Where can I find a list of the last people of famous events? (Example: The last American slave?)

I still haven't found who the last American slave was to die. I guess he was somewhere north of 100 years old when he died though.

Anyways, I love to read such a list - a list of last people of famous events, to pass away. Thanks.
