- Jump #290: Final Fantasy Type 0
- >The Sun: A time of contentment and freedom from restraints.
- >Age: 19
- >Location: Dominion of Rubrum
- Who names these places? Might as well name it Redrum.
- >Identity: Drop-In
- >Drawbacks: The Fallen King (+300)
- GIRUGAMESH. Haha- wait why is he trying to murder the fuck out of me
- >The Flow of Magic (Free, Suzaku)
- Well, a nice passive boost to my magic is never a bad thing.
- >Summoner's Signet (1200)
- Summoning an extra copy of my target summon is always an excellent thing. I wonder what effect this will have when I summon a clone of myself...
- >Crystal Mechanics (1100)
- Useful, being able to replicate technology with magic, even if it takes some practice.
- >Phantoma Absorption (Free)
- I'm not sure if this sticks with me in future jumps, I'd like to know the answer to that. If not, I'd pay for it to do so.
- >Sight (Free, Drop-In)
- I'm not so concerned with the potential of critical strikes as with everything else with the increased ability to notice detail, but hey, it's useful.
- >Altocrystarium (900, Drop-In)
- Modifying the spells I cast seems to be a useful goal. I can work with that.
- >Directive (800)
- I have been to enough battlefields to know that getting people to obey my orders without confusion is INSANELY useful.
- >Practice Makes Perfect (600)
- As long as it's some type of training or task which is repetitive, I will be able to do better. And if I practice doing better, it will get increasingly better.
- >MP0 Magnum (500)
- A handgun that depletes magic points? I'll have to find a way to make it non-fatal, but oh, this will be so useful.
- >Guide to Avian Species: Breeding (300)
- I'm just going to give a copy of this to Cloud when I meet him. Also, going to breed chocobos like crazy.
- >Companion Import (0)
- Suffering shared is suffering magnified! ...wait, that's not how that goes, crap.
- Let's do the time warp agaaain!
- Oh shit is that a bomb literally casting Ultima in the distance? Fuck, let's not- AND NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR A BOSS FIGHT, GILGAMESH.
- Ahem.
- Anyway.
- Other than dealing with Gilgamesh (ENTIRELY too frequently, to the point where I am immediately escalating to high quality weaponry), after the first loop ends, the first thing I'm going to do on the SECOND loop is break out the water mirror and call Gala and Arecia and offer them a third option; option one is to let things continue, option two is to try to end things through brute force. Option three is negotiation, and Stars and Stones.
- Fal'Cie, aside from having a name that translates poorly, are locked into the task that they were told to perform... and this would normally be perpetually the case - except I'm from outside the system. I can flat-out tell them how the afterlife works, because I can SEE it. I can point out that they're all operating under false assumptions provided by mythology. And I can permit them to act counter to their nature - to realize that they've killed hundreds of millions of people, hundreds of millions of times - if they couldn't get the result that they wanted by now, they're not going to. They hit the five sigma mark and gone past it, and are approaching the six sigma mark.
- And if that doesn't work I'll find a way to sic Gilgamesh on THEM rather than him attacking ME all the goddamn time because this whole plot is so stupid that I DON'T EVEN HAVE THE WORDS. DERP, IF WE THROW ENOUGH SOULS AT HELL IT'LL EXPLODE, NEVER MIND THAT WE'RE TIME LOOPED AND KEEP GETTING THEM BACK AGAIN! God damn, Squaresoft, you've got some stupid writers these days. I miss the classic era.
