  1. Staff Rules & Obligations by ACCoker and Panther (Rough Draft)
  2.
  3.
  4. The reason why this is necessary in the first place is because there haven't been any set-in-stone rules for the staff team. We all have obligations and responsibilities as staff members, and from now on everyone will be expected to abide by the following rules. If anyone takes this as a joke and we feel that you aren't taking your position seriously, you will no longer be a part of our staff team.
  5.
  6.
  7. Staff Applications:
  8. When anyone applies for staff, it needs to be submitted through the Chain subreddit, no exceptions.
  9. When we are considering new players for t-mod, every single current staff member gets a say. Once everyone has given their opinions, the majority vote will be the final decision.
  10. If any existing staff members have an issue with a new t-mod promotion, they are expected to accept the fact that they are now part of the staff team. Any hostilities between staff members will not be tolerated. If any staff member is seen harassing another staff member, they will be demoted.
  11. If there is a personal issue or argument between staff members, it is expected that it will be settled on their own terms, completely separate from Chaincraft.
  12.
  13.
  14. General rules for the staff team as a whole:
  15. The server rules apply to everyone, including staff members. Any form of toxicity will not be tolerated. This includes every aspect of Chaincraft. Public chat, helpop, Discord chats or voice channels, etc. You will be expected to act professionally, regardless of how you act in your own free time. This includes alts as well.
  16. Any staff member found violating server rules will receive a warning as a first offense. If it happens a second time it will be an automatic demotion.
  17. If someone reports another staff member for breaking these rules, there needs to be visual evidence of the offense.
  18.
  19.
  20. Regarding abuse:
  21. Any form of abuse will result in an immediate demotion. If other staff members are found to have been involved or witness to an abusive situation without immediately bringing it to the attention of an admin, they will be found just as guilty, resulting in a demotion.
  22. Abuse counts as anything that allows a staff member to receive an unfair advantage over a regular player, excluding basic staff permissions.
  23. Using staff permissions as a threat to normal players during a discussion will be counted as abuse. Giving specific players more severe punishments than others just because they are disliked will be considered abuse.
  24.
  25.
  26. Trial Mods and Mods:
  27. T-Mods and Mods are required to follow everything that is listed on /rules, no exceptions. The basic responsibilities of these roles are everything mentioned above. Abide by these rules and there will be no problems.
  28.
  29.
  30. Admins:
  31. From now on, the position of Admin will be more difficult to reach. On top of basic staff responsibilities, they are also able to assist with drop parties, host events, etc. Under no circumstance are they permitted to use creative mode other than times when they are required to, such as drop parties. Using it for anything else will be an immediate demotion, no exceptions.
  32.
  33.
  34. Staff Manager:
  35. The role of Staff Manager has one main priority: overseeing the staff team. If you have an issue, you go to them. If there is a rift in the staff team, it is the Manager's responsibility to sort it out. If the situation is unable to be resolved calmly, you may then consult with ACCoker. This is a last resort, only for extreme situations. However, there should be no public arguments within the staff team in the first place, as previously mentioned.
  36.
  37.
  38. Owner:
  39. First and foremost, I am the only owner. I am not omnipresent. It is not my responsibility to sort out every issue on the server. If there happens to be a dispute regarding a member of the staff team, it is expected that it will be resolved peacefully, calmly, and privately. My responsibility is to ensure that the server stays running. I handle everything behind the scenes for the most part. I oversee the server builds, plugins, bringing in new players, drop parties, improvements to the server, etc. Please do not expect me to come to the rescue any time there is an issue on the server. I may be the owner, but that is not solely my responsibility. That is why we have admins and a manager. That is not to say that I have less of a job than anyone else. Not everything that I do for the server is seen to the public. I expect you all to be respectful of that.
