  1. Golden Queen
  2.
  3. Golden Queen is one of the many secondary antagonists in the Skylanders franchise, with her taking the spotlight away from main villain Kaos for most of the fourth game, Trap Team. In Trap Team, she is the leader of the Doom Raiders, a notorious group of criminals that were locked away in the crystalline Cloudcracker Prison. After Kaos destroys the prison, thinking that doing so would make the Doom Raiders loyal to him, they are freed and quickly begin a new evil plan.
  4.
  5. Golden Queen, being the leader, has final say in the plan. Her plan, which includes such convoluted elements like time travel and stinky cheese, involves a weapon that can trap the many floating islands of Skylands into snow globes. She threatens to do this unless she is given all the gold in Skylands, something that doesn't impress previous suck-up Kaos, who wants to take over the world. After her defeat near the end of the game, Kaos takes over as the villain, and plans to use the power of the weapon to take over the world.
  6.
  7. Golden Queen, despite only wanting gold, is far more threatening of an antagonist than Kaos is. She has an obvious Egyptian motif, which is played up the more she appears in the series. Her most threatening power, as one might expect, is her ability to turn anything she touches into gold. She also shows up in the Skylanders Academy Netflix series, where she is considerably more comedic, but also still more of a threat than Kaos is.

  10. Golden Stats
  11.
  12. Weight - 107
  13. Walk Speed - 1.24
  14. Run Speed - 1.971
  15. Air Speed - 1
  16. Fall Speed - 1.8
  17.
  18. Golden Queen's stats are close to fellow staff wielder Palutena, but with a noticeable dip in speed thanks to her being much more of a heavyweight character compared to the goddess, but she's generally still fairly speedy. The biggest difference ins tats are the Queen's fall speed, which is far faster.
  19.
  20. Golden Queen, despite being similar to Palutena in stance and a lot of other things, is roughly as tall as Ganondorf, slightly taller thanks to her headdress, and around as wide as him as well. Her animations are similar to Palutena's, however, with her walk being a regal stride, and her dash being a hover. Her jumps err on the mediocre side, compared to Palutena's Good jumps and Ganondorf's Bad jumps.

  25. Neutral Special - Winged Scarab
  26. Golden Queen swipes her staff forward, firing out a single golden scarab, which flies forward as a relatively simple projectile. The shape and hitbox of the scarab is near identical to the infamous Beetle item, except this is much less of a pain in the ass to deal with since it just explodes on hit. The scarab flies at a decently fast pace, again similar to the Beetle item, and on contact will deal 4% damage and light knockback. It's very difficult to actually KO with the scarab, but it can be spammed decently, as you can have up to 3 on stage at a time.
  27.
  28. However, there are a few unique traits to the scarab. After flying forward for around 6 Blocks, it will quickly veer off from the direction it was previously heading in, and instead home in on the opponent for the next 4 Blocks worth of travel, after which it will disappear. This extends the life of the projectile, and can act as a good ledge guarding tool if nothing else. Golden Queen can also charge the move up to make it more powerful. With 45 frames of charge, Golden Queen will instead fire off three scarabs at once, which circle around each other and act as a single projectile. The three scarabs will deal a singular 8% damage on contact, but once they hit the 6 Blocks mark of travel, they will break up into individual scarabs, going back to 4% and homing in on the enemy. The scarabs will always home in from different angles, spreading off as soon as they break away from the cluster. This gives the opponent fewer options to dodge them.
  29.
  30. With 80 frames of charge, Golden Queen will instead let loose a massive scarab, slightly wider and slightly shorter than a Party Ball in size. This scarab will deal 12% damage on contact, but it won't disappear after that, instead it will continue to move at a slow rate until it hits 6 Blocks of distance, where it will then disappear. The large scarab, instead of homing in, will leave behind clouds of gold dust that will linger for a second before vanishing. The clouds are split up into Block sized chunks, and will deal passive hits of 1% to any opponent standing inside them. The clouds are timed to disappear half a second after a new one is made, meaning that they don't last long, but are good for stage control.
