(20:50:03) Dean Pierce's face twisted. "Fuck, man..." That whole thing was horrific. Not a nice time in history. He was glad Slick approved of the dick. For some reason, he expected him to pull a Trevor and get offended or something. "Yer buddy Vince tell ya that? It's lizards, I'm tellin' ya." He cracked his knuckles and shut his eyes again, trying as hard as he could to find the answer to the latest question. "Eh, I just kinda figured it was Putin since he's a dictator, figured he probably took power a shitton long ago 'an kept it. Okay...Baltic...Baltic...Baltic...uhhhhhh. Fuck fuck fuck. Dayton Accord...accordion...accordion is entertainment...movies are entertainment...movie...movie...AH! A serbian film! Serbia. And uh. Shit. They all end with 'a's, I remember that...Croatia..? And...Armenia..?"
(20:57:50) Will Hadote shrugged. "Guess there's a reason why it's in a history book now." And nope, no Trevor pulled. "He's just paranoid of aliens. Surprised he doesn't wear a freakin' tin-foil hat." As for the question. "Uh... Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia." He took a moment to finish his cookie and chase it with his coffee. "In what year did North Korea declare that it had successfully tested its first nuclear weapon?"

(21:01:48) Anzu Gardner stepped into the cafe, looking...well, kind of like shit. Sweatpants, a sweater, and a heavy jacket. She just wanted a big cup of coffee to fix all of the nasty that she was feeling. She didn't get far, however, before she saw a familiar face. "..Pierce!" She walked over, noticing Slick as well, and she gave a nod. "Hey, Slick." She looked over to Dean and sighed slightly. "So uh...what exactly happened to me last night?"
(21:05:46) Dean Pierce smirked, "Well, y'should get 'im one fer Christmas. Bet he'd love it. Or not. I dunno. Don't really know 'im at all, really." He winced. These questions were getting hard. "Serbian film...Croatia, BOSNIA THE BOSS. Ok." Next question. "Uhhh...It was recent, right? 2016? But they're fuckin' lyin'. They failed a shitton. Otherwise, South Korea would be obliterated by now." Just as he was finishing his answer, Anzu came in. Dean winced. "Hey. Feelin' any better?" He took another sip. "Y'passed out. Voices. I uh, I brought ya back to the hotel. They unlocked fer me as long as I didn't stay there with ya. In case it was date rape or somethin', I guess. Good hotel staff."
(21:11:19) Will Hadote snorted in amusement. "I dunno. It'd make Daiyu roll his eyes, and Vince'd probably wear it just to see that happen." Slick opened his mouth to say the correct answer, before Anzu came in. "Hey." Then talked about last night. He looked to Dean as he answered, before he sipped at his coffee. None of that was any of his business.
(21:13:23) Anzu Gardner listened to Dean and nodded slightly. "..thanks. I really appreciate you helping me out like that." She smiled softly. "Yeah, they're good people. Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you guys." She felt like she was always butting in to their brotime. "I'm gonna go grab my coffee. I feel like I'm going to fall over, honestly.." She went over and ordered her drink, giving the guys a minute alone if they wanted.
(21:17:03) Dean Pierce chuckled. "Straight-faced Daiyu? SMILIN'? I'll believe it when I see it!" He flicked one of his snake-bites for absolutely no reason. "Oh yeah man, no problem. I'm sure you woulda done the same. Y'still look kinda down though. Anythin' I can do to-" She was heading off to the coffee, so he leaned back down and giggle-squirmed in the seat. "I'll get 'er when she gets back. Kay, so did I get that question right?" The next time Anzu glanced his way, he formed an 'O' from his mouth and started inhaling loudly.

(21:20:54) Will Hadote shook his head. "Nahh, rolling his eyes." He shrugged to Anzu regarding the interruption. "Just helping him study." Before he remembered the question he'd previously asked didn't come with an answer. "Oh, uh, 2006." At Dean's... whatever he was doing, Slick made a bit of a 'what the hell' face. "I miss something?"
(21:23:17) Anzu Gardner was standing in line and glanced over to him. When she did, she was greeted with...Kirby. She snorted out laughter, having to cover her mouth to control herself from fully busting out. She couldn't believe he was doing that! In public! Once she got her coffee, she hurried over and leaned right in, pressing a light peck to his lips. She smiled softly. "Geez...you know how to make me feel better, don't you?" He seemed to know just how to get her smiling again.
(21:25:57) Dean Pierce groaned. "Fuuuuck. 2006. Nuclear. Two oh oh six. Two oh oh six." He rubbed his temples, trying to force the information into his brainmeats. He then burst out laughing when Anzu did, and turned his attention to Slick. "I told 'er once I wanted to Kirby 'er face after she told me she wanted to kiss me. So I was tryin' to Kirby 'er over." And just then, she strolled over to kiss him. "See? It worked! I get all the sugar, she gets the funnies."
(21:30:06) Will Hadote figured they were done with studying, since Dean's girl was here- when did they first meet? Two days ago? He couldn't remember, not that it really mattered. He finished off his coffee as Dean explained things. "Oh. Well, that's one way to do it."
(21:32:52) Anzu Gardner chuckled a little bit, sitting down. "I guess it's a win-win situation, then." She looked at the books and smiled at Slick. "It's really nice of you to help Pierce study like that, Slick." It seemed like he was a really good friend to Dean. That was good. She was glad Dean had a friend like that. She knew there were many times in her past that she'd wished for a friend that nice. "You can keep going if you want, I'm just gonna sit here and drink my life-juice."
(21:35:34) Dean Pierce scooted a little to make room for Anzu, petting the couch a couples times to indicate the invitation. "Definitely a win for me, babe." He sure wasn't as unsettled as he'd been yesterday. "Oh my GOD. Slicky is the fuckin' best. Like, this guy? This guy has my goddamn back. This one time, I got kidnapped by an underground, mob-run fighting ring and tortured for weeks on end, and he's the only person who came lookin' for me. If he were a girl, I'd be fuckin' right in his tonsils right now. But like, in a brotherly way."
(21:41:35) Will Hadote wouldn't consider himself 'nice', but then again he did have some self esteem issues still, even after almost thirty years. That shit didn't go away entirely. Aand then Dean started talking about things he shouldn't have been. Slick was hoping Anzu, and anyone else hearing, would just assume it was a grossly exaggerated made-up scenario; looking at Slick's scars, though, maybe it wasn't. At least he was wearing a hoodie, which covered them! "Uhh, thanks." Yeahh, that last part.
(21:44:08) Anzu Gardner was glad that Dean wasn't freaking out so much, but she had no idea if that had anything to do with last night or not. When he went on his rant about what had happened, her eyes widened slightly. Well...that was impressive. She wasn't really surprised, though, if it was true. He was quite the enigma. "Well that's great, Pierce. It's always good to have friends like that." She smiled at Slick, sitting down by Dean as he requested. "Sorry I keep interrupting your brotime."
(21:48:01) Dean Pierce's face twisted in horror. His right arm jerked upwards and his fingers splayed out. "Oh god, no," he whispered loudly. His hand moved in jerky motions, coming close to his face, then turning sharply. "I-I can't control the prosthetic, it's...it's---" It snaked its way around the back of the sofa, then set itself on Anzu's opposite shoulder. SMOOOTH. "I can't stop it. It does what it wants." He grinned. He then nudged Slick with his foot. "Ehhh we 'aint really doin' brotime. He's helpin' me study fer a test monday."
(21:53:18) Will Hadote - Her widening eyes suggested that maybe she was actually -believing- what Dean said, or she was just humoring him. He hoped it was the latter. Standing, he put his coffee cup away in the tray on top of the trashcan before returning. "And if you answer the questions Monday like you did tonight, you're gonna ace it."
(21:56:41) Anzu Gardner looked confused as Dean started doing something with his hand, but then she started laughing, and when he finished his move by resting his arm over her shoulder, she smiled and leaned in against him. "A test on Monday, huh? Well, I'm sure you'll do great, especially if Slick says so. Maybe I need to run off so you can keep being a studious fellow," she teased. She sipped at her coffee, already feeling so much better.
(21:59:17) Dean Pierce grinned. FUCK YEAH. Tonight was awesome. Best friend on one side helping him study, hot gal on the other, the most pleasant and comfortable of buzzes. He could get used to this. He wasn't even worrying about whether this would turn into tragedy any second now. "I dunno 'bout acin' it, Slick, but I wanna at least pass it. I'd fake a seizure to get outta it, but apparently I aint very good at that."

(22:03:41) Will Hadote shook his head. "You'll definitely pass. Oh uh, and if it's multiple choice and you're stuck on a question, generally the right answer is C." He shrugged to Anzu; he really didn't care either way. Dean had studied enough as far as he was concerned, though granted Slick had never studied for a test in his life so any studying was enough.
(22:10:43) Anzu Gardner smiled and nodded. "You'll do great, Pierce." She listened as Slick gave him encouragement again, and she sipped contently from her drink. She was feeling a lot better. She had felt so horrible and messed up when she woke, but now she felt warm and much more content. Maybe it was just because she was refusing to think about what had happened in her brain last night, but, whatever.
(22:14:33) Dean Pierce's mouth opened wide. "Wait, C? Seriously? Then why don't people circle C every single time??" Someone wasn't passing the statistics portion of his math class. He did looked reassured though. "I'll study a bit more over the weekend just in case, but y'all are right. Daddy's got this." He leaned his head towards the warm, soft female creature and inhaled through his nose. MMM. SMELL OF WOMAN.
(22:17:42) Will Hadote shrugged. "I mean, it's not the answer -all- the time, but most of 'em apparently turn out to be that. It's saved my ass before." Just how though or how many times, he had no idea. He didn't remember those types of things from his middle and highschool days- y'know, the actual school portion, go figure. He looked at Dean as he legit smelled Anzu. "That's fucking weird, man."

(22:20:31) Anzu Gardner didn't really mind him sniffing her. She just nuzzled back against him, closing her eyes for a moment before going back to sipping her drink. "Thanks again, Pierce, for taking care of me last night. It means a lot." And it said a lot to his character, too. She had known he was a good person, but he certainly proved it last night.
(22:24:31) Dean Pierce nodded with a thoughtful look on his overly-content face. "That's super good to know, man. I'll keep that in mind when I'm answerin' stuff tomo-uhhh, Monday." Yeah, don't skip over the weekend, it's the only good part of your life. He got a little flustered when called out on the sniffing. Dean's head retracted and he lowered it towards his shoulders. "I didn't mean to," he whispered. Back to Anzu, he shrugged. "It was nothin', bruh. I just chucked ya in bed 'an ran fer the hills." That was not exactly true. She'd been tucked in, her shoes and socks had ben removed, and he'd left a glass of water on her bedside table.
(22:27:32) Will Hadote looked a little amused. "And if it fucks up and they changed their game since I've been in school, don't blame me." Disclaimer! He shrugged as Dean got slightly defensive about the whole sniffing thing, then briefly checked his phone's lock screen after it buzzed briefly in his pocket.
(22:29:49) Anzu Gardner chuckled a little bit at the exchange, then smiled softly. "Well it was still nice." She looked at her cup, now empty, and stood up. "I think I'm going to head back to the hotel and get some more rest. I'm still feeling pretty off after everything last night." And she needed to call Trevor again at some point. She leaned in and gave Dean a quick kiss, then straightened and smiled at Slick. "Have a good night, okay guys?" She put her cup away, then headed to the hotel to get some rest.
