Case Dossier - Wyoming Incident

Brief

Pendulum 797 learns about the Wyoming Incident through Night Mind's videos following the most recent installment on the series. After further investigation, Pendulum decides that based on the timeline of the events and how well the details of Senor Bambos' account of the story fit in the newest audiofile, the Wyoming Incident may be more than an ARG. Pendulum initiaties a priority one investigation into the Wyoming Incident and invites members of the Reddit ARG community to collaborate. The day after this invitation was announced, Jack Q. Pembry, presumed creator of the Wyoming Incident ARG, releases an image of what appears to be notes of some sort. Pendulum begins to suspect that it is possible that Jack Q. Pembry has entered P-WIT, but this suspicion is later dropped.

Pendulum begins attempting to find personally identifiable information on both Jack Q. Pembry and Senor Bambos. No identifiable information has been found as of 1/29/17.

Pendulum has sent emails to SenorBambos@gmail.com, SenorBambos@yahoo.com, SenorBambos@hotmail.com, and SenorBambos@outlook.com. Although Pendulum cannot confirm whether or not SenorBambos truly uses these email servers, this is the closest lead to coming to contact with Bambos himself presently available. [These emails were later returned to sender; these addresses do not exist.]

P-WIT is shut down and archived. Public contact regarding the Wyoming Incident has been terminated. The investigation, however, is still ongoing.

The better part of a decade and that is too fking long. Yeah, I'm getting a little frustrated. Hold on. See, I'm fking sure there's something in this...that he...I don't know why I downloaded it. There's an attachment that I didn't download. Hold on. See that one I don't even recognize that file type. No, I've scanned both of them, and apparently there is not any malware in it that... I don't really understand any of this stuff, I got to be honest with you. No. Just out of the fking blue. Shit like...there's always phases. He's not making any attempt to disguise who he is at this point. Cause I mean we settled...I got a lot of emails from this guy and it was always a different email account...it was almost always a different email account. And they're all in phases just like this...so fking stupid me, what do I do, I open it. Like I do everytime he sends me one cause I'm a fking moron. No, I already talked to them. They're not going to do anything about it. Thats not a basis for...there's so much BS surrounding this. It all just seems like a big joke. That's all it seems like. It seems like a joke. Uh... I would feel like an asshole. Three calls in four days. It's exhausting. I'm sick and tired of this. I mean, because with him it's always long gaps. Where it finally seems like everything is over with, and then boom boom boom, its like a shit ton of things happening at once. Like it just occurs to him, I've got to torment this guy who I've never met, who I've only had to work with only a couple of times, I'm just going to dial him up, send him an email, annoy the shit out of him. I already did that. Twice. Yeah, last year. When I sent you the new number. What do you think that was about? Its always him, and he knows my address. And I don't see how he could have all this personal information and not have that. I'm jus- no, my main concern is that I'm going to end up with him or something he's left behind on my doorstep. This guy, something isn't right with him. He's
not completely there. He's been like this to varying degrees ever since we started working together. The first three, he was more or less normal, or at least as close as he gets to that, but even after that point when I started editting stuff and when I started having any sort of input at all, he's just gotten weirder and weirder. Its everything that was already there and just heightens. A year will pass sometimes and its just complete and total silence, but it's like he gets agitated or something. He doesn't. The last one I got was the last one I got. And like two of them, he [did these out] to people I still don't know anything about. Because I wasn't really, that's what I don't get, because I wasn't involved at that point. Like I hadn't been involved in this for a really long time. In like a house within a house, or a crawlspace, or whatever he's talking about, but he just rambles on with about stuff like that. But you know, its, its impossible with him to figure out what exactly is true and what is this morbid shit he likes to make up. Exactly. I don't know what he's going to do. Because each time this starts, it's more aggressive than it was the last time. And I've heard that things have happened that I knew about that I don't think people...people aren't going to believe me. But I've just got this gut feeling that something bad is going to happen.

ForFirstGroupReview Interpretation

It appears to be an email correspondence from several years ago, in which this individual named "Joseph Bright" was apparently messaging the puppet master about the ARG. The puppet master responds to this message with an explanation as to why the lore is in this ARG, and explains that the structure of the controllers of the ARG consists of one outer group and one inner group directing things without the other knowing. It appears that Bright came close to joining this inner group, but was unsuccessful, perhaps for lying to JQP. Based on the way the message is phrased, it would appear that Bright didn't like the roleplaying aspect, but JQP insists on it being used. JQP proceeds to talk about some sort of dream he had in which he meets one of the demon children introduced in the ARG some time ago that lack eyes. The dream ends with JQP not understanding whether it was a dream or some sort of vision. This explanation is abruptly ended with JQP telling Bright that JQP will be initiating all contact from that point onward.

Inferences

Shortly before Christmas/ New Years post 2007/2009 (depending on definition of end). Trucker video search has thus far turned up the earliest possible date of mid 2009 with the monster truck and the train+truck incients.

Currently living on/near the coast – “martin lives just down the coast”

Over 21 years of age if in USA due to access to alcohol. Further implied by the release date of ‘Replay” book by Ken Grimwood in 1986.  Assuming author owned book – as left for recipient – at some point in childhood. Author has also left home, another indicator of being over 18.

Author is an aspiring performer of some description. Creative as made friends with online art guys.

Wyoming incident was the last of major projects that went off the rails (due to Martin connection). Unknown what the project was before that. -    Martin = participant on TWI. Should be noted that the comment on C3/3 is from Martin to Joseph.

Daniel + Willie = friends who grew up together. Query as to why texts are expensive?

Query if Miranda = Mi = Detector. Male pronouns have been used to describe the detector however.

General Timeline & Events

August 9th, 2006 : The first initial event relating to the Wyoming Incident began on August 9th, 2006, when a video regarding the alleged hijacking of a television broadcast in Wyoming was uploaded to Google Video. The description of this video is as follows:
"A hacker managed to interrupt broadcasts from a local programming channel (believed to server several smaller communities in the county of Niobrara) and aired his/her own vieo. The video contained numerous clips of disembodies, human heads showing various emotions and "poses". The camera position changed often (usually every ten-to-fifteen seconds) and the video was often interrupted by a "SPECIAL PRESENTATION" announcement. This clip is taken from one of these interval. The video is mostly locally well-known, and would probably not even be popular if it were not for the effects it had on the few residents who watched it for an extended period of time. Complaints included vomitting, hallucinations, headaches, etc. While some believed it was paranormal, specialists have determined that the cause of these afflictions were frequencies played regularly throughout the broadcast. In this clip, the frequency being played is somewhere between 17 and 19 hz. This range of frequency, when played for long periods of time causes the eyes to subtly vibrate, sometimes inducing visual hallucinations. This video is significant in that is one of the most recent television hijackings. Such actions were rare even in the '80s (search for Chicago Max Headroom Incident) and are even more rare today. The hacker has not yet been caught, and all attempts to trace the video have proven futile."

January 24, 2007 : User named XyzzySqrl created a post titled [WI][TRAILHEAD] The Wyoming Incident on the SomethingAwful forum. This generated discussion among users of the forum as to the legitimacy of the ARG, one user noting that the video was uploaded several months before it was ever noticed, suggesting that the PM must have been patient.

February 6, 2007 : User named Lyrainthedark posted a link to the next video. User joined two days before making this post, and only had a total of nine posts before this one. The video was titled "Weird Video I Found" and was uploaded on February 5, 2007 by GiveMeANumber. The uploaded claimed that this was a video left on his doorstep. Uploaded cited an individual named "chad" for helping him with the tags. Relevance as to "chad" is questionable.
References noted by certain users; Iliketowatch being a possible reference to a movie called "Fear Dot Com" , and GiveMeANumber being another possible reference to Neil Gaiman's Sandman. Both of these references pertain to serial killers/death.

February 15, 2007 : User Viraldetector77 makes a post on the SomethingAwful forum noting a strange comment made on the video by a user named Iliketoread. Iliketoread posted a link to a blog that was almost a year old who allegedly owned the original video. Iliketoread suggests that an individual named Daniel Cable owned a different copy of the video; perhaps a connection to Danny. It should be noted that the day after Viraldetector77 made this post, the final blog entry was made by GMiller, in which he told users he would answer three questions of their choosing and a fourth of his own. It would appear more likely that these blog posts were created by a random journal entry program. Each of these posts occured on a 3rd, 13th, or 30th of the month. Each post was posted at a similar time to one another. The sequence of time created by the journal entries begins at 3:55 PM and results in 2 minutes, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 1 1 1 1 1 1 2. One of the individuals mentioned in the blog post is a Donald Wilson, who is discovered to be a deceased veteran who lived in the area that the Wyoming Incident originally took place. Among his relatives was a man named Robert Vreugenhl, who was his step son. Searching this name on the GMiller blog revealed his name and a phone number. After having called this number, the sounds of a heartbeat on a scanner can be heard, with the call ending after a flatlining sound. An hour after this occurs, Viraldetector77 notes another blog post in which GMiller links to an old forum called "The Happy Cube". There were posts on this board that had existed since 2004, and had not been active since until the day it was discovered on February 15, 2007, with Jack Q. Pembry being a moderator. Iliketofix had also joined the forum on this day.
