  1. The endlessly long blade swept from right to left.
  2. Kamijou responded by forcibly swinging his upper body down. If he blocked it with
  3. Imagine Breaker, it would only be a repeat of last time. This attack was made to be
  4. destroyed. However, that also meant Mathers expected this magic to be destroyed by
  5. Imagine Breaker. By shaking off his fear and not using his right hand, he could catch the
  6. man off guard. He could unbalance him, just like letting go of the rope just before your
  7. opponent pulled in a game of tug-of-war!!
  8. “!!!!!!”
  9. Kamijou understood the logic of it, but not using the card he had to play was even worse
  10. for his heart than he imagined. When he heard something pass by overhead, he seriously
  11. felt like his heart had shrunk. Tears welled up in his eyes. The worst attack in this case
  12. was not one aimed for his head or heart. It was one aimed for his navel. That was his
  13. center of gravity. It was simplest to think of it in relation to each of the body’s joints, but
  14. unlike the face or legs, that area was the hardest to move around and thus the easiest to
  15. hit. If he jumped, the attack would hit his legs. If he ducked, it would hit his face. Targeting
  16. that general area was the most frightening thing when the attack was powerful enough to
  17. tear his body apart no matter where it hit him.
  18. But he managed to dodge it.
  19. He had made a change of plans as soon as he noticed this was at hip height.
  20. Ducking was not going to cut it.
  21. Instead, he ran forward and threw himself to the carriage roof to slide below the deadly
  22. attack. Once the blast of water had passed him by, he got up by pressing both hands and
  23. his right foot against the roof. He took a crouch start and then started running.
  24. He had gambled his life on that choice.
