"Ah, what a wonderful day. I wake up and OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT THING?"
>"A comedian you are not. You knew this would happen, didn't you?"
"No, actually, I had no idea. I figured you'd keep living your life with less immortality than you've had for the last decade."
>"All that power, and you couldn't forsee this happening?"
"I am many things, but I am not omniscient."
>"Whatever. Where are we, and ... why do I feel..."
"Suppose I'll need to fashion you some armor... oh, and uh. Weapons, beyond just using magic, it's the local magic that you're feeling right about now. How do you feel about skeletons?"
>"Skeletons? What..? Why are you asking?"
"There's an army of undead skeletons nearby and... it's looking like every direction I go, there are more undead. Who want to kill us, apparently, no negotiating will work."
>"How do you...?"
"I'll explain my abilities in excruciating detail later, but suffice to say I don't perceive time as most do. So, it looks like some sort of undead army decided to take over the world. How do you feel about playing hero?"
>"Better than playing dead."
"I knew there was a reason I liked you."

And so we spent the next ten years as unaligned heroes that would willingly be allies of anything that wasn't undead, helping the locals fight back the Risen King and his minions and annihilate him.

Much to neither my nor Demona's great surprise, shortly after they won, the winners began squabbling with each other over what was left behind.
