Changing IP With A Router

  3. * DO THIS ON YOUR OWN RISK! *

  5. 1. Open CMD/Terminal, type in "ipconfig" or "ifconfig" if using Linux.
  6. 2. Look for "Standard gateway"
  7. 3. You should see something like "192.168.0.1".
  8. 4. Open your webbrowser and paste the Standard gateway IP.
  9. 5. Login to the router, look for an option to change your MAC address.
  10. 6. This is different for most routers, just search for it.
  11. 7. Once you find it, clone it, if there are no clone options, just leave it.
  12. 8. Take the last 4 characters of the address, and replace them with:

  14. Any characters from A-F and any numbers from 1-9.
  15.  
  16. Example ********5B2E
  17.  
  18. 9. Save, and restart your router.
  19. 10. You should now have a new IP.
