Orbs - Pull others and resisted

“Thank you, thank you!” the boy exclaimed, causing the crowd and his personal cheer squad to quiet down. “Greetings people of Pallet. I am Gary Oak! But then, I’m sure you all already knew that. Who hasn’t heard of the great Gary Oak?”

At that statement the girls behind him broke into another round of cheering. Gary waited for them to quiet down before continuing. “Now I’m sure you’re all wondering why I gathered you all today. That is because I have an announcement.” He paused for minute, letting the crowd’s anticipation grow. “As of today, I am suspending my journey to become a Pokemon masater.”

A few confused murmurs spread throughout the crowd. Gary in response simply smirked and let out a small chuckle. “Now now, I know you all are just heartbroken to lose a great trainer like me, but that’s actually the reason why I’m quitting.” More confused murmurs washed over the crowd.

Gary rested one arm against his shoulder. “In my travels, I’ve realized that when it comes to Pokemon there are winners and there are losers. And just about every trainer I’ve met is a real loser. So really, my wonderful talent as a trainer is making things unfair for those dweebs. They all can thank me later for dropping out.” His cheer squad broke into uproarious applause, a response that was met with yet more confusion from the crowd. “But fear not my wonderful fans!” Gary shouted as he extended his arm towards the sky as if he were delivering a soliloquy. “I leave behind the life of a Pokemon trainer only to move on to bigger and better things.”

As the cheer leading squad exploded into applause again, Gary reached into his bag to pull out a glass orb about the size of a Pokeball. “This orb is something I found on my journey. And it can provide me with far more fame and glory than I could have ever achieved as a trainer!”

The confusion in the crowd had grown so much that several of the attendants shouted “What?”

Gary merely smirked again. “Well, smell you all later. I promise that when I return, I will bring glory to the otherwise sorry town of Pallet.” With that, he crushed the orb in his hand. Smoke poured out of the crushed sphere enveloping Gary, his car, and cheerleading squad. When the smoked faded, all of it was gone.
