- One of Drakkon's daggers soared through the air and embedded itself in Lingering Will's shoulder. With a single hand, Vergil pulled out his Yamato. He intended to fight with both weapons at once.
- “Dual wield!” he said.
- Vergil assaulted Lingering Will as if it were a punching bag, he started with a piercing sword jab to the abdomen, followed by a rising upper slash that launched the armor into the air, one swift dive kick knocked it back down, ten blue daggers appeared around his body, he slicked back his hair, (“Now I’m motivated,” he said), he spun in circular motion, each rotation tore apart chunks of the Ranger armor, each dagger hit exploded on contact, he landed, cut at the air with Drakkon’s devil arm, a shift in force knocked Lingering Will back, ten more daggers appeared, his hair slicked back again (“Now I’m motivated,” he repeated, as if a mantra), his sword thrown like a boomerang bisected Lingering Will, as soon as it returned he caught it, over and over he repeated these motions as one swift combo to leave him in a perpetually stunned state.
- Still, Lingering Will refused to perish.
- Each injury healed in tandem, he reformed as Vergil tore him apart, never able to truly deal a final blow. Vergil didn't seem to mind, his grunts of satisfaction showed he viewed this all as a game, one he didn’t want to end anytime soon.
