  200. I'm pretty sure that convo (now that I've read it) is definitely something that should count against him in some way. Giving out death threats like that in a serious manner, mainly. Not to mention some things I've heard from Icy, but I assume he has kept these things out of the mod forum, or they were ignored.

  202. The ONLY reason ragnarok is unbanned is because Roxas and Flame Dragon wanted him unbanned, and apparently campaigned for it. Icy still wants him banned, and so do Crab and Pika. Those are the ones that need to be appealed to. If I have the opportunity, I will deal with Roxas myself accordingly.

  232. I can't help but notice the similarities to Matt's unbanning. Ragnafag has a massive underground following amongst the weeaboo legion (whom I have long despised), so therefore unbanning would always be campaigned for. But what you must understand, my comrades, is that social mobility is terrible here on YCM. SaturnPaladin, J-Max, Rag's legion of evangelicals - they all have connections with the moderators. The only reason Ragnafag isn't banned is that he has masses of connections. Like Matt's banning, Rag's banning had a lot of campaigning around it, except unlike Matt (who was seen as a sort of vehicle of democracy, a kind of YCM Ernesto Guevara), Rag was a petulant spammer with the good wit of Wayne Rooney. Rag was only popular amongst his friends. The trouble was he had friends in high places. Clubs & Orgs is a terrible place (if YCM was a human body, Clubs & Orgs would probably be the tiny flap of muscle on the inside of the anus), yet it carries a lot of influence and a lot of power. The mentality of many clubs reminded me of Freemasonry and Scientology - like Scientology they prize famous members and have a psychotic level of devoutness, and like Masons they fix things for each other - they share connections. Rag was an idiot, but he was a well-connected idiot. George W. Bush Jr. was a well-connected idiot too, and he became president.

  236. My analysis is that we have two options - an offensive one and a defensive one. The offensive one would probably be along these lines:
  237. - Start a thread in General named "Ragnarok1945". In the first post just briefly touch upon the fact that he is back and let others discuss. When discussion reaches some form of stability, we all post a coordinated attack on him, each touching on different, pre-disposed point. We wait for a rebuttal and then go in for the kill, each expanding on each other's points and citing evidence. When people who are on the fence come to the thread, convince them of our views. Make grand, libellous accusations about his past, call him a spammer, etc.

  240. - All of us message different moderators (make sure they are all on our side) and talk about Rag. Each of us give different pieces of evidence, touch upon his past - basically, do what we would do in the thread but more relaxed, more civilised. This approach would spread doubt and could push the moderators to call a meeting about the topic. In fact, push them to make our doubts known in the Mod Forums.
  241. - Message moderators that support Ragnafag (Flame Dragon, for example) and present our case to them. Encourage them to mention in the Mod Forums. If we have both sides citing our viewpoints in an argument, it could produce a good psychological effect.
  242. - Then perform offensive strategy, except tone down arguments a little. Make it more civil.

  246. - Shows the staff that we are really passionate about the issue
  247. - Encourages on-the-fencers to agree with us and support us
  248. - Makes publicity (no such thing as bad publicity)

  251. - Evidence is revealed all at once, so even staff are surprised
  252. - If it does cause Ragnafag to be banned the site might gain more respect for us and support our revolutionary agenda

  257. - As Polaris touched upon, we are all on thin ice as it is. This could only make the team more unsure of us

  263. - We immediately take the moral high ground
  264. - Higher chance of convincing the staff of our cause
  265. - More time to consider our options

  269. - We get an opportunity to re-brand ourselves as civilised debators
  270. - Personal talks with staff are very effective

It certainly wouldn't hurt to have a stake in the team and I could probably get the lot of you promoted eventually. I don't think it's in the cards for me given my history, but I'm not exactly upset about it.

It's kind of endearing actually, how humble you are, but the truth is that you are the physical embodiment of every single revolutionary action in this site's history. You represent all the civil disobedience, all the campaigns, you are the champion of reform on this site. People saw your return as a victory for freedom, a flagstone in the long road to democratic ruling. You are probably the most significant member in this site's history ever.   327. I never claimed Roxas was the smartest person on the mod team at all, but I have been friends with him for a while. At least through Organization XIII anyway. And back when it was still active and when ragnarok first showed up, both I and the rest of the group had close connections with the majority of the mod team. This is no longer the case.   329. The problem is, I always would've thought that Roxas would've stayed loyal to the Organization, and me and Zex as well, instead of becoming a ragnafag like the rest. That is a huge problem, one that I need to think of a solution for. I tried getting Zex to help, but he doesn't care about YCM anymore so he won't bother. I didn't expect him to, but if he had decided to help I'm sure I would've gotten Roxas to change his mind somewhat.

  331. As for your idea of posting a thread, I will agree that the publicity will definitely do us some good no matter what happens. And if we go about it the right way, it will almost certainly get something done about the matter. The problem is though, ragnarok's fanbase seems to be larger than ever, especially since he claimed second place in that YMB tournament. Sure it's idiotic, but it shows just how popular he is. Also, a thread like that will almost certainly get all of us banned. Matt's more likely than anyone else's possibly being permanent.

  333. I already know for a fact through Icy that any kind of drastic measure like that from my end will almost definitely end in a ban. I'm not very popular with the mod team, or the rest of YCM for that matter at the moment. Mainly because of my long period of inactivity, I've become less well known. So because of that, I would have far less people supporting me. Sure most of my old supporters were idiots (there aren't very many intelligent people on YCM anyway.), but an army of idiots is still an army.

  385. Me? Ban invincibility? I've had one month off for negging Yankee (who said that no one is allowed to neg him) and another month for something else, I think it was Goatse-related. I'm not sure. But the one month ban for Goatse or whatever it was was supposed to be a perma, but I talked my way out of it. The other month for negging was different - Yankee told me it was just for the neg, but Josh told me via Windows Messenger that it was for all of my trolling exploits over the past year or so. Josh was lying to stop me from getting angry. Yankee is a power-mad psychopath. Giving him Mod Powers was a huge mistake.

I post the thread, then you spontaneously appear and post arguments. I back you up, you back me up. We say "Hey! What a weird coincidence? We all agree!". We don't make it that obvious, you get the point. The resulting furore garnered from that should make the mods stand to attention. When they turn up, we all PM them individual arguments. It's foolproof, and combines all of the good traits of both Offensive and Defensive strategies. We get the immediate impact of the thread and the civil PM debates, not to mention the time we have between our PMs finished and the mods reaching a decision.

I have one personal idea about the evidence - we mention it and use it to make allegations in the thread, but we don't post it. Then I PM a mod and say that if they do not do something to stop Rag's actions, me or one of my little nameless friends will post it. They won't want that, you see. They really hate anyone posting evidence like that.
