—personality description: hyoyeon is the personification of sarcastic. she's the type of person you do not want to ask a stupid question or else you're gonna get her famous bitch face and a sharp sarcastic quip back. she is fluent in sarcasm and sometimes cannot be assed to answer your questions or even bother to give you a reaction. sometimes this can come off as rude but in actual fact underneath she loves her members a lot and will stand up for them for them in a snap. she is very loyal to her members and will not accept any sort of bullying towards her members from anyone.

—background: when growing up with a brain surgeon of a father, and a business woman of a mother, hyoyeon was bound to feel on her lonesome as any child naturally would. despite having an older brother that constantly wanted to pick fights with her (obviously to get her attention), she felt like she was being pushed aside by her parents. to make up for the constant excuses why they were never there and to heal little hyoyeon' broken heart, they showered her with presents. anything that was uttered from her little lips, she got. same thing with her older brother. if he wanted a fast car, and a model pronto, he would get that fast car paired with a model. hyoyeon may have been young, but she wasn't stupid. she could see through everything that her parents were trying to pull. this lead to an obvious dislike towards her parents, and the only person she could turn to was her brother.

hyoyeon has spent majority of her elementary life bickering with her older brother about anything and everything. from what to have for dinner or who gets to watch what on the tv. this was the only sort of entertainment she had as their parents were too busy traveling around the world or saving someone's life, then shoving gifts down their throats to make up for it. it didn't make either ahn child happy. this brought hyoyeon and her brother closer as he would always take care of her, but wouldn't ever show his affection as he just brushes it off with sarcasm, so this then influenced hyoyeon to become witty as well.
