- $25/Day Using LinkedIn On Fiverr
- Every now and again you find a technique that a "lone hitman" is using that nobody else seems to talk about. That's what happened to me the other day when I ordered a fiverr gig.
-
Note: I could EASILY sell this as a WSO (and I am sure that if this was in the main forum, it would get ripped off in no time!) but instead I want to share it with you guys. All I ask is that, if you find this post to be of value, to consider subscribing to my free "Ideas Hive" newsletter where I share many ideas like this. I'll leave the url till the end, to let you judge this post for yourself and see if it is of value to you.
-
I've recently started to use LinkedIn a lot. This is an incredible networking and branding tool and it offers great possibilities for JVs, finding customers and operating a real, long-term, high value business. Forget about Clickbank affiliate marketing or selling ebooks - LinkedIn will let you collaborate and do "real" business. I realise this opinion could be controversial but there you go, I said it.
- The way I use it is to network like crazy and get as many connections as possible. This allows you to more easily contact other people without paying $10 per message like LinkedIn would prefer you to do! But getting tons of connections also lets you earn $25/day using fiverr.
- How do I know this? No, I have not done it myself. But I have seen someone over at fiverr doing it because I ordered a gig from him recently:
- This guy has 20,000 connections and for $5 will post your link to his updates. When his 20,000 connections log on to LinkedIn, they will see his update posted on their dashboard (along with those from others too) and as a result, some people will click through to the link.
-
He doesn't just post a link, he also does a bit of a pre-sell too. The result is maybe 30 to 100 clicks, depending on whether the update appeals to the audience and the time of day posted (he does post a LOT of updates!). For fiverr this is pretty good because most gigs there deliver nada traffic! Hence why he has such amazing feedback compared to most.
-
How much does he earn from this? Well, his queue is always full of new gigs and his gig has been live for 30 days and he has so far made 200 sales. At $4 income per gig, that's 800 bucks divided by 30 = around $25 per day!
- This guy has a niche all to himself that is 100 times smaller than the Twitter service niche. It is not like Twitter. LinkedIn audiences are slightly different. Twitter has a lot of kids, it's not really a serious platform. LinkedIn users are professional, and many of them are looking to do business. So if you operate such a unique service, you'll see that there's a great demand for it and little competition. You'll have plenty of gigs, just like this guy does.
- OK, so how do you get 20,000+ followers?
- First, you don't need to. You can probably get away with fewer, say 15,000 or 10,000 or fewer, and still get a decent amount of gigs. But how do you even get anywhere near that many?
- First thing you should do is join groups that are for "open networkers". Open networkers are those who say they will accept any request to connect. The biggest group is Toplinked (search for it), also search for LION (stands for LinkedIn Open Networkers). There are at least a couple of big groups by this name.
- Go into these groups and find one of the most popular posts where you can add your name to the thread. I recommend including your email address as people may need this to invite you to connect. Obviously, use a different email address if you don't want to use your main one. I simply set up a "forwarder email" on my cpanel in my hostgator account.
-
Generally speaking (groups or not), it can also help to put your email address in your surname field. I have seen many people do this so that when you get noticed by other LinkedIn surfers who are many "degrees" away from you then they can still connect to you because they know your email address (LinkedIn normally requires you to be connected via a friend or have something else in common to connect, but this can be bypassed if you know their email).
-
Of course, you can also connect to anyone in those groups mentioned. Simply click their name and click the big yellow button to connect with them. This is a little laborious so luckily there is.....
- A Mass Import List!
- LinkedIn allows you to do a mass import of email addresses in order to make connections (allows you to scan your gmail, yahoo mail too just like Twitter and Facebook etc.).
- Luckily, the biggest group, TopLinked.com, also has a mass list of email addresses of people (1,800 and increasing) who have agreed to connect to anyone who attempts to make contact.
-
By the way, beware of importing lists that aren't anything to do with open networkers. If just 5 people indicate "I don't know you" when they receive your request then LinkedIn can disable some functions on your account until you grovel to their customer support helpdesk (from what I hear they always restore you back though). Using the list from TopLinked.com is no risk though.
-
Like I said, you can get the list from TopLinked.com and import it. There are people selling this same list on fiverr which is obviously illegal and a waste of money, not to mention out of date!
- Also, trawl those groups mentioned for recent additions. These newbies will connect with you for sure. I'd stay away from old posts just in case people are no longer open networkers. You can always check though, by looking at their profile and seeing if they are still members of any of the above groups.
-
If anyone knows any other mass-import lists, I'd love to know. I did find an identical looking site called "LION" or something similar but the site looked identical in look and feel to TopLinked so I'm thinking they are one and the same company.
-
Keep building up your connections and finding new open networkers daily. When you join these big groups and do a mass import then people will automatically invite you anyway but it doesn't hurt to go and do some of the inviting yourself.
- Also, look through the connections of some of the people on your mass import list who you have connected to and you will find many other open networkers who indicate they will accept all requests.
-
Here's a really good tip: Some people put "OPEN NETWORKER" in their name. I would also personally check that they are also in some open networker groups too, just for confirmation.
-
How long will it take you to reach 10,000 say? Maybe one or two months is my guess. That's what I'm aiming for. It won't do you any harm to try selling gigs earlier than that.
- Then, not only will you have all the possible networking and JV opportunities but you will also be able to earn an easy $25 per day from copying and pasting a few links.
