding not to have any part of this ongoing game.
  144.
  145. Oll Persson is the oldest Perpetual. He was born in the age when the gods seemed to be real and as a consequence he could never shake off his religiosity. He believed that Perpetuals shouldn't meddle in the affairs of humans. He believed that only God is meant to guide the fate of mankind.
  146.
  147. The Emperor had many names but she knows him as Neoth. It's the name he called himself when he met her
  148.
  149. The Emperor was a warlord at the time of the first human cities. He joined the game of guiding mankind like most of the Perpetuals. His great vision and power led most Perpetuals to adore him and love him. Though, their awed affection for him concealed the danger of his ambition. The Emperor wanted to complete the work of the Perpetuals that would have taken millions of years in a few generations
  150.
  151. Over time, the Emperor located and tried to recruit every Perpetual. Some joined in. Some refused. Others fought against him. Some of the greatest conflicts in human history were started by rival Perpetuals trying to thwart the Emperor. The Emperor prevailed but in some eras he was badly setback.
  152.
  153. Overtime, the Emperor out of arrogance and hubris began to alienate his fellow Perpetuals. He would not take their advice. Would dismiss their caution and council. It was his way only. Only he was right. Anything else was heresy.
  154.
  155. Most Perpetuals left his side and he was glad to see them go. He resented their caution and objections. He resented that their minds couldn't match his genius and vision. He resented that they didn't blindly follow him. Few of the Perpetuals remained by his side. Malcador was married to the Emperor's cause. And Edra.
  156.
  157. The Emperor could not wait any longer for humanity to leap into its Perpetual future. It has to happen now in a short time frame. He is like all Perpetuals an immortal but he had no patience to wait it out. If his companion Perpetuals left his side, then he would create perpetuals of his own
  158.
  159. The Primarchs were created to be the Emperor's artificial equivalent to Perpetuals. They were created from the Emperor's own flesh and blood and coded to accelerate his Perpetual Programme. They were to be utterly indoctrinated to be have no opinions of their own, to follow him blindly so that they wouldn't fail and abandon him like the Perpetuals.
  160.
  161. The Emperor's flesh wasn't the only genetic material used to create the Primarchs. For his project, the Emperor needed Edra's skills as a geneticist and also her unique genetics. She became both mother and midwide for the Primarchs. though, beyond that the Emperor allowed her no influence. When the Primarchs were born she finally understood the horror that the Emperor wrought and will spread across the galaxy. Nothing good would come of this. So she decided to depart the Emperor's side. Though, Astarte her colleague stayed. Before she left, she had to do one final thing. She would save her sons from the bitter fate the Emperor planned for them. She took the child Primarchs from the Emperor and then scattered them into the Warp in order to save them from his mad ambition.
  162.
  163. She fled and hid after this. The Emperor raged hard and long at this betrayal and theft but oddly he didn't come after her.
  164.
  165. The Emperor eventually moved on and began the Great Crusade. A thing he always planned but now an excuse to find his sons. And he did find them all and returned them to his side. She had failed to protect them from him. She merely delayed his ambition. She tried to stop him but failed in the end.
  166.
  167. Edra's main issue with the Emperor's plan is his urgency. His usurpation of nature with the creation an artificial version that trampled all ethics, morality, and wise caution. Basically, she was against his end game of Artificial Perpetuals.
  168.
  169.
  170.
  171. -Leetu reveals that he doesn't belong to any of the legions or any of the Primarchs. His father and mother are Neoth and Edra. He is a template. One of the first Space Marines. Created before any of the legion genelines were spliced up. His name "Leetu" is just a contraction of his serial number.
  172.
  173.
  174.
  175. -Basilio Fo tells Keeler that to construct the weapon that would kill Horus one must have access to Horus and to understand his linage. His sire. Fo says that he knew the Emperor during the Age of Strife, Back then no one could not not him. Fo says that he was there when the Emperor became a thing of terror. On Terra before Unification, the warlords and leaders were monsters but the Emperor stood out. The others saw their own flaws or cared little for them but the Emperor saw no fault in himself. He was utterly arrogant and confidant. No shred of doubt at all. He even took the title of Emperor before he had an empire.
  176.
  177.
  178.
  179. -Fo explains that the Emperor couldn't stand criticism and doubt. He wanted blind obedience and what best way o achieve that than become a god. His way of gaining godlike status in the sight of humans was using the pathological trick of denying his godhood. His humble act of denying his godhood while appearing as a god was a tool of control . To foster faith and submission in mankind. The pinnacle of tyranny. As a godlike being he would be followed blindly. Never doubted or criticised. This is all he wished for. Keeler is the perfect example of this. The more the Emperor denied godhood the more she believed in him. She doesn't know his plan yet she is blindly devoted to it. Unquestioning.
  180.
  181.
  182.
  183. -The weapon that Fo plans to create is a biochemical phage. Designed to only to end Horus but the whole Primarch lines. It would not stop there it would travel and end all transhumans. Primarchs, Space Marines, Custodes, everything. It would save mankind from the monsters that the Emperor created. Keeler decides to deliver that knowledge to Dorn
  184.
  185.
  186.
  187. -For some reason, the daemonic flies that swarmed all over the battlefield and infested soldiers, just dropped and died in the presence of the Custodes. It's as if they are the Emperor's will made manifest.
  188.
  189.
  190.
  191. - Camba Diaz of the Imperial Fists died heroically fighting against the World Eaters. He fell plenty of them with his sword and shield until his sword broke. He fought on regardless. Even as he butchered and mauled him he fought on until the end.
  192.
  193.
  194.
  195. - Jenetia Krole acted in the shadows of the battlefield. Striking and kills the enemies of the Emperor. Her sudden aid were taken as miracles from the Emperor by the common soldiers. A hidden silent angel stalking the PoV characters characters Ollanius Piers (a different and seperate Ollanius from the Perpetual Ollanius Persson) and Hari Harr (One of Sindermann's Remembrancers/Interrogators).
  196.
  197.
  198.
  199. -Oll Piers and Hari are a comedic duo. Oll Piers is an absolute outrageous mad lad and seeing his adventures in the field of battle alongside his straightman Hari was quite fun. Despite being memetic duo, the scenes feature tackle deep stuff like the horrors the soldiers face in war and how they cope with them. One coping mechanism is telling stories. Often these stories are filled with lies to mask the ugly truth of war and inspire fellow soldiers. As Hari is writing about the latest battle, Oll asks him change up the details. Instead of Oll defending a banner with the image of the Emperor on it, he would be defending the Emperor himself. Instead of a World Eater, Oll would be confronting Horus himself. In this version, Oll would stand between the Emperor and Horus. Willing to give his life for his liege. Hari looks up at Oll and tells him that no one will believe that. Oll responds that they don't have to believe. The point of the story is that it should be inspiring. Hari considers this and begins writing.
  200.
  201.
  202.
  203. -Eidolon at the behest of Abaddon managed to convince Fulgrim of joining their plan at Saturnine. It sounded like fun for the Daemon Primarch. A chance to break the stalemate and earn glory. So instead of investing a few companies for the effort, he will bring his whole legion.
  204.
  205.
  206.
  207. -Arkan Land is recruited by Malcador to fix the flaw in Saturnine. He hastily concocted a liquid filler. A sealant. He names it Lockcrete. It flows like water and sets fast becoming harder than ground rock. Drills will fail to break through it. But Malcador held off sealing the flaw just yet. Dorn's plan is to draw in the traitor forces to the flaw's are and ambush them. Whoever is coming would be a worthy kill. Perhaps it will be Horus himself. It' a gamble but it's worth the risk.
  208.
  209. -Dorn knew for the longest time that Vulkan was alive and on Terra. He decided to keep his presence a secret to spare him from any pressures and disturptions as he defended the palace from within. When Malcador, to Dorn's dismay, revealed the truth of Vulkan to the Khan and Sanguinius, Dorn had to feign shock in order to save face and hide the fact that he withheld information from his brothers. He was afraid that his acting would be seen through by the Khan and the Angel. They didn't. Dorn found it worrisome how lies have become too easy for him. Dorn the lover of fair war was forced to use deceit as a tool. He hated this fact as much as he hated those who forced him into it.
  210.
  211.
  212.
  213. -Angron came the Eternity Wall Port but this time he didn't just come rampaging through. He spoke to the defenders. In accordance to the law of the arena, he offers them once chance to submit. Their forces are outnumbered and they are facing a foe they can't hope to defeat. This is their final chance
  214. to turn their backs on a ruler unworthy of their loyalty. Angron demands their answer. And the defenders give it to him. All the guns, weapons, and artillery rained down on him. A delude of bombardment.
  215.
  216.
  217.
  218. - Sanguinius was inside Angron's mind as this was happening. He felt his brother die. Torn apart by the storm of bullets, plasma, and shells. He felt sorrow at a death of a brother but he was glad that Angron's pain was over. But then the vision snapped back to the crater where the gore of Angron pooled. He felt Angron's fury being reborn. He saw Angron's gore and armour pieces merge and regenerate. Angron was being reconstituted from death. Angron brought an oozing still skinless hand to his mouth and licked the blood from it before saying "My blood for the Blood God". Angron stepped from the crater. His new form was larger and more brutal than before. And it was obvious to the horrified defenders that all reason faded from his mind. Nothing remain now but savagery and hate.
  219.
  220.
  221.
  222. -The Stormseers of the White Scars call upon their elemental powers to counter the much potent magics of the Thousand Sons. The Scars storm ravage the daemons and fell some of them. The Khan and Valdor take advantage of this and sally forth. Riding to face the Neverborn and the titanic daemons. It was noted that the Custodians somehow at the ability to render true harm to the daemons. The unnatural forms of the daemons had no defence against them. Not even the titanic daemons could withstand the spears of the Custodes. The daemons were swept from the field.
  223.
  224.
  225.
  226. -As Constantin Valdor fought and slew the daemons, his spear gave him the truth of the daemons that fell before him. Each daemon that he left screaming and clawing in the mud increased his understanding of Chaos.
  227.
  228.
  229.
  230. -As the White Scars closed on the Thousand Sons that summoned the daemons, the sorcerers vanished. This ended the battle. Colossi was successfully defended. The Great Khan emerged victorious. Magnus was displeased with this defeat but said time is on the side of the traitors. This whole thing wasn't a failure. He got what he came for. Magnus and Ahriman leave to make preparations.
  231.
  232.
  233.
  234. -Abaddon's elite strike force started to arrive to the Saturnine flaw. Tybalt Marr's team was the first to arrive and they were the first be ambushed by the loyalists. Marr got shot up badly and as he laid in the ground bleeding, Loken crouched down put a bolter into his mouth and pulled the trigger.
  235.
  236.
  237.
  238. -Falkus Kibre and Garro engage in an intense duel which ends with Garro tearing open the chest of Kibre. Garro witnessed black blood and gore gushing from the traitor. He saw that Kibre ceased being himself in organic sense for a long time. The daemonic entity that nested inside Kibre screamed and fled leaving the poor wretch as a broken husk. Garro whispered "poor bastard" before ending the misery of the traitor by striking off his head.
  239.
  240.
  241.
  242. - Lev Goshen meets an unsettling ending. The drill craft carrying his marines gets stuck in Arkan's Lockcerte. The Lockcerete solidifies trapping him and his men beneath ground in a claustrophobic hell with no way out and no one coming for the rescue.
  243.
  244.
  245.
  246. -Loken and Tarik Torgaddon duelled. The possessed corpse of this old friend proved to be a monstrous foe. The daemon wearing the flesh of Tarik fought him with more berserk than a World Eater, with more energy than a Night Lord, with more tirelessness than a Iron Warrior, with more rapidness than an Emperor's Children. It was the blunt trauma of the salamanders. It was the seething rage of the Space Wolves. It was zealous hatred of the Word Bearers. It was the shining terror of the Blood Angels, it was the unknownability of the Raven Guards. It was the invincibility of the Ultrmarines. It was the constant motion of the White Scars. It could't be trusted like the Alpha Legion and it couldn't be bargained with like the Thousand Son sorcerers. It was rotting from the inside like the wights of the Pale King. It was an Angel of Death in every sense of the term. But it was not a Luna Wolf. The battle tested Loken to the limits but he felled Tarik with a stab to the heart with Rubio's dead blade. The power that animated Tarik's corpse either fled or was extinguished. Loken wanted to burn the body but there was still battle to win.

  250. -Fulgrim was taunting and tormenting a young wounded Imperial Fist. As he about to end him.....SUDDENLY SIGISMUND OUT OF NOWHERE. Sigismund barrelling at the Daemon Primarch hacking at him. Sigismund was actually hurting him. Forcing him stagger back. Sigismund continued to hack and swing at the Daemon Primarch three times his size. Fulgrim kicked back Sigismund like man kicking away an aggressive dog, only for Sigismund to get up and come at him again with more swings. He buried his sword in the Daemon Primarch's thigh. Fulgrim shrieked with indignation more than pain and reached out grabbing Sigismund by the throat and began to choke him. Sigismund used his sword chain to rip out his sword from Fulgrim back to his hand and then he began swinging again. Delivering a series of sword slashes to Fulgrim. One of them split his lips forcing the Primarch throw him away and issue another shriek. Fulgrim screamed "How dare you?" and strode towards the marine but was interpreted by familiar voice. "Sigismund's courage sometimes outstrips his abilities". Fulgrim smiled and glanced back to see Dorn with his sword raised. Dorn finished with "mine doesn't."

  252.
  253.
  254. -Dorn wailed on Fulgrim smashing and cleaving him with his great sword. But the greatest would he inflicted on Fulgrim is revealing that he got rused. The Mournival plan failed. Fulgrim allowed himself and his legion be used a distraction for a failed effort. Fulgrim deployed his entire legion against a wall that can be held by 1/10 of their number. Fulgrim's legion was been decimated for nothing. Dorn had hoped to trap Horus himself but Fulgrim will do. He will kill him.
  255.
  256.
  257.
  258. -In response the wounded Fulgrim smiled and commended Dorn's work. He told him that he is will informed but there are things he doesn't know. Dorn demanded that he name one. Fulgrim obliged by naming three. One, Fulgrim cannot die. Before Dorn's eyes, Fulgrim's wounds and damaged armour were restored to the way they were. Two, Fulgrim might be immortal but he can still feel pain and he will not endure it any longer. Let others grind Dorn down, Fulgrim is done with this. Three, Dorn is the one who will die today.
  259.
  260.
  261.
  262. -Fulgrim vanished and left Dorn to be surrounded by a ring of Emperor's Children champions led by Eidolon. Sigismund and Dorn fought back to back against the champions. Of all the champions, Eidolon tested Dorn the most. The fiend had the strength of a Primarch. Both son and father struck down champion after champion. When Eidolon surged forward, Sigismund rushed to meet him. They fought like possessed men. When Eidolon rammed his sword through Sigismund's collarbone, Sigismund his weight to wrestle the sword from Eidolon's grip and then he came on. Sigismund slashed Eidolon splashing himself with quicksilver blood before kicking him down the wall. The rest of the Imperial Fists came and after they purged the last of Emperor's Children a victory cry shot into the darkness. The Imperial Fists stood victorious this day.

  266. -Abaddon as trapped with no way out with his fellow Sons of Horus. Death was certain. Teleporters homing signals. Abaddon fought with skill and tenacity but with more and more Imperial pouring in all hope was lost. As wounded and bleeding Abaddon fought on, he reflected on the events that led him here and figured out what happened. Pert has manipulated him. This was Pert's idea. He had shown it to Abaddon. Fanned Abaddon's ego, tempted him with glory. Made him his willing pawn that did all the leg work. With Abaddon's first captain connections, Pert knew that knew that Abaddon would invest the best of the Sons of Horus, get the Emperor's Children to play along, and broker an alliance with the Dark Tech Priests. All the credit for this operation would be Abaddon's so if it failed all the blame would be his. In this failure, Pert would have deniability. In death, Abaddon would be disgraced and dishonoured. He would be called Abaddon the overreaching. Abaddon the fool. Abaddon decided if he ever escaped he would go after Pert, He would melta his war robots and fight the Primarch. He would rip out Pert's skull and ram Forgebreaker down his throat over and over until he burst the Primarch's corpse.

  269.
  270. -Abaddon eventually calms down when notices that this fight became like arena cage fight. A contest of how many foes he can defeat before he can be taken down. And there was such talent set against him. Sepatus, Haar, and Garro. As he killed and killed more loyalists Abaddon realised that he is feeling grateful for Pert. He owed the Lord of Iron a debt of gratitude for this. Abaddon was always had been a warrior. It's his life. His purpose. The skill of combat. The lessons of defeats. The joy of victory. These things were sacred for Abaddon. The Warp is just a distraction. A mere weapon. Only fools worshipped it as some kind of god. Magnus, Fulgrim, and Lorgar. All fools. And even Horus was a fool. Let the fools worship giggling abominations, this fight now is all he wanted. Pert gave him the chance to fight for victory as a man, not a daemon. To claim Terra in the old fashioned way. For that he owed Pert thanks.

  273.
  274. -As Abaddon fought on, his world became simple. This fight was his life in its purest form. It was just skill and courage tested to the limit for no greater purpose other than for the sake of skill and courage. There no longer was any higher purpose. No Emperor. No Warmaster. There was only war. And he was Abaddon the warrior. So let them come one or all. He is ready for them.
  275.
  276.
  277.
  278. -The three marine heroes came at Abaddon. Garro attacked first rending Abaddon with two wounds that would have killed a lesser marine. Abaddon repaid him by punching hard enough to smash him against a wall. As Abaddon moved to finish Garro, Sepatus blocked Abaddon swing and duelled Abaddon. Abaddon was amazed and mesmerised by Sepatus's swordplay. He felt sorry that he had to kill him. Abaddon lashed out and cut Sepatus in half. It was then that Endryd Haar aka the Riven Hound slammed into Abaddon and pinned him a wall. There was no skill in Haar just a beautiful kind of fury. Haar had Abaddon by the throat and began using his powerfist to hammer Abaddon's helmet. Behind the malformed helmet Abaddon's face became a mess of gore. Despite repeated thrusts from Abaddon, Haar kept it. The strength of his hammering seemed to grow with how much blood he lost. Abaddon's blade found Haar's throat and he stabbed through it toward Haar's brain. Finally, the Riven Hound died but his dead weight kept Abaddon pinned. Abaddon saw Garro approach sword raised and gleaming. There was no time for escape. This was it. This is how he is going to die. Abaddon didn't want this fight to ever ever end. But the end came anyway. Then in a flash of light, Haar's body was shifted and fell away. Abaddon was teleported away. Garro was left screaming "NO NOOO!".

  282. -Abaddon was carried by dark tech priests to safety and placed into one of the seats of the drilling craft. They tried to report things to him but he wasn't responsive. He was whispering something over and over. When the tech priests checked him closer they found that he was weeping. He was whispering "Let me go back" over and over.

  285.
  286. -Loken found Aximand trying to find a way out. Despite being the wrong Horus, Loken would kill him anyway. The fight was brief. Loken rams a chainsword through Aximand's chest and then lifts him. He revs the chainsword sawing into Aximand's body. Loken held him for a bit letting him release a long drawn out scream of agony. Then with a stroke from Rubio's sword he beheaded Aximand.

  290. -Jenetia Krole as prepared to face her end. She remembered all her accomplishments. She slew many many World Eaters. Many of their champions. She made the Neverborn fear her. She turned back the charge of the Beastmen. She remembered the death of her Custodian companion Tsutomu. It took 16 World Eaters coming at him at once to fell him. She managed to take revenge on two of the 16. She remembered the heroism of the humans and how they fought side by side against the World Eater and daemon tide. But his greatest accomplishment is how she unexpectedly affected people with her actions. She became an unlikely conduit of faith and strength. She faced the World Eaters for the last time. She kills 6 more World Eaters before facing Kharn. Kharn was unaffected by her Null aura. He slayed her and didn't notice that he did so until the kill counter flickered up by 1. Kharn was confused. He didn't see anything. He didn't remember killing anyone. The confusions passes as the nails start to bite and he moves on.

  294. -After all the bloodshed in the Eternity Port, all that remained was Ollanius Piers defending a banner with the image of the Emperor on it. Angron saw him and began charging his way. Bravely and heroically Ollanius Piers stood his ground and defended the Emperor's banner. Firing beam and beam into the center mass of Angron. Then it was over. bathed in blood, Angron raised his fists into the sky and roared. The Emperor's banner now blood soaked slipped from its broken pole and fluttered to the ground.

  302. -Sanguinius and Dorn meet each other to review everything that have happened. All crisis points were defended with the exception of Eternity's Wall Port. Dorn in Saturnine managed to eliminate three companies of Sons of Horus including the entire Mournival. He decimated the Emperor's Children Legion and it's likely that Fulgrim quit the siege. Despite this, Sanguinius noticed that Dorn didn't seem satisfied. Dorn explains that he wanted Horus himself and not Fulgrim that he settled with. Also another thing bothered him. He only held back Fulgrim barely. Fulgrim cut the wall open. He thrust deeper and harder than any of his brothers. He came close to winning. If it wasn't his his excess and overconfidence, he would have. Dorn believes if Horus can harness the power of any of the Daemon Primarch properly rather than have them raging about, then a Daemon Primarch can end the siege in a matter of days. Such is their power.
