- Welcome to Module 5.
- Module 5 focuses on the commentary portion of Task 2.
- When you respond to the commentary questions in Task 2 you will refer to your submitted video clips. You should refer both in the video and in the commentary to specific lesson numbers. In the commentary you should also refer to specific time stamps to guide the evaluators to the specific portions of your video clip that you are referring to.
- Commentary questions refer to how you:
- • Promote a positive learning environment
- • Engage students in learning (connect to the central focus)
- • Deepen student learning (connect to the central focus)
- • And ask you to analyze your teaching.
- • Rubric 9 will provide guidance on subject-specific pedagogy
- • Many handbooks also encourage you to add references, diagrams, graphs, and other visuals if you reference them during your video.
- Each content area will have specifics within each category and some content areas will have additional categories.
- In Module 5 you will find resources that include examples of commentaries in different content areas and videos that go over the various prompts in the commentary.
- For Module 5 you will submit your commentary by Oct. 14th.
- Module 6 is next and will introduce the Task 3 assessment commentary. s
