Unblade Senki [Beat Stage 5] (Freeware)

Another MT, another round of me posting obscure Japanese freeware games. Sometimes good, sometimes bad (last MT had a few top 8 submissions!) This time, you're a frog with an umbrella! It'll prove a worthy weapon... but more than just that!

Starting Point: Entering STAGE 1 (the 3rd area you can enter in the level hub)
Ending Point: Final hit on Flying Airship Kurofune in STAGE 5 (it'll start exploding and a cutscene will start afterwards)

Z (tap) = attack
Z (hold) = fold out umbrella
X = jump
Arrow Keys = movement
Down + Z = use powerups
Space = skip cutscenes / pause (in-game)

Alright, first of all you might want to open 環境設定.exe (basically options.exe) to lower the volume if it's too loud. There's a slider in that window. The first big button is to Save and Exit (保存して終了). You can also change keybindings (left being keyboard, right being gamepad, and then from top to bottom Jump, Attack and Pause)

Setting the game up:
Z/X will bring up the File Select. Z to select a file. A cutscene will play but you can skip this with Space. You will now enter the level hub. The first one we will disregard, it's a tutorial area but it's more fun to just jump right into the game. The second one is your house. Here you can save your game, which might be handy in cases of crashes or anything (press Z in the file menu to save). The third one is STAGE 1, which is where you .ready and wait for the signal to start the race. Have fun!

Gameovers will return you to the level hub. Your max lives increase after each stage. There are a variety of powerups/potions, just play around with them as you see fit. Ignore crystals, unless you really want to rack up some vanity (useless) points.
