  1. Hi so I think this pastebin was well overdue, this is regarding my whole thought of my trip to Adelaide in July for ASM 2016 and also what will be happening now. (Sorry for poor grammar/spelling)
  2.
  3. So start off I want to give a big shoutout to Yulf/Btrue/Seimii/Becky and everyone else who has been so generous to donate me money so I could have spending money whilst in Adelaide, it was deffinantly well used since I came home with 60 cents in my account. Meeting Washeyy/Liquid/Michelle was so natural and easy this year since I had already met them and now speak with all of them on a common and perosnal basis, but overall I was super stoked to meet Midget and SZniogre both awesome people and glad I got to room with them, we were blown away with how good our hotel room was as you can see in the video its pretty nice for 370 for 5 nights each person. Although I wish I got to spend more time with certain people I was living with it was still overall great to be with everyone.

  5. After coming home from Adelaide it has given me motivation to get onto my health issues, as some may have read tweets I was getting ultra depressed during the first few days of being there, last year I miraculously had perfectly fine health and ate like a pig, this year I was very careful with what I was eating yet I was sick and feeling anxious to eat anything due to not wanting to waste my day being unwell, I hate how badly this restricts my lifestyle, I cant drink alchahol and eat things comfortablly I have to fear the consequences and try not to do anything slightly reckless at all, I do not want this to be the case with my general life and next holiday since it held me back from having fun.

  7. I have alot of variant opinions on this years ASM, I will say now that this year was a definite improvement, we are deffinantly still no where near the final product in my eyes anyways. Now I have to give Softman95 and his crew the respect they deserve for putting together yet another fun event, I will say that the preparation before the event was excellent however my opinions variate as the event was going on. Now I know there was alot of personal requests since people wanted alot of things but the reality is that we do not have a shit load of runners who submitted so we cant do GDQ length events, in the end we did 4 days Day 1/2 Overnight non stop, then a day Break, then Day 3/4 10-9 10-5. This personally was where my disappointment was, I hated the fact I had this pressure of knowing I still had more runs, I am hoping next year that it is an overnight event that runs for 2/3 days so basically how Day 1/2 went which I find was more succesful with viewers and with the runners. I will start with the first 2 days noticing that there were alot of tech issues with SZniogre/Wersters runs where there was a 30 minute buffer, now I don't want to start any drama, but I sensed this owell attitude about it from some organizers but that's from a short evaluation of the situation. Also it seemed like Softmans PC wasnt up to the mark with almost majority of games during the Marathon similar to last year, I am grateful he was generous enough to lend his PC for the use of the event but hope we can provide a stronger PC for the future. The setup for the marathon was wicked and how it was all in a studio some minor things which may have helped was having a screen closer to the rows of chairs but the tv in the back was still fine, also as a runner it was very hard to not strain your eyes and focus with the bright lights around the studio blaring onto you, in the end it was done for good reason but just a thing to critique also my run on Day 2 which was Budokai was pretty good with an awful final fight which casued a death where Cell was 1 punch from death lmao. Now onto Day 3/4, This is where most of my issues were with the event in general are, now dont get me wrong Avcon is an awesome Con and I love going there even though im not big on Anime and stuff but for a speedrun demonstration it felt like the wrong place to be, once again this year we were closed off for MA 15+ legal reasons which limited peoples interest, also to prove something which was interesting there is a big stage at the event where they do absolute random and crap, as soon as Washeyy did his 16 star on the stage hundreds gathered around. Anyways back to Day 3/4 stuff, the setup was abit better than last year but my biggest issue was Audio, with constant Con announcements, delayed audio to speakers behind you, no earphone jack in the tv to use, people in seats asking obnoxious questions and there just generally being 1000's of people around it was hard to focus and commentate well with so many distractions I hope next year we could propose not doing Avcon as awesome as an experience it was I dont believe it will take us in the best direction for ASM. Another thing is the Schedule for the event, alot of runs were requested and duplicated just to fill in space, I felt some games were abit weak to showcase I dont want to list them sine it may hurt peoples feelings but you get my point. Also another minor thing which most will disagree with but I found some of the comments made on ASM accounts in chat were just not relatable to what was going on in the stream and abit memeish if that makes sense, just felt a lack of professionalism and lack of promoting runners channels and donation stuff just a thing me and the hotel guys picked up on. My 1.5 run was awful due to distractions and some sort of controller issues I was having which looked quite obvious, Halo 2 was abit of a bombshell because I let the pressure of members in the community bother me and also hard to focus once again, my skateboarding run I put no stress or focus into and felt like my commentary and gameplay was excellent and really enjoyed pbing in front of a full crowd.

  9. I think it would be wise for next year just to recap, to Have 1 Primary Stream for ASM and thats it, run 24 hour for 2/3 days. A stronger schedule and more focus on promoting the streamers and such and less memeing.
  10.
  11. Thanks all for the experience but whats next for me?
  12.
  13. As you know I was in doubt with speedrunning whether to quit outright and go incognito or to find drive and push hard with it to see some reward, ASM did help bring back motivation and here is the plan.
  14.
  15. Primary Speedruns:
  16. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Beginner Any% for World Record
  17. The Simpsons: Hit & Run All Story Missions for Sub 1:40
  18.
  19. After either is beaten?
  20. KH 1.5 JJ 100% WR/Level 1 Sub 4
  21. The Simpsons Hit & Run 100%
  22.
  23. After all those speedrun goals are out the way ill make another pastebin, im hoping during this period of my speedrun endevours I can achieve enough success with viewers and streaming to be able to become a Twitch/Discord Partner, this has always been a dream and only at 3k I never expected it, but I believe if I can provide good content and a pleasant experience im sure I can do it!
  24.
  25. Thanks all for the support it certainly helps battle against my depression.
  26. Your homie Saiyanz <3
