(12:14:15 PM) ***Blueshift_North is doing the thing she does sometimes when she gets agitated where she sits down, and then after a couple of moments, gets up and walks around the room.  It just takes a couple of moments because the chairs on this ship are too soft.

(12:24:03 PM) Blueshift_North: Still she keeps pacing around the room in an agitated way, and keeps sitting down to try and open a movie or play some sort of video game, and then closes it to pace around the room.
(1:00:56 PM) Reise: Reise cruises in through the doors. She's wearing her new suit of armor, a much tighter-looking getup this time--Blue might even consider it "skin-tight" if it weren't for the fact it's still obviously power armor, replete with plating and with the near-silent whine of servos with each step. It's far less bulky than the old armor was without looking like it sacrifices any protective value.

(1:02:54 PM) Blueshift_North: "If it's like the cushions on this ship I'll just sink into the floor." She sounds harsher than she intends, then sighs.  "Sorry."

Look, how things shook out on Lael kind of fucked things up for Valentina and her only real crime was being naive and I don't like that and I can't do anything about it because while long term I think we probably saved the lives of everyone living there we fundamentally ruined her life and I have no idea how to actually do anything about it, or if there's anything I could or should do about it."

(1:31:39 PM) Reise: Reise runs a gauntleted hand through her bangs. "I'm going to be blunt here. You're being an idiot. You're taking on responsibility that doesn't belong to you. Did you *force* the asshats in charge there into kicking her out? Was it your idea?"
(1:35:19 PM) Blueshift_North: "I. . . no.  But that also doesn't mean that I like unfair situations or that I don't want things to be better for people who have ultimately done nothing wrong."
(1:43:18 PM) Reise: "No, and that's fine. What I won't hear anything about is how we 'fucked anything up' for her. So you can let that part of it go. Any misery she's got right now is between herself and the Sigmarites. If she's taking it out on you then that's her problem. Would it be nice if she got back in their good graces? Sure. Is that something we need to work on immediately? No, not really, not when we're staring Vinter's fortress in the face."

But here on this ship where everything's too soft and I have nothing to do and after? Plus she's mad at me.  Well.  Us? Probably? and I don't know if that's an entirely wrong impulse or if it's going to make working with us an issue."

(1:57:37 PM) Reise: "So. It bothers you that Valentia got excommunicated or whatever, and now she's taking it out on you. Meanwhile we're about ready to sneak into Vinter's homeland. Which problem are you going to prioritize, and which one are you going to shut out? Literally, if you have to. I'm sure you can compartmentalize parts of your mind to deal with later."

We're going to hit the ground, there's going to be a fascist horrorshow we'll turn up, I'll be real mad, and fine mostly for a while until after we stab Vinter to death after which point I'm going to be a mess and need to talk to my therapist and cuddle with my girlfriend for a while.  Same as it is every time we fuck with Cygnar."

(2:35:00 PM) Blueshift_North: "I. . . look Adelinda's had a hard time of things lately and having a cover identity that plays into things she likes is a nice thing I can do for her."
(2:39:44 PM) Reise: "You don't have to explain it. I'm deferring to Linny on this one--I might be working undercover on Sigil, but *she* was the actual spy. If anyone knows how to integrate with what's down there, it'll be her, so I'm just waiting to see what she's got in store for the two of us."

(3:05:52 PM) Reise: "And the back side to that point is that she has a kink list a mile long." Reise shrugs again. "*You* might be embarrassed by the maid outfit and what it means to Adelinda, but I've pretty much lost that capability after these last couple years."

(3:14:40 PM) Reise: She puts on an air of arrogance, easily recognizable from her behavior on the Mechanicus sphere. "Naturally."
(3:17:40 PM) Blueshift_North: "Thanks for putting up with me uhhhh.  Constantly.  Being an emotional shambles."
(3:20:48 PM) Reise: "Hey," she says, softening. "What are friends for?"

(3:25:04 PM) Reise: "Exactly. When this is all over, you and Adelinda need to just go somewhere for a little while. Maybe come back hitched. It'll do you two good."
(3:25:47 PM) ***Blueshift_North turns bright red.  "Her dad already thinks we're married."
