  1. Green Cremation: What You Should Know
  2.
  3. Green cremations are a relatively new aspect of an ever growing trend which has been growing for many years. In America, green cremation has become the second most popular alternative to the standard funeral. In some areas of the nation, cremation has been selected for as much as 80% of all funerals performed. With all of this growth and growing popularity, it may come as no surprise that many people have not even heard of this alternate option.
  4.
  5. One of the things that make green cremation such an amazing option is the fact that there are two different options available. There is a full memorial service which will include the viewing of a special memorial display while a viewing blockage occurs in the crematory where the body is incinerated in the desired container for burial. If you choose to have a viewing block instead of a viewing display, you and your loved one can both be able to view the cremation together. Both options are really just alternatives to cremation as they both offer your family more comfort along with more environmentally friendly options.
  6.
  7. With more people becoming interested in eco-friendly cremations, the demand for these services has grown tremendously. This means that more facilities are offering eco-friendly options, as well as more traditional services. The main difference between the two options is that the traditional container used for cremation, called a cremation casket, is made from a non-biodegradable material like bone meal. With bio-cremation and green cremation, your loved one's remains are placed into a natural, comfortable urn, which can be picked up after the ceremony by the caretaker.
  8.
  9. With traditional cremations, there is also the issue of disposing of the cremains. If you choose to have a viewing screen placed outside of the crematory, you will have to deal with this disposal of the ashes. Bio-cremation allows you to handle all of this responsibility yourself. In addition to being more environmentally friendly, green cremations tend to be more affordable to the families who are left behind by the cremation process.
  10.
  11. Green cremations tend to take longer than traditional cremations. With a traditional funeral service, the body is cremated within twenty-four hours after the service. There is also a chance that the remains of your loved ones can be received by other relatives prior to the cremation, if you so desire. With an eco-friendly service, it is not always possible to receive notification prior to the cremation. With a traditional cremation service, notification of the cremation can generally be received twenty-four hours after the service.
  12.
  13. The choices for eco-friendly funerals and services are increasing. More people are choosing to use an eco-friendly burial or cremation. Green cremations may be more expensive than traditional, but you will know ahead of time whether you will be able to pay for it, and what your options are in terms of a funeral memorial service, memorial candles and other items. If you would like to honor and recognize your loved one, choosing a non-traditional cremation may be the best way to go. For more detail visit: https://www.greencremationtexas.com/
